It’s not perfect, but it’s one of the best ways to find freight and stay booked. With a little patience and knowing how to spot the good loads, it’s made a big difference in how we run our operation Pros It’s easy to use and gives you access to a huge number of loads across the country. The search filters help narrow things down quickly, and the rate estimates give a good idea of what to expect before calling a broker. It’s definitely helped us reduce deadhead miles and keep the trucks moving. Cons Some of the loads are outdated or double posted, which wastes time when you're calling. Also, occasionally brokers don’t update their info, so it takes a few calls to find a real option. It would be great if listings were refreshed or removed more often. May 2, 2025 2.0 I have been with Truck Stop since I opened my freight brokerage, and it has always been a issue with bad actors and companies then taking you load and putting it under a fraudulent freight brokerage or stolen business identity company right on their own platform. Pros The number of carriers on the platform is great as they have a wide reach into the market. Cons The system is filled with bad actors and fraudulent users and truck stop cannot control it. They've been "working on" a bug for over 6 months and still haven't fixed it" February 19, 2018 1.0 Pros In the past, when this software worked as it was supposed to work, it was very nice and easy to use. Cons Since August 2017 their load search results do not refresh automically whenever there are new loads or old loads are removed. They know it and "are working on it". Unless you have time to manually refresh the search results, don't waste your money. It seems like 6 months to work on a problem should give them enough time to fix it. They lost my trust. Without IT I would have a difficult time finding back haul loads for my driver. I appreciate the fact that only reputable brokers are on the IT board. And if a broker is not reputable, once a complaint has been submitted with IT that broker's posts are no longer allowed with IT. I know I can trust the postings from IT. Pros IT is my first "go to" for brokered loads. It offers precise postings from brokers. If I click on a load I am interested in and the load has been covered it has an "OOPs this load is no longer available". I love that humanistic touch. Cons The only thing I have a problem with is that on some of the load postings the weight is not included but the same load could be posted on another board and the weight is on that board. But I realize that may not be due to IT, but rather the firm posting the load. " September 6, 2017 5.0 This site always gets me out of a pinch in the event of a cancellation of another load, etc. Pros I love the vastness. Choice is a #1 factor for both trucking companies and brokers. Everyone needs to know what they're up against and whether or not there are other options out there. Having the options to see the brokers, pricing, locations, and miles provides the best options for owners of large or small business. Cons I wish there were ways to categorize what you're looking for without having to almost start over. For example, if I'm looking for a specific broker, or dollar amount, perhaps I also want to see what day is listed and how long it's been up on the board, etc. But since you can only choose one listing at a time, it does limit which categories you can view at once. As far as loads Truckstop seems to have just about the same amount of loads as the other big load board. Cons That when you have a lane open it makes it look like you actually have a truck in that area. I have brokers calling me all the time about a truck that I really don't have in that area. I can choose only the modules that are pertinent to my company. I am also able to add or delete modules as needed for the current business situation.
