Pros It is absolutely free and records PC Screen without watermark. Another feature I like the most about ScreenRec is freedom of recording as much as you want; there is no time restrictions. ScreenRec also gives every user free cloud storage of 2 Gigabytes. Cons ScreenRec should work more on annotation tools. Though it has all basic screen annotation tools but still there is room of improvement. Alternatives considered [OBS Studio](https://www.capterra.com/p/164144/OBS/) Reasons for choosing ScreenRec I preferred ScreenRec over other products because I found it more lightweight and easy to operate. Cons I didn't like that the app keeps asking me where to save the screenshots every time I use it, which consumes a lot of time. The screen recording function doesn't work well, and the audio is much lower than the original one which is very frustrated. Few key features are missing, but I like the simplicity of the tool. Pros It is very fast easy to use for both screenshotting and screen recording. Very easy and fast way to share a public link to saved screenshots/videos. I also absolutely love the fact that there is a history/gallery available in the desktop app. It allows me quick access to my old screenshots. Cons The annotation toolbar is very poor and the experience when an annotation is needed is also very poor. It makes it simple and fast to be used, but it kind of looks outdated - the UI and the annotation toolbar to be honest. It doesn't allow me to edit the annotations when I open images from the gallery - the images seem to be rasterized and flattened. It would be very nice if I can open an annotated image from the gallery and be able to change the annotations. It doesn't provide direct share with some popular platforms. Switched from [Greenshot](https://www.capterra.com/p/229399/Greenshot/) [Snagit](https://www.capterra.com/p/209649/Snagit/) I use ScreenRec at the same time with Snagit and Greenshot, and I find myself using it more often than the other two, still, I keep all of them for some rare scenarios where ScreenRec isn't the best option.
