“These days, Procare is constantly down or having issues that can’t be fixed without calling support. When you do call, you’re met with hold times anywhere from 45 minutes to over 2 hours, and there’s no call-back option. Once you finally reach someone, most of the time they can’t resolve the problem, and you’re told you need to schedule a call with someone “higher up” — which can take days or even a week.“

Procare Solution's support help and tech help are generally very responsive; the software options provide a decent (though not perfect) fit for our needs; the systems/technology generally functions as intended (with occasional tech glitches/system-wide issues).

Pros

Procare Solutions provides our school with the best software option we have found. Every other year or so we shop around to see what newly exists or has been updated that might better accommodate; we have yet to find a competing software that does anywhere near what Procare accomplishes for anywhere near the price point.

Cons

Our school's enrollment and schedule structure (where students enroll in multiple classes and different programs through the year) requires several workarounds/nonintuitive uses of Procare Desktop's tracking & tags, as the generic options do not accommodate our schedule structure. Additionally, there are a handful of features in Procare Online/Procare App that we would prefer more flexibility/options for.

I have been using procare for 4 years and wouldn’t change it! I love the ease of pushing a button to update eating, sleeping, and toileting

Pros

It’s so easy to keep parents up to date in real time! The parents love that they can see how their child is doing, while they’re at work.

Cons

Sometimes it kicks families out. I have to take time to explain how to log back in/change their password

### "Promises Support, Delivers Silence"

We chose Procare hoping it would make things easier for our staff and families. Instead, it has created constant stress. Another major concern is billing. Rates that were discussed and promised during the sales process are not what we are being charged. When questions come up about these discrepancies, there is no one available to resolve them. When money is involved, the inability to get answers is extremely concerning. We’ve also experienced software issues that affect daily operations, but again, there is no support available to help troubleshoot or fix them. This program is advertised as something that should make life easier for child care providers and staff who are already working hard to care for children. Instead, it has done the opposite. It adds frustration, confusion, and unnecessary stress to an already busy environment. For a company serving child care providers, reliable support should be the bare minimum. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience with Procare.

Pros

I will say signing up was quick and easy, and communication during the sales process was fast and helpful. Unfortunately, that changed immediately after we became customers.

Cons

The biggest issue is customer support — or the complete lack of it. Before purchasing, support was responsive and helpful. After signing up, it has been nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone. Calls go unanswered, and emails often receive no response at all. In our case, we have never received a response back to emails asking for help. When you rely on software to manage payments and child care operations, not being able to reach support is unacceptable.

I love it and parents love the ongoing updates and communication. I love the ease of billing and not having to face to face ask for money each month

Pros

Customer support is awesome, ease of use, communication with parents, billing ease, it helps anxious parents feel more at ease with pictures and updates

Cons

with the new update I have had difficulty with after entering activity and time then having a distraction it resets and I don't catch it and I have to go back and individually correct it for 18 students which didn't use to happen. Also when I switched from Stripe to in house $ collection the fees are huge I comparison. Although I have always loved and recommended Procare, this is almost a deal breaker

Overall it’s a great app. It’s very easy to use. Uploading pics is so easy as well. Being able to go in detail is nice

Very easy to maneuver around, I like to be able to edit also. Easy to post pics and keep track of everything

Not being able to “react” to parents messages. Sometimes instead of having to actually respond back to a message it would e nice if we could just do a heart or thumbs up.

The onboarding experience was really nice. However, it's been hard to contact anyone since then. I do worry about how I'm supposed to resolve these issues when I can't contact anyone about them.

Pros

VALUE FOR MONEY. Our families and I love that it's an all-in-one system. From payments, to newsletters and quick parent communication.

Cons

CUSTOMER SUPPORT. It has been really hard to get ahold anyone anytime that we've had an issue, problem or question. I'm still waiting to hear back about an issue I asked long ago.

Pros

We love all the features of Procare! Check in/check out, invoices, and messages get used the most. It helps with our day to day.

Cons

Parents and teachers tend to get kicked out and have to reset their passwords more often than we feel is necessary.

### "Procare - a comprehensive solution with lots of implementation support"

We transitioned shortly after the return from the pandemic and parents really liked being able to see ratios and other updates about the day. it was easy to implement with lots of support provided by procare

Pros

We set this up for our PreK and customers loved the experience. It's easy fo set up billing through the software and parents are able to payments, messages to teachers and how they sign their child in and out each day. Our admin finds it easy to manage classes and students.

Cons

This was a pricey solution but we ultimately like having everything, including payment and parent management, on one platform.

While this is the only childcare software I have used over the years, I have been very happy with the usability. Sometimes it's hard to find what you want, but with a little time and determination you can always figure it out.

Pros

I love how there possibilities for running reports and seeing information offers such a wide variety. Syncing everything to Procare Engagement App for parents is also really nice. One of the reasons we chose engagement as a software for parents was because of the syncing. Whenever I have called the support team they have always fixes issues promptly and with great customer service.

