### "Financial software -fairly solid"

There is the benefit of reversing charges, refunding and taking CC info on the fly if changes are needed with customers. I am not in the financial dept, but my company does expect me to know this so I can assist at times .

Pros

Kind of on the fence a bit with this, but it does get the job done. Used it at my prior company, as well as here at my current company when I have those pesky customers that accidentally get directed to my department and demand refunds . Hahaha...I do like being able to quickly review their financial info and make changes as needed to their accounts.

Cons

I truly dislike the interface and sometimes trying to determine how to perform certain functions. Not very user friendly at first, and takes a while to figure out, but once you do it's solid enough to get the job done, I guess?

### "It Does the Job"

Sedona Office allows us to offer billing services on behalf of our dealers in addition to allowing us to charge our dealers for our services. Overall, I would suggest Sedona Office to others, especially if you are also using Manitou for alarm monitoring.

Pros

We use Sedona Office predominately for accounts receivable. We also use the payable side, however, we do not use the Inventory or Job Management portions. This software is fairly simple to navigate; it's not very difficult to learn or to train others on how to use it. Another benefit is that it is fully integrated with Bold's Manitou, our automation provider/software. The integration is an asset as it pushes information between the platforms; this assists us with ensuring (in most cases) a single point of entry on our part to ensure both monitoring/billing records are accurate & parallel. There is a query builder available that allows you to build reports pulling specific data without having to access or have knowledge of SQL or similar services. They also offer some useful "canned" reports in addition to the query builder.

Cons

The canned reports, query builder & invoice formats could use a bit of updating and more options or allowances made for ensuring we can pull the data/items we need from the system. I'd also like it to allow an accurate export into Excel without putting the headers/footers onto the document as if the word doc was laid directly over a spreadsheet; it takes away from the purpose of sorting/ordering the info in Excel when the fields are not lining up or allow for the program to work as designed. When we on boarded, several key features weren't explained as they should have been to allow for us to have more functionality and ability to report on certain information from implementation. I will also say that contacting them for support leaves MUCH to be desired; it has gotten a bit better since Bold acquired Sedona, but is still very much a work in progress, in my opinion at least.

Reason for choosing SedonaOffice

We ultimately chose Sedona due to the benefits the integration with Manitou offered. It provided an efficiency that was more desirable to us than to try to utilize a different software and the effort/expense it would take to get it integrated into or working in conjunction with Manitou.

### "Promises Promises"

When recommending Sedona I used to describe it as the "Best of the Worst" as our industry had no better integrated solution. Now, I don't recommend Sedona, and talk quite often to companies that I did recommend Sedona too. Everybody is just as upset.

Pros

Sedona Office provides a single source solution to integrate all aspects of our company's operations. This includes customer and job setup with job costing, accounting, recurring invoicing, and service.

Cons

Although this product offers all of the modules needed to manage front to back operations of our business, each feature offered is outclassed by even basic industry competitors in that particular field. For example, the reporting functionality even in Quickbooks is many times better than in Sedona. In Sedona, if you want good reporting you have to purchase a third party solution and spend many thousands of dollars per year. Even the other company's owned by Sedona's parent company EverCommerce have far more intuitive features than Sedona. Some of my pet peeves include: • No internal way to customize reports • No refresh on reports, you have to fully re-run • In general reporting is awful. • No memorized transactions • No direct integration with a reasonable payroll app • No mapping of open tickets on an intuitive map with filters • No integration (that works) with 3rd party GPS companies • Integration with STAGES still does not work • Support can take days or weeks

### "Amazing Software"

Our overall experience has been amazing, we are very happy with our decision to implement SedonaOffice.

Pros

SedonaOffice is a complete program, we went from using about 4 different software programs to one which makes life a lot easier on a daily basis. All of the information that we need is in one place. The program is easy to use and has multiple modules for all of our Service, Install and accounting needs.

Cons

The only issue that we have run into is the slow support response, this has just recently become an issue, in the past it was always addressed immediately, now you have to wait to get support after submitting a ticket, one of our tickets took over a month with no response, again this has never been an issue in the past hoping it is just a temporary problem.

### "Sedona Review"

We run our accounting and inventory operations with Sedona and the WeSuite for order entry. The online help is spotty, but once you get through to support they are ok.

Pros

Very intuitive and matches our business well. I like the deferred revenue features.

Cons

The reporting is poor. Maintains headers when downloading to excel which results in massive sorts to reformat. Needs more flexibility in historical financial income statement comparisons, like netsuite. need to be able to get trial balance detail for single or selected accounts.

Pros

Purchased in its infancy we have been with SedonaOffice for nearly 20 years and have not found a software that can touch all of the areas that this software does. The efficiencies that are built in serve the alarm installer and service industry very well.

Cons

New updates like any software can be a challenge.

Pros

This is a very adaptive, industry specific software that enhances any security company. From finance, to payables, service to jobs, supply chain to document management, Sedona does it all well. A must for almost any size electronic security company. With the addition of Sedona Sync, the system is turbo charged off the scale!

Cons

The software does not have a CRM module. Development of this module or partnering with a CRM provider is needed.
