Pros: ProCare's versatility is extremely impressive. We use this application for students and staff alike as our sign in station and communication tool. This helps us track student and staff attendance down the day and minute which is invaluable to grant reporting, payroll and tuition reimbursements.

ProCare also has many useful faucets for early childhood organizations, such as behavior tracking, immunization records, emergency contacts and other pertinent information. As a Director that is responsible for all billing, income collection, and taxes, one of the most useful and irreplaceable aspects is the Family and Agency Accounting sections as well as Tuition Express. These areas are key to making sure we stay on top of our financial health.

I honestly cannot say how phenomenal this software is. The substantial amounts of report types are endless and extremely helpful in all areas of running and producing a professional preschool and child care facility.

We are also a two site facility and switching to ProCare Cloud has been the best monthly investment.

Cons: Interfacing software with our Website and Facebook Page. We recieve a lot of traffic through these sites and we would love to be able to collect date straight to ProCare through these web resources.

Overall: Daily operations, accounting practices, collecting staff and student information and communication.

Pros: It can keep track of the immunizations. It alerts us when immunizations are going to expire. Tracking and changing classrooms is a breeze.

Cons: We can't put comments on each child or employees. For example, teacher calls out, we don't have a place to keep track of call outs and the same with students, if a parent has a concern, we have to write it down, but prefer to keep track on ProCare. Less steps is always best when it comes to billing and charges, etc. It is a challenge to just delete one sibling when they have moved on to another school and the younger one is still with us. I have had tech support, but still shows up. If I delete the one sibling, it deletes both students on the folder so I end up adding them both back on the hidden folder. I just want to hide the one that moved on.

Pros: It's fluidity. It can grow with us and help us grow. It can be my checks and balances so that I will always be accountable to my staff, my parents and my board. I can organize and create clear reports in ways I wasn't able to do previously. Amazing stuff really.

Cons: Learning it. It's hard to self-navigate. But the training you can get is very good.

Overall: So... I had one little question, right? One little itty bitty - probably could have figured it out by myself - question. But.... it's people's finances, so I called to make sure I didn't screw anything up.

Holy Goodness Gracious. NO.

I solved what I had initially called about - but I still scheduled an additional call with the rep because of how many ???s he answered that I didn't even know I had.

I started with TE and Procare about 6 mos. ago. I simply take parents tuition for a small(ish) preschool. That's it. No big deal. The person who was in this position before me trained me the best she could on the software and she was trained by someone else who really never understood the initial training given to her. Follow all that? Yeah. Exactly.

Enter our rep.

I seriously have sat in front my computer using Tuition Express software every week for 6 mos. I've never fully understood it, never appreciated what it could do and can promise I've never been excited about exploring its further uses.

I've been called by your sales department 3 times to consider Cloud services and MyProcare. Firm no. Every time.

I can tell you that after speaking with our rep - I'll be bringing a proposal to switch to Cloud capabilities soon. Our rep made me feel comfortable with my software abilities, taught me how to use TE better. He taught me about the ins and outs of TE that I wasn't even aware I was missing. (POS, files, individual posting, etc).

Our rep's enthusiasm, his passion toward your product, and his knowledge of the Family Data and Accounting Portal is above and beyond. He was encouraging & really sparked my interest to now speak with Shauna about Ledger & Expense and Employee & Payroll.

Our rep cemented my opinion that my school should stick with TE software. He inspired me to learn more about it. He sold me on the idea of additional portals - and as someone who is supposed to be running a tight ship - that's no easy task. I'm pretty sure I even exclaimed "Hot Damn!" in a church preschool more than once today.

My background is in Sales Management and Customer Service, our rep is a gem of an employee and please be so aware of that. He is a representative for you in every sense of the word. Professional, knowledgeable, fun to talk to and passionate about what he's working with. A++

Pros: Its features. Its one of the very, very few out there that offers advanced accounting/budgeting capabilities

Cons: Security....this software isn't secure. Or if it is, its poorly written documentation does not adequately describe its level of security so that could possibly be assessed.

