### "Instinct is so user friendly and efficient"

April 30, 2024

5.0

Pros

I love being able to contact the team about any concerns we have. They are so fast in their response. I love being able to put notes on my treatments. It's much better than just checking a box.

Cons

It is super easy to go back and change things so that may be difficult to control if you have untrustworthy people working with you. Not a problem at our clinic but, it's something to keep in mind if you don't trust your team.

Corporate had us make the switch. I've gone back and worked at other clinics that still use SmartFlow and I much prefer Instinct!

### "Excellent Product"

April 27, 2024

5.0

Excellent. No regrets. Makes management of inpatients so much easier.

Pros

Instinct is intuitive and easy to use. It manages every aspect of a hospitlized patients treatment process excellently. They also have great support services for when things aren't working the way it is suppose to.

Cons

I love the whole whiteboard platform and have very few things bad to say about it. I do find it unfortunate that they made the records management plateform and inventory managment plateform so expensive.

### "Overall great, has a few kinks to work out. "

April 29, 2024

5.0

Pros

I enjoy that I can find everything that I need with ease the majority of the time. There are very clear ways to do tasks vs having multiple ways to do them. Keeping up with communication is easy and concise so long as everything is documented appropriately.

Cons

There are some features that could be a bit better. For example, I think that the texting/ client chat feature is great, but when a client responds we have no way of knowing since it does not notify you. 2nd is a new change, I do not like that you cannot "pin" or "upload" a document to stay that the TOP of the chart of the reminded of the pet's record. Things such as client/patient registration sheets are vital to the clinic, and we now have to go hunting for them in the record. I have already put in a feature/ticket request to have this done.

### "Great program"

April 29, 2024

5.0

Pros

Great program that allows full availability in means of treatment sheets and ensuring our patients treatments are completed appropriately

Cons

difficulty removing 'old'/removed treatments that are no longer used by the hospital. They are still listed in the pull down menu which can make it difficult to ensure we are picking the appropriate one

### "Instinct is the BEST Veterinary Software!"

April 28, 2024

5.0

I have worked in the veterinary industry for almost 20 years and used a variety of programs. Instinct is BY FAR the best software I've ever used.

Pros

So easy to use and intuitive!

Cons

Can't think of anything.

### "Instinct Experiences"

April 30, 2024

4.0

Pros

I like how easy it is to use Instinct. Before, we were a paper based treatment sheet hospital. Going back to paper would be a huge hassle for us. I like how you can see who made changes to treatments and the dosing calculator.

Cons

Sometimes when only using treatment view you cannot see when things are PRN. You have to go into the patients chart to see items that are PRN. Also, it is a pain when switching to OM in instinct. You have to delete the previous order and start new with OM. There should be a button to click when it is OM instead of a whole new line item.

### "Overall, very organized and efficient"

April 26, 2024

5.0

Pros

Instinct offers an organized grid layout for treatment sheets allowing for easy viewing and easy to monitor values for hospitalized patients. My hospital does not use all functions of Instinct but the portions that we do use function very well with minimal errors.

Cons

When a patient is accidentally checked out, once they are checked back in, a separate Instinct sheet is opened for them. Even though you can re-open the original sheet, it creates another sheet which can generate confusion. So far that has been the only minor drawback that I have experienced.

### "Keeping Up to Date w/ Instinct "

May 4, 2024

4.0

Pros

I like being able to download the Tx sheet and upload it to Avimark for quick and ready treatment notes instead of having to understand ineligible handwriting from manual treatment sheets

Cons

It can be a bit tedious to fill out everything especially when there are many in-hospitals and you can find yourself spending up to 8-10 mins per patient if not more depending on what the Instincts asks to check for.

### "Amazing electronic medical record"

April 27, 2024

5.0

Pros

I love that there are so many options to record notes and changes to the patient in the medical record. it is easy to see form a glance what treatments are due and how the patient has been doing.

Cons

Sometimes changes that we want to make take a bit to implement, but that may be a function of our the extra time of our administration team

### "New user of Instinct"

April 26, 2024

5.0

I started at a new practice that used Instinct, and was initially a bit overwhelmed as I had been with my previous practice for many years and was very familiar with their software. After a bit of a learning curve, I have grown to really like Instinct! There is a voluminous amount of well-written training material online published by Instinct, which is very helpful. There are also many training videos.

Pros

\- Able to copy and paste from all fields - Ease of use for filtering options for outpatient board and schedule - Ease of use for scheduling and completing task list - Ease of switching between different functions - Able to have multiple panes open

Cons

\- Not able to have more than 3 panes visible... however, you can open multiple instances of Instinct, which it tells you in the trainings. I use multiple monitors to do this!

### "Great program"

April 30, 2024

We love Instinct's patient care software and hope to transition to full EMR if our corporate group (Pet Vet) will approve.

Pros

Very user friendly. I appreciate the responsiveness of customer service and frequent updating to help address any problems encountered. Safety features are hugely helpful to reduce medical errors. Plumb link is great.

Cons

No specific complaints. They are always willing to work to correct any challenges we find.

Reason for choosing Instinct Science

Much more user friendly and modernized. Built in safety features. Cloud accessible.

### "I highly recommend Instinct"

October 9, 2023

5.0

Pros

The support from friendly and prompt representatives, and their openness to adding features based on recommendations. Integration was easy and our staff picked everything up without any problems. The support center at careville.instinct.com is an excellent resource.

Cons

Integration with our diagnostic equipment and Cubex has been slow, but Instinct is still far superior to other PIMS I have used.
