I've used it in school as well as in the studio and it is such a great program to use for 2D productions. Pros Once you know how to use it, it makes 2D animation so much faster, which is critical in this industry. You can hand draw animation like in the traditional way, but you can also make rigs to animate. Rigs can be tricky to use at first but there is a lot you can do with them and ways to make characters and props look three dimensional and malleable. Cons It was tough to learn - it took me a couple of years to be fully comfortable with it, but it is the same way with any software. Quando o encontrei fiquei maravilhado com as possibilidades que ele forneceu e desde então que nunca procurei por outra alternativa. Pros Para mim é o programa mais complexo e com mais funcionalidades que existe no mercado. Dentro dos programas de animação 2D, o Harmony consegue preencher todas as areas, desde o tradicional "Frame by Frame" até a algo mais complexo como o Rigging. As opções de caneta e pincel são extensas e permite uma variedade enorme de estilos. A versão mais avançada, Harmony Premium, tem o Node View, que permite gerenciar os desenhos, composições e efeitos, permitingo que projectos grandes se tornem muito facil de organizar.O serviço ao cliente também é espantoso, recenbedo respostas às minhas duvidas num prazo de 24 horas. While there are many animation programs that I have not used, Harmony is by far the most versatile program that I have used.I work mainly in 2D Cut-Out animation, but have dabbled in Tradigital animation, FX animation, rigging, and minor compositing as well. All of these and more are possible within the program, which is great for the animation pipeline. The only thing that I would say Harmony is not good for is pixel animation, since it is primarily a vector-based program. Pros The program is extremely versatile, with features for everything from cutout, to tradigital, to game animations. There's a reason it's considered an industry standard for 2D animation. Cons I'm not crazy about Harmony 21 so far. While there have been some additions to the program, there are also a lot of features that I preferred from Harmony 17. For example, scene markers can now be moved by the end of scene marker, and the focus on mouse cursor feature does not work as well in 21. These may seem like minor gripes, but when working professionally, those small issues can build up to a lot of lost time. Dragonframe is for traditional frame by frame animation using photos (ex: claymation). I moved to Tradigital animation on Harmony. We used Adobe After Effects as an animation program because the college liked using the adobe creative suite. It was not very good as an animation program, with Harmony easily outcompeting it.Photoshop animation is the only one that I still use sometimes, specifically for pixel animations. Pros Aparentemente es un muy buen sistema de edición. No se si es el mejor pero es aparentemente bueno. Cons Creo que tiene una curva de aprendizaje muy empinada. La instalación de la versión de prueba me creo errores y luego cuando lo pude solucionar ya se había terminado mis 20 días de prueba. Por lo cual no pude aprender mucho de este software. It has a rich set of brushes, color pallets, effects, and all the tools required to make a commercial animation. Pros Harmony has the best set of brush tools designed for professional artists. It supports cut-out, frame-based, and traditional animation with 3D import capability. It features pencil lines with textures, morphing and deformation tools, physics, and a 3D camera. It contains a wide collection of OpenFX effects that can be applied to quickly develop realistic animations. Harmony can export animation videos in up to 8k resolution. It also offers the Harmony server where team members and studios can collaborate faster. Cons Not suitable for creating interactive animation. A bit expensive, slow, and not beginner-friendly.
