Pros
My overall experience has been very good especially as mentioned for web based this is one of the best tool we have used.
In selenium IDE the most good thing I like is recording the projects.
As I use selenium IDE more times a day for an automation purpose, its great feel to integrating with other tools like jenkins.
Overall experience has been amazing with Selenium IDE. Have integrated this with Java.
Cons
If you use the open source there are limited options.
There are some simple tasks are quite complicated to do in selenium due to lack of some keywords.
Error processing could be more verbose. And be more descriptive (re: specific abend codes, error reasons).
On few Java applet, selenium IDE doesn't work well. In that scenario, image based automation needs to be done.

"Selenium IDE - Web Automation"
Overall: Overall experience has been amazing with Selenium IDE. Have integrated this with Java, .Net and Python. Have automated many applications on Internet explorer and Chrome.
Pros: Ease of integration with Python, .Net etc. Very robust with respect to web automation.
Cons: On few Java applet, selenium IDE doesn't work well. In that scenario, image based automation needs to be done.
"Selenium IDE: The Automation tool for web based application"
Overall: My overall experience has been very good especially as mentioned for web based this is one of the best tool we have used.
Pros: It is open source The library is extensive and very useful Best tool when it comes to web automation tool The graphics is very nice and useful
Cons: One of the challenge most manual tester faces is the lack of knowledge of basic java.
"Good but needs effor"
Pros: It has vast features and good community around the globe.
Cons: It doesn't have great user experience and user interface.
"Reviews on Selenium IDE"
Overall: Automated test cases for the beginners
Pros: Selenium IDE is a very simple and easy tool to use, it can be used by anyone with minimal understanding of testing and does not require coding. It has a record and playback functionality, and also ease to debug for any issue in your test cases. Also you can convert the record and playback test case to selenium webdriver if needed.
Cons: Selenium IDE is not too reliable when it comes to executing a test case. A simple test case may also fail without making any changes to the same test case which was successfully passed earlier.
"Selenium IDE"
Overall: I got best experience to fill web form, data assertion, data driven testing
Pros: Easy recording, easy play test suite, best for small scenario with rapid automation
Cons: Web data table extraction not available, data of graph in java script handling is to comple.
"Selenium a lightweight testing tool"
Overall: We have been using selenium for some of our workload testing but not in maximum capacity. Nowadays there are better options available than selenium IDE. But since its an open source I recommend this for less complex web apps.
Pros: 1. Open source. 2. Good options for debugging. 3. Recording capabilities and automation based on recorded session. 4. Allows command execution on browser. Easy to deploy and easy to use.
Cons: 1. Dynamic content is not supported. 2. Reporting is not available. 3. Some browsers are not supported. 4. Not able to handle complex web pages features such as tabs.
"Selenium"
Overall: Excellent product that could be expanded to include URL endpoint determination
Pros: Easy to use and aids debugging in most applications but could use more descriptive error verbiage and nomenclature
Cons: Error processing could be more verbose and be more descriptive (re: specific abend codes, error reasons)
"Good for manual and automated testing"
Overall: It's very solid, if you spend the time to create and configure tests correctly, you've got a pretty solid automated testing tool. Using the addon you don't need a lot of tech skills to set it up for basic use, but there's a learning curve if you want to go advanced.
Pros: I used mainly the addon in Firefox to record test scenarios for a website. It's a bit of a learning curve but you get there. Works mostly as a macro recorder, but you can always edit the recorded steps to add more info. You can also set the tests to run automatically and see when there's a problem.
Cons: For a free tool is great, but I feel there's a learning curve to it to get the most of what it offers. There are a lot of other online services now that can be configured to run tests, though not free.
"One of the best for Web automation "
Pros: Selenium is one of the best tool for Web automation testing it has a support for multiple languages and there are also a variety of plugin available
Cons: There are some simple tasks are quite complicated to do in selenium due to lack of some keywords
"Selenium IDE Review"
Overall: As I use selenium IDE more times a day for an automation purpose, its great feel to integrating with other tools like jenkins.
Pros: In selenium IDE the most good thing I like is recording the projects. In selenium IDE we can record test case easy and fastest way. The integration of selenium with jenkins and other tools for automation is best part. And as Selenium is an open source, it is free of cost. It allows too many programming languages for making automation scripts.
Cons: Selenium is an open source tool, so it we can not expect much more thing. I basically did not like the thing is to coding . Coding in Selenium is comparatively more than its competitive tools.
"Selenium Automation "
Overall: We successfully completed our automation using selenium and it was easy to use and I strongly recommend this product to others
Pros: We had freshers who were not experienced in automation as we switched from manual testing and the team did wonders using selenium.
Cons: If you use the open source there are limited options. The dynamic data handling was bit challenging.
"Great improvements in Selenium IDE "
Overall: Overall I'm very happy with Selenium IDE to automate some of my tasks. It is free and fast.
Pros: I like the speed control to control the speed of test cases something which is missing in other test tools. It is also blazing fast when run locally and shows the failures in test cases in a better way.
Cons: Sometimes the Pause or Resume feature doesn't work as intended and should resume from the step selected. The updates are not that often.
"Selenium"
Overall: Very good for Browser automation
Pros: Can be used with Java, Python and other languages. Easy to automate GUI of web based applications
Cons: Cannot automate things other than browsers
"Best learning to for tester"
Pros: Debugging, problem severity is shown in just an icon is the best part which symbolise severity of error and ultimately make us know how to rectify it easily
Cons: It is still browser dependant only works in chrome and Mozilla, but in my case it didn't work in chrom so ultimately I left with single option