Overall: I am a project manager in the technology department of a major state university. My primary function is to help our departments purchase software they need to conduct their business while maintaining the integrity of the university's systems. Procare was contacted by one of our departments, at the same time I was attempting to contact them for another department to initiate a demo. The first department had already had a demo and was ready to purchase, but needed to run their request by IT Security for approval. I called the sales rep, 3 times and left 3 messages. I emailed her with a request for them to complete a Higher Education Cloud Vendor Assessment form. This is a security questionnaire mandated for all higher education facilities looking for Cloud solutions. 2 1/2 weeks later, I finally get an email from the sales rep saying that they decline to answer the security questions based on a lack of resources. So, I called the support manager to see if I could arrange a conversation between him and one of our security guys. He asked for a summary of the questions ahead of time, I supplied him with the general topics of the conversation, and he emailed with yet another, poorly defined written document (that we had already read and which did not adequately address our security concerns). So, they're the leader in this space, they obviously don't need our business, and their complete lack of response has me wondering what their customer support is like.

It is our company policy to provide standard security documentation on our products, but to not engage in detailing the product security integration with non-corporate clients as every customer install can be unique based on your installation preferences and operations.

Pros: AR system is excellent. Very user friendly and straight forward. Being a new user without a previous user available to train me found the help to actually be very helpful. Webinars are an excellent tool and the support help desk is remarkable.

AR automatic billing took a couple of tries to get right, but errors made were easily corrected.

Tuition Express auto pay is excellent.

Cons: The system is designed with the non-account in mind. Consequently for an account it is a bit cumbersome. AP has the most room for improvement. Need to be able enter and select for payment on a single check multiple invoices for a vendor with different invoice/due dates. AP also needs to prompt the user if a duplicate invoice number is being entered for the same vendor. AP needs to have the ability to accept a negative invoice and credit memo without having to apply it to an outstanding invoice.

General Journal entries tries to help by selecting the normal debit/credit side which slows me down. Also would like to be able to enter a description for individual entries rather than a single group entry description.

Overall: Have used many different software packages and typically have found the the more user friendly the less functional the software is. Employer was using only the AR portion of the software. The AR is easily understood and does an excellent job to working customer accounts and statements.

Just recently added Expenses & Ledgers and hope to add Payroll in the not too distant future.

Recommendations to other buyers: As wonderful as AR is AP needs improvement. Limitations of AP causes a concern of implementing Payroll. Payroll is much more complex with far more error risk liability exposure. It is only fair to mention the Procare system was setup by another individual with limited accounting knowledge. Numerous errors have been discovered (i.e.; charge/credit descriptions established with incorrect account number). While some of the errors are difficult to find the system is easily corrected.

Pros: Not much! We inherited it from the last school. It's been around forever and for a long time has held the monopoly almost in the daycare industry. Which is changing now!

Cons: It's ridiculously expensive. You have to pay separate amounts for each program and the programs are set up wordy with too many tabs and having to click through so many screens to get where you need to go. The customer service is absolutely lousy. We've used them, on hold for 30 min plus, the service agents can't help, they want us to buy more programs. There are way better services now but daycares are afraid to change and this is a problem because Procare is all they've known and use. I would never recommend it to any fellow daycares! There is so much more available now! We recently changed to Brightwheel and it is amazing! We love it, so much more intuitive and up to date!

Pros: I like the dashboard. I like the ability to have the child and parent photos on the screen. The clock in and out is great.

Cons: I really don't like the reports. I don't like that you have to go in EACH time and say currently enrolled children. There are a lot of really complicated features. I'm really frustrated that when this was set up in August of 2017 the accounting and payroll was not set up properly and we have not been paying our employees overtime for the entire time until today when I KNEW that there were some employees that had overtime. This is a huge issue and I'm not even sure how to go forward from here. Tech support fixed it, but did say that it was not set up properly on their end from the beginning.

