They have templates or you can go from scratch. Pros This software is very user friendly. I do not have any previous graphic design experience. I started out with the free version, it was great. Whenever I want to build a digital print, this is my go-to software. Cons I wish Lucidpress integrated more with Lucidchart. It is difficult to bring shapes and images from one to the other. I did a lot of research before I selected Lucid Press. The best decision I made. Could not be happier with the final book. I can not recommend Lucid Press enough. Pros It was easy to use. I layout my documents in Adobe iIn Design and I was able to upload the document it looked exactly the way I had layer it. Outstanding product & easy intuitive software. Cons Nothing. It is much better than using Microsoft Word to create posters or other publications as this allow you to put boxes where you want without auto adjusting. Cons I would like to be able to create text paths. I would like to be able to tell lucidpress to not put text over a picture in the corner but to flow around it with out shaping it myself. Pros LucidPress is very simple to use and can create some nice designs, especially with some very useful templates. I have no prior experience with this type of product and was able to learn this system with its user friendly tutorials and easy to navigate help sections. You can make beautiful, professional looking products which are sure to impress. Cons What I would like to be able to do, is upload word files into the system to create slides and publications. At this stage, I have to cut and paste all text, page by page. It sure would be helpful (and a huge timesaver) if I could simply upload the entire file, and then play around with formatting page layout later. I can create any layout I want with a variety of font options. Cons They used to offer more storage space for images, etc., but now want you to upgrade to the paid version once you use up the more limited storage. I don't have a problem paying a little for the program, but the jump from the free program to the paid version is really drastic when all I need is a little more storage. Pros The best part is the ability to share and collaborate on layouts. It makes delegating tasks easier and takes the workload off of one person. Cons After a few months of using Lucidpress, a particular function stopped working like it once did and requires tedious maneuvering to work now. We are now faster and we can allow other staff outside of the design staff to create their own materials. Pros Web based workflow and the comment option helps our staff create and approve designs much faster than the Adobe workflow we normally use. Pros Lucidpress is relatively easy to use and provides a nice option for much more robust and costly applications. Great for a small business that needs to put something together quickly. Cons Would like to see a more robust library of symbols and icons that can be easily added. I find I'm going to the web too much to find simple symbols that would typically be in an application library.
