November 26, 2021 4.0 Pros TextPad is very lightweight, and it also supports code highlighting for many programming languages. I mostly use it to view HTML & Javascript code, but its true value is in its macro support. You can easily create automatic scripts to alter your files and save them for later use. Cons GUI of this software looks old and needs modern UI. Also, if we compare it with its alternatives like Notepad++ in the market, then features are lesser than others. Pros I am able to open multiple files of varying types at one for comparison, also, I can save "Workspaces" that allows me to re-open all the same files at a later time. Excellent, easy to use product that did not cost much to license. Cons I have not found anything to not like about TextPad. Pros You can easily use this software, however it offers less feature than its competitors. Cons TextPad is old fashion, old dashboard editor that you can use in the past. Sometimes I use TextPad for comparing two files, also I am able to find and replace a particular word in a file without much efforts. Thankyou TextPad!! Best Editor tool.... Pros The best thing that I personally liked about TextPad is it's feasible to open very large sized files (gb) using TextPad. It provides more features than notepad and notepad++ We can easily do coding in any language (HTML, XML, JSON,YML) and it highlights the code which I like the most. Cons Only the thing which I don't like about TextPad is it's appearance, I like to work in dark mode on daily basis, so if TextPad can provide me dark mode feature than it would be great. Pros TextPad is a free application; TextPad can handles the huge data set effortlessly. TextPad comes handy when handling the regular expression and hex code in the huge data set. Muchas veces manejo grandes extensiones de texto .csv y convertirlos a sentencias de SQL y me dijeron que este programa funcionaba muy bien, pero al trabajarlo vi que no valía la pena hacer tanto esfuerzo cuando podía usar programas nativos de Mac OS Cons El que solo exista versión para Windows, además que el interfaz no es muy intuitivo y se ve bastante anticuado, creo que podrían trabajar mucho mas en la experiencia de usuario de este programa. It's worthy mid-range competition for NotePad++, when you're looking for something on the lighter side. Pros TextPad is another text editor that falls somewhere in the mid-weight range. It'd a definite step up for NotePad, and works well for basic script writing. I really like the simple things that it does, like keeps your indentations when coding, and allowing multiple tabs. Cons Though simplicity is its strength, TextPad does leave much to be desired. There are few bells and whistles and anything more than basic script writing is hard to do. This tool is nothing like and IDE, which is more appropriate for development, but gets the job done for quick script drafting, without headache.