Overall: It does make keeping track of the daily issues at our center easy.

As to reports, you may save the settings (such as ┬┐Enrolled┬┐ children) by choosing the ┬┐Save Settings┬┐ button at the bottom of the reports screen. Regarding payroll, when a new position (like ┬┐Teacher┬┐) is created it automatically defaults to paying overtime for that position. The reason you may choose to uncheck the overtime box is for things like sick time, vacation, and jury duty, that would not count toward overtime hours. We apologize for any confusion. Pros: I love Procare's Customer Service! They are so willing to answer questions and help where needed. I appreciate the fact that they are constantly to working to enhance Procare's features which in return benefit us as user.

Cons: The only thing I do not like about Procare is the online waiting list. We have now switched over to MyProcare but there are glitches. They can't put another child on the waiting list if they already have a child enrolled. This makes it hard for expectant mother OR when families can only get one child in at a time. I also don't like how we can't search by DOB. We've had to create personalized questions that allow us to "track" by birth year and it is really hard to do. We need to be able click on an age and have it automatically pull up every child that is that current age. ALSO, once last thing. I HATE that it show children's ages in months. It needs to show it with years and months like on the children's profiles. Stating that a child is 105 months old DOES NOT HELP. :) Other than the waitlist Procare is AMAZING!!!

Pros: We have found the video's to be awesome! The help feature is the Best! The helpfulness and person care from all the support staff is A+ !!! Love Remote Access by the staff!!!

Cons: It's a challenge learning all the new buttons and new reports but at some point it will become second nature. County ledgers did not transfer correctly and had missing data. Thankfully Support has taken it over to work on to see what is the best and simplest solution for our specific situation.

Overall: We have use Procare for 15 years and love it! We do not have all the modules but most of them. We work within Procare 80% of our day. We have recently converted to V10 and are working often with Support to help us with or little challenges.

Recommendations to other buyers: Would love that when notes are being put in for parents that it would automatically enter their name at the beginning of the note. Reason.... When looking in reports at messages it does not say who the message is too and so you don't know what message to look at if a parent comes in asking about their message. It also really needs to be automatically placed into their log with date and time if possible. Right now we copy and paste.

Overall: We have used Procare since 1996 and tried 2 other systems prior to finding out more about Procare through use of their demo. We've upgraded each version which has enhanced services each time. The sales and technical support personnel are very informative, friendly, and accessible. We also use Tuition Express which makes collections a breeze. Additionally, we use the keyless entry system for enhanced security. Procare has kept up with the needs of families and childcare center management by making these additional options.

Recommendations to other buyers: Start with what your immediate needs are and keep reading and playing with other features. Every time you can add another element of the program to your operation, you will save time and money. Do not get overwhelmed with learning and attempting to put every feature at the exact same time. We learn with each new upgrade and attend webinars when we see new ones available. Then, we call and talk or email online support to discuss further. The support team are ALL wonderful!!! Thank you.

Pros: The fingerprinting option for logging in

Cons: Too complicated, hate procare, old version was user friendly, this version you need an IT degreee, too many passwords required (just to send an email asking for tech support quesion!) If you're gonna sell me a product this complicated there should be 24/7 tech support, we should have had a live demo/training session. Look at your form that says tell us a bit more about yourself? Isn't everyone using this product in childcare? You want me to scroll through that list to id my industry?!?!?

Overall: The old procare was so easy and user friendly. The new version is a nightmare, way too complicated. if you forget your password you can't use one you've previously used, you need a password just to place an email back to them, tech support a nighmare to get a hold of or get a straight answer. If i could switch to another company I would!

Pros: Easy to load new students. I like the ability to run more reports in a faster time. I like the break down on printing sign in sheets and roll call sheets. I really like the different choices in statements that you can offer your parents. It is very well priced for the service that you receive. The customer support staff are very helpful and eager to assist you.

