I can now get rid of Loom and Awesome Screenshot and just use Nimbus Capture. All my screen captures and screen recordings can be saved to my Nimbus Note, desktop, or any other cloud storage service. I highly recommend giving this extension a try. Pros At first, I was skeptical to use it but after giving it a try, I was so impressed. It's a great alternative for Loom. There's no limit on how long the video recording is. That will be very useful when making long presentations. No need to worry about running out of time. Also, you can use annotations, which is not present on Loom. You can use it to make your video presentation more interesting and easy to understand. Again, this is not available on Loom. I've been using the default screenshot function on my Mac but after trying Nimbus Capture, I think I now have a new favorite. I really like the Select & Scroll feature because it's very useful when trying to get a screenshot of a vertically long website. Trust me, you'll gonna need that feature someday. I can now disable 2 extensions on my Chrome and just use Nimbus Capture. This will be my new favorite extension. Cons I don't see any issues so far. Though I suggest they add an on-screen timer when it is activated. You have to count in your head in order to know when the recording has started. Adding the on-screen timer will fix this. Also, I'll remove Awesome Screenshot because this app works well too and there's an option to upload the screen capture to my Nimbus Note account. January 9, 2022 5.0 I am a quadriplegic that is unable to use my hands for typing, so I always catch myself looking for the newest greatest thing on the market. However, I have had Nimbus Capture for over a year and have never looked for another product to replace it because all will fail in comparison. The tool is extremely customizable, not just for how I use the tool every day (my default configuration) but also for the specific one-off type screen captures/screen recording tasks that come up. I have the premium version, and with all of the features that it offers I would have needed to purchase 10 other programs just to get the functionality of this one. as a law student, every second of my day is planned out and time is my most valuable asset. I could go on and on about the amount of time Nimbus Captures saves me on a daily basis, but it is amazing to me how much more productive I am because of it. I normally don't take the time to write positive reviews, but I felt a sense of obligation to let people in search of a screen capture tool know how amazing Nimbus Capture is! Pros It is extremely easy to use. The flexibility to use it for screen captures of the Internet as well as any open application on my laptop is 2nd to none. I just wish Capterra made dictation software; been my life would be complete. The Annotation tools are remarkable and I use them daily. And the ability to customize the tool to mirror how I use it most is priceless. Cons I wish I could choose a different default Annotation tool other than the arrow. I would set the default to crop because I use that more than any other Annotation tool. Also, once I annotate a screen capture and hit done, I wish it would automatically save a copy of it to my Google Drive and still give it the option to save it anywhere else as well. We purchased the plugin for a one-time use but the annual subscription was renewed without any notice or receipt for the renewal charge. There is also no clear link or setting in the app to cancel the subscription. Email responses from their support team were apathetic and I had to follow-up to get a response. We will never purchase Nimbus products again. This is the only tool I have tried that has the flexibility and ease of use. I miss it dearly when it has a headache, which maybe once a year. Pros I mainly use screen capture which has several options to use in itself. No other software does what Nimbus does that I can find. Simple, fast, and functional. I use this constantly during the day. Cons There are times when computer software is upgraded when one or two functions quit working. For example, the scroll and select doesn't work. I (and I assume many others) send a note to Nimbus. I find that it works as soon as the next day. October 27, 2021 4.0 With Nimbus Clipper, you can take screenshots and video recordings. it has annotation and editing features. you can capture the entire page and annotate it and save it. you can upload your videos to the notes and share them with your team or friends. I personally use nimbus capture for most of my work and it does it best. I would definitely recommend it to try! Pros It has a variety of screenshot mode options like fragments, selected area, visible part of an image, etc.. you can add a watermark to your videos while recording. you can send the screenshots and video recording to google drive, dropbox, nimbus, etc.. after the capture. Cons So, far I loved it but It doesn't have an option to copy the image and paste it anywhere rather than pasting the link. It is developing every day and I hope to see this option soon too.
