Can do practically anything with notes. Cons Doesn't appear in right click menu from other apps - but as they regularly add new features, perhaps this will come soon. WorkFlowy just remains true to its original intention, while regularly adding more flexibility. When I had the luxury of keeping a private calendar, that was in WorkFlowy too. I suspect I could do even more with WorkFlowy but I haven't felt the need. Every now and then, I am romanced into trying out one of the other notekeeping platforms but I always come back to WorkFlowy, it's so clean and focused, it can't be topped. Pros The minimalism was the immediate draw to WorkFlowy and key to why I will never leave. WorkFlowy has many powerful features and customizations plus many more available if you are willing to use CSS but the best part of WorkFlowy is if you are not using a feature, it is invisible never to clutter your screen or choices until you ask for it. The highly interconnected and flexible nature of WorkFlowy makes it endlessly customizable. I doubt any two people use WorkFlowy the same way. Cons I would love to be able to embed a live table or graph which isn't currently possible. I don't know how I would function without it. My entire life is in Workflowy. You could probably rebuild a new me using my outline as input. Pros It thinks like I think. I can write, organize, and plan everything from book writing to shopping lists to archiving. Cons There's almost nothing that I dislike. I have also demonstrated WorkFlowy in trainings for faculty at my school and help spread the word about it. Pros I like the way that WorkFlowy allows me to organize my information. I can start with a few very high-level categories and break each down into as many levels of sub-categories as I want. This is very useful for accessing feedback and comments about specific assignments when I oversee a number of courses that have multiple assignments of multiple types. Cons One minor point about WorkFlowy that could be improved, at least on the Mac platform, is that I cannot drag text into workflow to create a new bullet item, I can only copy and paste. This may cause me to lose a needed item at the top of the Clipboard History. It's really only a minor inconvenience though. I was looking for an easy to use program that was an electronic to-do list. We were also looking for one to use company-wise, but wanted additional features to not only keep our employees on track but to hold them accountable. While we use a different program for the company, I use WorkFlowy for my tasks and to-do lists. I've used it for about the last month Pros \- Basic and easy to use.- I love how all tasks are endlessly collapsable. Helps keep track of the smaller parts of larger tasks, ensuring that all parts are completed.- Three options on how tasks are displayed and two different ways to mark a task as completed. - No limit to the number of tasks. Cons \- No visual element. I like using different font colors or simple graphics to keep to exciting and engaging. - Few features beyond a to-do list. Good but limited. - No collaboration options. Reasons for choosing WorkFlowy It's free and a basic to-do list. I didn't need to waste time setting it up and was able to figure it out as I made my first few lists. Pros What attracted me to workflowy was the nested options; eg that I can organize all the parts of a project within a project without having to see them all at the same time. I also liked that I can mirror projects so I don't forget about things. The ability to use hashtags/labels has also been SO HELPFUL. Cons I wish workflowy provided more video options for learning how to use the product. For example, I know people write books in workflowy and I tried to figure out how from a PDF that was provided and I still don't understand.