Cons: Employee part. I have had new software since July and I still can't put my employees time in like I did with my older version. But no worries I have my old software still working on another computer that I use for employee time sheets. Love Love Love ProCare

Overall: The ability to manage my childcare center as well as my pre-school classes. It really simplifies the record keeping that is required for all state licensed centers and pre-school. You are able to manage the center and bill the parents for weekly tuition.

Pros: There are several things that I love about this program. 1st is the attendance tracking to see total hours of care for each child and 2nd how I can see how many children are in attendance at any given time. 3rd is the tracking for immunizations is so helpful to make sure my children are up to date. 4th is keeping up with tuition fees and how easy it is to see who owes what.

Cons: Occasionally when I am adding a family it won't let them sign in and I have to redo it. Also in the weekly report section I don't like that if someone is out they are not shown on report at all. I would rather see there name and 0 hours than not even show them on the report.

Overall: Makes my work easier and faster!

On most attendance reports, it's true that if a child doesn't attend at all, their name would not be on the report┬┐but there is a report you may find useful. It shows any child who was scheduled, but did not attend. You'll find it under Reports > Standard Reports > Attendance Tracker > Not in Attendance. And, if you're still having symptoms of having to "redo" something so a family can sign in, please give our Tech Support Team a call. They'll help you solve it. Hope that helps!

Pros: email capability to send statements....

Cons: does not provide enough sort capabilities or reports as were in Version 9.

seems complicated and too many steps to get to what you really need to do daily work or make changes.....

still learning the version though, so that is reason for my answers.....

Overall: I had three major questions and the tech was great! He took his time, patience and went into detail to help me take care of three major problems that I have had since converting over to Version 10 in August 2016.

Give him high, high marks for his help this afternoon!

Recommendations to other buyers: yes, please add a sort capability to printing out the statements.....would really benefit those centers who might still hand out printed copies.... I really need a sort by Primary Class!!! At the present time, I have to manually sort by hand thru all 122 statements that can only print in alphabetical order!! I do not send via email as all parents do not have emails (very few) or want to receive their statements via emails. At least, please provide your customers the option to choose a sort if they need one! Also, at the time a payment is posted, there is only the option to print a receipt. Some of my parents would like their receipts sent to them at time of payment via email so they can file with their flex spending accounts at their work right away.

Pros: It has many capabilities and is easy to learn and maneuver.

Cons: The reporting methods. I would like to be able to perform functions to multiple files at the same time, not having to enter each individual to make changes. I would like to be able to print reports from the filtering that I do on screen and print that information. Not have to exit and find and create a report to print what I was just viewing. I would also like to have multiple windows open at the same time. Many times I am in a file, and have to jump out to enter another, or stop the function I am performing to handle something else.

Overall: Josh was a wonderful help to me! He was persistent to return my call several times, even though I was unavailable each time he called. He quickly assessed my needs, and provided the fix that I needed right then! It was something I needed corrected right then, and he took the time to make that happen! I appreciate Josh and his excellent customer support!

Recommendations to other buyers: Solutions to problems need to be offered sooner. A desire to provide excellent customer service and actually doing that are two different things. Procare would be much more user friendly if you provided more multi tasking options.

Pros: I like that the customer support team is so friendly and helpful when I call and have a "dumb" question. They never make me feel like I am dumb! I also like the web support because often I can go on there and get my question answered without calling in!

Cons: We stopped using the time clock because it was too slow. When we have 30 employees clocking in and having to enter 2, 4 -digit codes by the time they were half way through the last half were showing up tardy when they really weren't. We found a system that had one 3 digit code that was much faster.

