January 31, 2023 5.0 Pros Instinct is super user friendly and makes planning out treatment plans super easy. It allows for better communication between doctors and technicians for what is needed for patients that are hospitalized and even for out patient things as well! Treatments are easy to set up, customize and plan. I love that it calculates drug dosages and has set safety ranges. I feel like this software really brings the veterinary world up to par with human hospital standards. It should be considered standard of care in a 24 hour hospital setting! Cons There is nothing I would change. We switched from hand written, paper ICU charts to Instinct and I have been blown away. This software makes my job so much more efficient and my work day so much easier! We wanted to address how you can void charges--this is something that can be done in Instinct under the Invoice tab. You can select the 3 dot menu next to the line item you would like to void and then select “Void”. You can also use the bulk edit option at the bottom of the invoice screen to bulk edit (void) multiple line items at once. If you are currently unable to see the void option, it may be that your permissions are not set for this. This can be altered by one of your hospital admins. It looks like it was made to use this century, and many of the features and options are intuitive. Updates are excellent and fast when needed, issues get solved rapidly, and support staff (though I haven't had to use them myself yet) are incredible (from what I hear from my colleagues). Cons I really haven't had that many issues with it. I think the comm logs could be easier to open and use but I'm not sure if that's a me/user specific issue or a software issue. I wish we utilized all available options (electronic medical records) rather than try to integrate Instinct with another, older product. Pros Very easy to use, minimal learning curve. Cons Sometimes after spending several minutes working on a project you lose it or have to start from scratch for one reason or another.
