I am happy, loyal client. Pros I've been using wise (ex transferwise) for 8 years now, and I have absolute trust in this company. I love how simple and transparent everything is. With them, nothing is complicated or sketchy and I just love that. Cons The fact that you cant do much with money besides spend it or send it. I cant believe they dont offer loans or credit, because the problem is that since I've handled my money with them all of these years, I didn't build credit score with other banks. If they would allow you to build credit score with them, offer some type of credit card option or give out small loans, they would be the best. I had previous bad experience with a rival company and wise has been amazing: the other company was not good with security features but wise has been so easy to use and fast to set up Pros I love this app ! I transfer my money here immediately after I'm paid and I know my money is secure and stays at same amount. I first downloaded it when I visited London and I wanted to convert my money into pounds. I was able to convert some of my wise balance into pounds which was better than paying in euro so I knew the exact amount. It kept record of my transactions and helped me see what I spent Cons I wished I could have lodged money directly onto the wise account: maybe that's possible if I got the physical card but for now I just have the digital one . My email trail is an indictment upon the way they run their business. Pros The website looked OK and reviews seemed OK and when I went to the Website (for the 1st time) the Rate was OK BUT .......... Cons A simple cash transfer request turned into 34 swapped emails all of which are clear evidence as to Wise being inept, unprofessional and discourteous. One of the worst experiences I can recall with re-request after re-request for data already provided, and then THEY made errors thinking my name was my Banks Name and then THEY cancelled my transaction (probably out of shame given the disgusting disservice they gave me). Never use Wise. It is connected to my own expenses management platform, which makes it really easy to track expenses. Pros It's easy to use, has good fees for currency exchange and it is a well known platform, which means that a lot of colleagues also use it. Also the API makes it easy to connect to other services. Cons Sometimes the UI bothers me with unecessary stuff that I'll never use. It would be better if it was a little cleaner. Had to keep repeating the steps the first few transfers and then asking that I pay directly from the bank as a bill payment option. This worked the first time after which they started asking for more banking information and wanting to log into the bank through their portal which I found uncomfortable. Last transfer went into a loop with Wise stating they have refunded the funds back to me which I did not get. After all the hassle for over two weeks, I logged in to see what's with the funds and they have a notice there saying they have refunded the funds yet again! This issue is still going on with no idea where the funds are, hopefully not another few weeks before I see them in my bank. Pros Nothing really. It was a very difficult means of transfer. Cons Well, even though it does provide user's with several feasile option to transfer money from/to other platforms, some of the service fees ale way too expensive. February 11, 2026 4.0 I wanted to use Revolut in Spain but the registration process was super clunky and I really needed to pay a friend some money. Wise came through and solved this issue. Such a life saver! Pros How easy their credit card payments were to adapt in comparison to Revolut and its payment processing that was easier to do as a traveller for my money transfers between friends. I also want to highlight the secure payments because I have been receiving freelance job pays in a secure and fast way. Cons Certain rates are unclear and I may not be too sure if I got the cheapest rate which caused me security issues but it's an ideal option and a great software that helps my value for money when I need to transfer money. Cons That they don´t issue cards, physical or digital for all the users. That they don´t open multi-currency accounts for people from many south american countries. Their rationale was that, in their opinion, Zaporizhzhia is under sanctions. However, this is inaccurate. While the Zaporizhzhia oblast is partially occupied and the occupied areas are under sanctions, the city of Zaporizhzhia remains under governmental control. They have conflated these distinct situations. Despite providing them with numerous resources to clarify this, they have not reviewed them and now intend to restrict my account. This demonstrates a significant level of incompetence in the current political and legal situation. Pros Fast transactions with other Wise account holders Cons 1\. No customer care. 2. Transferwise, now Wise.com, was essential to receive payments quickly and make transfers to my UK bank account cheaply. I recommended to all my colleagues in the same situation. Pros Wise provides rapid and low-cost transfers of money in many currencies. It also gives you an official unique bank account in major currencies, for example, a bank account in New York for USD, London for GBP and Germany (Munich?) for Euros. This made receiving payments very quick and easy for me to receive and for the customer to pay me. Cons The interface is clunky and hard to navigate. Compared to rivals such as Revolut, it has a more complicated UX yet has less features. Adding a personal and business account increases this challenge. Pros Cost is the most common reason for choosing Wise over other payment platforms. Its fees are lower than any of the popular choices. Wise also has the trust reputation and fast transactions needed by any business receiving and sending funds. You really reap the benefits of the Wise network when you send or receive money across borders. This is where they excel. The fees are typically lower than 1% at times, and the funds are available in minutes. Cons They require a "deposit" transaction so they verify the account. Aside from asking for national IDs, they need you to put money into your Wise account to trigger verification. Granted, this is only for signing up. If you are just receiving funds, you do not need a Wise account. You just need to send your bank account info to the Wise account user. Review Source KM Karel M.