Pros: This software is so intuitive. It has Everything I need to run my business and be able to spend more time in the classroom instead of on my PC. I love the fact the software is set up to purchase only what you need. There is so much to learn however between the amazing youtube channel and customer service you are never without support as you learn to navigate this software and customize it for your specific needs. One of the customer rep was my initial point of contact answering tons of questions as I decided if the Procare software system was right for my in home group child care needs. It was had everything I was looking for and my clients love the system too, no more clipboards full of sign-in sheets falling all over the floor and needing to be stored for years taking up space. Now i'm growing into a new center and was ready to streamline my tuition processing I looked at what I spend now and it appears I will be actually saving by processing via Tuition Express! I have been working with another customer rep and once again all of my question and concerns were addressed, she supported me through the entire application process. I could not be happier knowing that my data is safe and secure with ProCare.

Pros: Ease of use- I basically played around and learned the software on my own with the use of Procare's video classes. The classes walk you through every step and you can walk along with them using your software at the same time. Customer support is phenominal. They are always at hand and stay with you through the process of handling what ever your question/issue may be. Upgrading is easy as well.

Cons: I wish it was easier to figure out specifically tayloring the way we charge our families to fit the program. For the most part it is in there, but our sytem of charging is unusal .

Pros: I like the product & support but I hate the way the reports are being set. It is obviously set for an owner and his wife!!! You can NOT generate a simple receivables report with this software and there is NO way to generate a day or week report for payments received in a list format as a matter of fact you cannot get a list report in the entire reports menu except an attendance report that shows total hours attended that is it there is no other list report so in most cases it leaves owners clueless on how much money center collected for any period of time. I talked to technical support for an hour before I was told that there is no such report!!!???? I have been with Procare Software for years but unfortunately I see my self parting away in the near future.

Cons: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GENERATE RECEIVABLES REPORTS WITH THIS SOFTWARE

Recommendations to other buyers: This is a complex software that take education to customize to your needs & if you are not the one taking a payment good luck finding a simple receivables report in this software.

Edward - We're sorry this review from nearly 2 years ago was just released by the site as knowing would have given us a chance to follow up with you in a timely manner. There are a number of reports that show accounts receivables-some show outstanding AR, while others show the change in AR over a period of time. There is also a Data Viewer which can be used to create list-style reports (columnar format) that may be exported for use in a spreadsheet, like Excel.

Pros: ProCare is fairly easy to use. I did not receive any formal training on how to use the program, but I was able to teach myself how to use most functions fairly quickly.

Cons: This is not a deal breaker, but I would have liked to have seen more options for backgrounds on the program, since I like to decorate my desk and classroom according to the seasons.

Also, you have many more options for backgrounds than you might realize. Procare itself has close to 30 standard choices, but you can have Procare match your Windows color scheme, which gives you an even wider variety to choose from. To do so, from the Procare Home screen go to Configuration > User, and uncheck the box that says "use a program skin". Now set Windows to any color you like by going to the Personalization menu and choosing Colors. Hint: Click the Windows Start button and search for "Personalization".

Pros: The program is consistent if you understand how to use it. Can do so many things I have yet to learn all of it yet. Although the program is complicated--the procare support is usually very fast and always friendly. They are great about helping me with any questions I have.

Cons: The software is pretty complicated for me (I'm not computer wiz). Some things seem repetitive and it's hard to tell why you are doing the things you have to do to get the outcome you want. i.e. inputting the schedules directly correlates with the sign in/out sheets but the primary classroom DOES NOT these things are simply once you see the correlations-but was very difficult at first to understand.

Overall: Our business uses procare for EVERYTHING. This is how we collect our tuition-run tuition-keep track of who paid what when. Sign in and out sheets for the children. Where we keep all children info for contacting parents/allergies/age. I use procare to copy all emails for the families I need to mass email. I can text parents from procare. I use procare daily!

Pros: The ease of billing procedures, Tuition Express and Payroll. Procare is also a very user friendly program and the on-line tutorials is an extremely nice tool!

