August 7, 2025 4.0 After several years using this as a recipient and a group administrator, it is a useful tool for groups 10-100. I have never used it on a group over 100, but all the functions have served us well for this size. Usually we send messages 1-3 times a week. Pros It is easy to establish groups to connect many users quickly. We can easily add new administrators to the group. Cons Difficulty to remove old administrators when they are no longer active. Limited characters for quick notes. Users must download the app to respond to messages. Pros The ability to create different groups to send out mass texts to. Cons The fact that they did away with SMS messaging. Pros Not much at all, actually. This software is intended for simpletons like elementary teachers and children, and probably still misses the mark on that demograph. Cons Can not easily make changes to base account settings or even close account without an act of congress. The base software comes with no features really, and any feature will cost you thousands per year. Ultimately, my instructors and ADULT students were not impressed. Review Source ER Emily R. I was saddened that it took them forever to reply back with customer service, but it is what it is. Pros Remind was easy to understand and work with. It was fast, efficient, and easily accessible to others on all phone platforms. It worked for my company for quite awhile until it changed its SMS function. It was free, which was great at the time. Cons Remind changed several months ago when it agreed that they will no longer do SMS texting on their platform. Our subscribers and audience rely on texting when getting their information. Half of are clients are older than 60 so they do not want an app to communicate. We need it simple. The worse is their customer service. I asked for help months ago as well as information and did not get a reply until 3 in half months later. Now I am getting multiple messages when it is already too late because we work with a different company. Review Source AT Angie T. I would recommend the product but I do think there a few things that would make it a better product. Pros The ability to stay in contact with school families without providing them personal contact numbers. Cons I wish it was clearer to tell who messages were going to and coming from. It is hard to tell sometimes who all received a message. It's not as informal as a text, but an easy way to communicate with a lot of people at one time. I also like Remind for my kids - as it is a good way for them to communicate with teachers. I had to set them up under me, so I am always able to see their communication quickly and easily. Pros Ease of use. Easy to set up groups, easy to send texts and information. My second favorite thing about the app is that you can download and print conversations very easily. Cons I've not had any problems with the software and I have been using it for years. Teachers can easily communicate without giving out personal numbers. Remind listens to development suggestions from users and implements them. Pros Remind makes it easy to schedules messages, send reminders, and communicate with students and parents. I like that you can send reminders to an entire group or individual messages. April 29, 2022 5.0 Overall, I like the Remind app. The messages are quick and a notification appears on your phone. It is also connected to your email. I have never had technical issues while using it. I am satisfied with the ease of use and the quality of the app. I also like how the new app now has an upper case R. Pros Remind is very easy to install and use. It is an essential app for communication. It is easy to send messages and photos. The receiver can respond with text or emojis. A group announcement can also be made. A group as many as 28 people can be added. There are many ways to add a person. There are options to add people, share a link or show people how to join. Students love it, parents love it, and everyone seems happy with all of the things that it offers. Pros As a teacher, communicating with parents and reminding students of information is critical. Remind allows this communication to be secure without exchanging phone numbers. I love how I can schedule messages in advance, and even send a picture, or a video if needed. I like how parents can sign up as a parent so when you send a messages either you can pick parents or students, and I also like how there is an individual messaging option for a student to reach out to their teacher individually. I also like how there are “office hours “you can set so it will tell the student that it is outside of your office hours if they try to contact you at an appropriate time. Cons I wish that the word maximum was larger. Right now it is very low, and I have found myself either making a video, or typing out my comment in a note or a message and screenshotting it and sending that instead. I also wish there was a way for group messages to show who has read the message. The individual messaging section does have this, but it would be very helpful if it was in the group section as well. It has made communication with student so easy and helpful. It has also made sending and receiving documents and videos an ease. Pros Remind has been the best product to appear for teachers. It allows me to communicate with my students at any time with out giving them my personal information. I can send out reminders about test and quizzes, or communicate with individual students who need to come make up work. I also use Remind to send out instructional videos when doing a flipped classroom or when we are virtual. I can send out any document in a pdf format to instruct, review or for general information. It makes communication with students easier that using email. I can set it up to get instant notifications to my phone or computer. Cons My only complaint with this software is that once a phone number is set up, it is very hard to change the information attached to that number. Review Source NW NEAL W. Pros I like the communication it provides between teachers and parents. I didn't have any trouble communicating with my child's preschool teacher and group communications were good as well. Then able to message all or specific groups. Also able to attach some documents in messages. Cons There is a character limit, which can be a pain at times. Learned to just type up a document, convert to a PDF, then share the file to get around the character limit. Also find issue adding another teacher to groups so they can also message groups. Definately a faster way of communicating instead of waiting for a teacher meeting. Pros What I like the most about this software is how easy it is for teachers to communicate with students. With one phrase to the whole class, students are more likely to finish their assignments. After all, that is the point of the application. It is great! Cons What I like the least about the software is the organization. I believe the classes/courses should be easier to join.
