My email trail is an indictment upon the way they run their business. Promises of rectifying THEIR mistakes we brushed away by just unilaterally cancelling my Transfer without any notice (to cover their tracks). Pros The website looked OK and reviews seemed OK and when I went to the Website (for the 1st time) the Rate was OK BUT .......... Cons A simple cash transfer request turned into 34 swapped emails all of which are clear evidence as to Wise being inept, unprofessional and discourteous. One of the worst experiences I can recall with re-request after re-request for data already provided, and then THEY made errors thinking my name was my Banks Name and then THEY cancelled my transaction (probably out of shame given the disgusting disservice they gave me). I had previous bad experience with a rival company and wise has been amazing: the other company was not good with security features but wise has been so easy to use and fast to set up Pros I love this app ! I transfer my money here immediately after I'm paid and I know my money is secure and stays at same amount. I first downloaded it when I visited London and I wanted to convert my money into pounds. I was able to convert some of my wise balance into pounds which was better than paying in euro so I knew the exact amount. It kept record of my transactions and helped me see what I spent Cons I wished I could have lodged money directly onto the wise account: maybe that's possible if I got the physical card but for now I just have the digital one . But I had so much confusion setting up my account that I never used it properly. It is connected to my own expenses management platform, which makes it really easy to track expenses. Pros It's easy to use, has good fees for currency exchange and it is a well known platform, which means that a lot of colleagues also use it. Also the API makes it easy to connect to other services. Cons Sometimes the UI bothers me with unecessary stuff that I'll never use. It would be better if it was a little cleaner. Wise came through and solved this issue. Such a life saver! Pros How easy their credit card payments were to adapt in comparison to Revolut and its payment processing that was easier to do as a traveller for my money transfers between friends. I also want to highlight the secure payments because I have been receiving freelance job pays in a secure and fast way. Cons Certain rates are unclear and I may not be too sure if I got the cheapest rate which caused me security issues but it's an ideal option and a great software that helps my value for money when I need to transfer money. Wise hat die Überweisung verweigert und mir den Zugriff auf mein Konto gesperrt, ohne Begründung, nur mit dem Verdacht, gegen ihre "Bestimmungen" zu verstoßen, jedoch ohne Konkretisierung. Nun liegen meine gesamten Ersparnisse bei Wise und ich werde wohl die Bankenaufsicht bemühen müssen, um es zurückzubekommen. Dadurch verliere ich zusätzlich natürlich die Zinsen. Einer Aufforderung zur Rücküberweisung sind sie bisher nicht nachgekommen, was den Verdacht aufkommen lässt, dass Wise mit dem einbehaltenen Geld ihrerseits Gewinne erzielen, während man als Kunde Geld verliert. Ich hatte noch nie so ein negatives Bankerlebnis. Pros Zu Beginn schien alles perfekt: das Konto war rasch eröffnet, das Geld in minutenschnelle - dank REVOLUT Bank - auf dem neuen Konto, alles schien perfekt. Und dann wollte ich das Geld in einer Fremdwährung (USD) weiter überweisen an mein Anlagekonto. Ab hier begannen die Probleme. Cons Wise verweigert seinen Kunden einfach den Zugriff auf das eigene Geld. Ich war zuerst verblüfft und dann höchst verärgert. Auf Rückfrage erhält man keine konkrete Information weshalb, sondern eine Ausrede, man habe gegen irgendwelche AGB verstoßen, obwohl man gar nichts gemacht hat, was man nicht bei jeder anderen Bank durchführte.