Cons: What I like least is that we lose Technical Support after a certain amount of time. After paying for the product it would be nice if the Technical Support could be offered on an on-going basis. The Technical Support Team does an amazing job and is always extremely polite and easy to work with whenever I encounter a problem. The amount of time spent on hold to reach them is sometimes difficult especially when we are trying to run our programs and do our jobs at the same time.

As to Technical Support, it's free and unlimited as long as you maintain a current version of Procare. For Cloud customers, that is automatic as you're always on the latest version. For non-Cloud (locally installed) editions of Procare there is a modest annual update subscription fee.

Pros: Parents enjoy the touch screen technology and the use of fingerprint check-in/out, though it's initially difficult to register some fingerprints.

Cons: The user interface is cumbersome and looks antiquated. Maintaining ProCare actually creates more work for me due to user error from parents not completing check-in and check-out - and the need to manually post payments to each account, without the ability to generate reports! Reporting is nonexistent. My home computer and my laptop both run Mac OS, which don't support this Windows-based software. I am searching for a new program that runs on Mac OS and has greater reporting capability.

Pros: I love the ease of the Sign in/out process. Once parents and approved adults are fingerprinted, we know they are approved to pick up kids. I love it that once parents sign in, I can generate several reports for by CEO.

Cons: Sometimes the Cloud starts running slowly during peak times. Everyday between 3 & 4 the system begins running slowly. Also, the fingerprint reader is very sensitive. Some parents fingerprints can't be read.

That said, we are in the process of making significant upgrades to our server facility to enhance capacity and connectivity. Also, there is always a small percentage the population (around 5%) who may have issues with fingerprint recognition┬┐in those cases a PIN+password option is available. A new model of fingerprint reader will be available soon that may also increase recognition.

We love Procare because with our line of work we need something reliable and easy to use.

Pros: We love how easy it is to use and that new things are being added all the time. We know that there are also functions that we haven't even begun to use! I also love the ease of way they can take control of the computer and trouble shoot for me being that I am a little computer illiterate.

Cons: The wait on the phone for technical support is very long. With our busy atmosphere it's hard to sit on hold for an hour at a time and then work with someone on fixing the problems. It's a good thing that we don't have to do it often!

Pros: It is extremely accurate and has an enormous set of features that I am still learning to use. It is relatively easy for someone like me who has a good working knowledge of computer work, but am not anywhere close to being a computer geek. The customer support has been very good in the times they were needed.

Cons: Customer support is needed about 2-3 times per year to get the software working. Sometimes, it takes a long time (over 30 minutes) to get a live person online. However, once a CSR is connected, they are very polite and get the problem fixed.

Hardware issue: some people have a problem with their finger image so we are having to set them up with other fingers. We tell them to rub behind their ears for natural oils to improve the image on the platen but there are some people who continue to have problems.

Overall: I use this program for payroll and monitoring child attendance. The payroll time cards are extremely easy to use with QuickBooks. I export the weekly child attendance to Excel to reconcile with manual forms to verify their accuracy for CACFP (food program)

Overall: I purchased a windows based computer because I was told it wouldn't work with my Mac. Once I had it set up I called customer service and was told he could not understand what the problem was it is so easy to use. I was hounded constantly to pay for the program I did not have as a new business. I called again to hoping to get a better customer service rep and was told well you bought it now it's your problem! I also purchased a lock for my door a bunch of parts in a box and NO help there either!

Cons: Very rarely, but when we have an outage it makes life hard because it is an all in one system.

Overall: I've been a Procare customer since 2002. In all the years I've used them, I can't rave enough on their customer service!!! They are a 10 star!! They are always right on top of any problem I have (which I can count on less than 2 hands because it's such a great program) and went above and beyond to get my problems solved VERY quickly.

Having an all in one system, family data-payments-staffing etc makes my job easier and leaves me more time to do the important stuff..working ON my business!! Thank you Procare for such a wonderful product!!

Recommendations to other buyers: A quicker way to reconcile TE and other deposits. I have to print bank activity report, deposit report and POS reports to match amounts against my excel sheet I use to keep up with bank deposits to assure my deposits are making it to the bank. Checks and cash are easy to reconcile because the amount always matches the deposit report.

I really like Procare it makes my daily life much easier.

Pros: Organizes the information that we require on families and who is in the building is wonderful.

Cons: The information that you enter on family members does not just go to each member you need to reenter the information. Address, phone numbers.

Pros: The software is so user friendly and adaptable to a Before & After School program. It was not developed for older kids or a after school program but you can easily modify.

Pros: The time that it saves our staff, the time it saves running to the bank and paperwork for multiple deposits. The convenience for the families and our staff. The dependability of receiving payments more consistently. It forces families to make childcare a priority.

Cons: It can be confusing reconciling with our accountant at the end of the month because our reports at month end do not always align exactly with our bank statement. Often tweaking needs to be done and dealing with bank account insufficient fund transactions can be confusing as well.

Overall: I am the director of a childcare/preschool/before & after school care program with approx. 260 children on our campus each day. We started using TE to collect our tuition/fees about 4.5 months ago and it has been a huge asset. We did not offer a choice to our families, their only form of payment has to be through a bank account, credit card or debit card. They must have one of the three on file. We were very worried about this. We were thrilled with the overall response and positive results. Customer service has been fabulous, especially Benji. I felt like we drove them crazy with questions both before and after we started the program. We have no regrets. It saves our directors much time with the auto payments and having the payments directly applied to the family accounts. What used to take each director hours each week, now only takes minutes. It is by far one of the best decisions we have ever made for our program.

Recommendations to other buyers: We love it overall and so do our parents. We are spending much less time trying to collect our monies from our families. Wish we would have taken advantage of this program sooner. Customer service has always been excellent!

Pros: I liked that you could use a finger print or a code for parents to check their kid in and out of the center.

Cons: The hardest thing about this software was printing out rosters for each class. I had to go through a process just to print out each class's roster one at a time. I could not find a way to print out all of them at once.

Overall: Procare is a great idea and has a great objective. However, there are some kinks to be worked on. Adding people to pick up a child was difficult because sometimes their finger print was already in the system for something or someone else.

Procare includes a wide variety of standard class rosters that can easily be printed for all classrooms at once. There are rosters, school directories, roll call and sign-in sheets, and you can create your own roster-style reports using the built-in Data Viewer. As to pickup people, if their fingerprint was already in the system, that likely means the person was entered multiple times and there's an easy-to-use tool to clean up duplicates. Pros: The functionality and the ease of use. I also love the fact we have a tech at our fingertips that can guide us through any problem we may encounter. And they teach me to do the task as well. Eliminating the need to call back for the same issues.

Pros: The ability to do so many things.

Cons: The way some of the items are stated makes it hard to know what you are going to get if you use it . Some of the reports are hard to know which one to use to get the information you are looking for at that time.

Overall: Procare is an awesome addition to our school. We made that decision in 2012 I think. It helps with streamlining day to day functions. We were able to do away with the time clock! We have accurate sign in/out information at our fingertips. Our parents love Tuition Express!

Cons: The check-in screen for parents to use freezes somewhat frequently. It can be very inconvenient when we need to reboot during the busy pick-up hours.

Overall: The software allows us to combine many things into 1 system. Employees use to clock-in, parents check the children in/out, it stores child emergency contacts, we can print timecards from the software, etc.

Pros: I how much time and money it saves me and how easy it is to use.

Overall: We have been loyal Procare customers and that will never change. We have always received excellent service from everyone at Procare. Procare software saves our company time and money. It has been a blessing for both our business and our customers. It is the one aspect of our business that I don't stress about. I tell new people all the time that they will be amazed at what all Procare can do for them. We love the Procare software as well as Tuition Express and the Data Hosting. Combining all of the features that Procare has to offer makes my job and my staff's jobs so much easier and stress-free. Parents have the ease to pay at the center or online and the payment is posted directly to their account. I also love that they offer free training videos on their website. Procare software is excellent!

Pros: The ability to bill parents seamlessly, mass text message families, tuition express and credit card payments, tracking expenses and P&L statements, management of my wait list, parent check in computer etc

Cons: We would like a parent portal with daily sheets, so parents can see how their little ones are doing at school. This is being rolled out soon!

Pros: Procare does a great job at helping organize your business from all the kids and families you have enrolled, to helping you with billing. There are so many tools within the program that help you efficiently run your day to day tasks. Through Procare we were also able to track attendance by allowing our parents to check the children in and out, which was very helpful.

Cons: It can be a very complicated system and I often needed help through customer support. The program would malfunction or go through upgrades and that was very frustrating when trying to run a business.

Overall: It helps you organize your business in a more efficient way.

As to an inability to process billing or prevent time clock manipulation, those are also things we can help with... especially setting user limits to prevent people from making changes to time card entries (and there┬┐s an audit trail to show any changes that were made).

Overall: I cant say enough great things about the staff at Pro Care. We had a disaster hit our computer system, which destroyed everything (before we got on Pro Care Cloud), but all of the support tech team, worked overtime on helping us retrieve our data, and I do mean a lot of hours! We couldn't retrieve all of the data, but I assure you, every effort was made to do so, and that is what meant so much to us. We highly recommend this program and make sure you get on Tuition Express, and Cloud, you wont be sorry. Its the best investment and gift for your business in the world! Pros: Provides all the functionality needed to run a pre-school from start to finish. Customer service and tech desks are truly outstanding!

Cons: Perhaps more flexibility in running payroll reports on individual employees as I sometimes get request from HHS or other agencies asking for specific employee information in a specific format.

Pros: Very easy to move around the different modules. If I don't remember how to do a task, Procare Tech is a phone call away and will go through the steps one at a time. Through the years they have been very professional and personal with my concerns. We have had procare since 2001.

Cons: I cannot think of a thing. Procare is set up for our daycare business in many ways. It is an all in one system. Bookkeeping, banking, family set up, payroll, paying the expenses. As the administrator, I have a lot of time to spend in the rooms with the children because of this program.

Overall: Maintaining excellent records for the daycare on a daily basis.

The support team is always willing to assist.

Pros: Tuition express. Allows us to batch select our families to collect dues. Time management is important to us.

Cons: Batch clock in. During the school months when busses arrive it's convenient to have the ability to check in the children all at once when they get off the bus.

There┬┐s also a web-based app that lets you check in individual children based on the name of the drop-off person (such as the parent or bus driver), and we have another tool in development that will support batch check-in from a tablet. Pros: Works well for tracking children and families.

Cons: the general ledger and financial reporting

Overall: Because we are annually audited, the accounting piece of the software is not CPA friendly. If a center had revenue less than $750k, the accounting module may be sufficient. Not enough checks and balances to prevent accounting errors for the non accounting person.

Recommendations to other buyers: Looking forward to see what changes are made for version 11. Until then we will use an accounting software package for our accounts payable, general journal entries, etc.

Pros: It is very user friendly. Tech support is always very helpful when issues arise. I like that I can keep track of children's records and billing.

Cons: There are some reports I would like to run that aren't an option. Also when you print an account statement, the decimal numbers do not show.

As to health appraisal information, there may be a way to accomplish that using child tracking or immunization settings. Pros: Solid cloud service, incredible software support from both the website and, most importantly, the LIVE people that are always spot on with their assistance

Cons: Just one nitpicky thing; I would like a feature that would let you automatically duplicate one months budget to the other eleven months without have to manually import and save the monthly budget into the other eleven months

Overall: We are just starting our 4th year on Procare at our center. We are going through a State audit and it is invaluable to have all the reports for attendance, accounting and other things that the auditors are asking for. We cannot imagine going through an audit if we did not have Procare installed!