Cons

Something that's frustrating for parents in that if they have a child at more than one of our locations they have different sign in pins for each location. While it's a small problem, I think having a sign-in pin specific to each person regardless of location would be nice. Secondly- and I realize it's a safety protocol, but when we transfer students between locations- have the TE information transfer with the student would be so nice. Again- I know it's for safety reasons, but maybe information like could be accessed with a pin code or password?

Procare has worked wonderfully for my center. After having used other systems and ending up frustrated (particularly with their billing capabilities), the Procare software has really show itself to be the best.

Pros

I have evaluated many child care management solutions, and Procare is the best. It has been around in the market long enough to have worked out the bugs, and they are adding new features all the time. The system isn't perfect, but it's always improving and it works wonderfully for home child care, as well as larger centers (I've run both).

Cons

I have had issues recently with the support team, due to some business changes and updates to my account that needed to be made. I've always had a good experience with support in the past, so I'm hopeful that this was a one-time problem.

I have always liked using Procare verses other programs. Procare customer service is always available when you need them. It is easy to communicate with families and staff. I also love the learning section and being able to put in lesson plans.

Pros

This program has always been easy to navigate and understand. There are many different types of reports you can make for important data needed. We love having all of the students information easy to access. The parents love the communication through daily reports showing meals and naps, incident reports, and pictures throughout the day.

Cons

I am not a fan of the new messaging system with it going to two different places. We do not allow access to out teachers so it is not needed and makes us miss some of the messages.

The experience has been great! I appreciate the customer support the most. They are quick responders!

Pros

I like the price, it is much cheaper than Brightwheel. Customer support has been excellent, that is actually the reason I chose them. I like the staff management module.

Cons

I accept check and online payments and charge different amounts based on how customers pay. I would like to be able to limit customers who signed up to pay by check to ONLY be able to pay by check, and not use the card payment function. Also, the filtering of students gets a little clunky. In the student module I can't filter by 2 options, like "kids who attend 2 days" and have "allergies." The filter returns "kids who attend 2 days" OR "kids who have allergies" which is a large data set of all the "kids who attend 2 days" OR kids who have "allergies." I need to filter for both, so I want to see "kids who attend 2 days and also have allergies," just the 2 day kids who have allergies.

Overall, I am so glad we decided to invest in our daycare by using Procare. For the small amount it costs us monthly, it pays for itself with time saved! Bonus is that the parents really like us using it also!

Pros

What I like most about Procare is the ease of use. It was very simple to set up & very simple to get started using for myself, the staff and the parents. If we ever had any questions a representative was there to help us along the way.

Cons

If I had to pick a con about Procare, which is hard to do, it would be that some parents experienced minor glitches with setting up their automatic ACH payments. All in all, any of those were taken care of within days.

I chose Procare because I felt like we would be more satisfied. The representative was very upfront with all information & features including offering the best pricing immediately. Bright wheel quoted a cost, then when I stated I decided to go with Procare, they came down on their cost in attempt to "beat Procare out". I just personally did not care for that approach to business. Also, there was no feature or capability that Brightwheel had that Procare did not. Plus, I preferred the layout and ease of use of Procare.

Overall it has been a good management program for our center. We only use it for program management.

Pros

Procare has been a great change for our program. It has a lot of features to the small amount we pay monthly. It is easy to learn and navigate for new users.

Cons

Support at times is hard to reach a real person. For a billing problem we were having, I called and left messages multiple times and never heard back from anyone. Thankfully the situation resolved itself.

Overall I like Procare, it it user friendly and easy to navigate. However as of recent with the new changes implemented there have been a ton of bugs and the flow of the ledger seems to be off making it aggravating for centers using the software before the major update.

Pros

Over procare has been very useful and a time saver for our company as a whole. Whenever there is a problem customer service is generally easy to connect with. I also love that my teachers are able to directly connect with parents throughout the day and send to the minute updates for their babies. It's very reassuring for our parents to have that open line of communication and availability to and with our teachers and staff while their child is in our care.

Cons

It has capability to capture CACFP enrollment but it doesn't do anything beyond that. We have to pay for and use a separate software to capture the data. Procare also does not offer integration with other software like kidkare to capture new student enrollment/information. There is not an easier way to create separate accounts linked for billing for parents that are co-parenting but have other children.

We have had Procare for around 10 years. Overall, we are very satisfied. It has been very effective for helping of collecting tuition each week. We love customer support, every time we call they are very helpful and help us solve whatever the issue is.

Pros

We like the ease of use for staff and parents, the child and parent management and the teacher communication.

Cons

We don't like the rising costs of the transaction fees for processing. I know that everything is going up but the rising costs effects our bottom line.

Pros

I recently had a couple of issues with a parent making a credit card payment at the center. Customer support was available right away (wait time was very minimal) and they were able to help me fix the different problems with each payment.

Cons

When a parent is at the center wanting to make a credit card payment with Tuition Express there should be a place to confirm the amount is what they want to pay. My issue was the parent only wanted to pay part of the bill and I processed the full payment. I think it would be helpful to have a screen that says are you sure you want to pay this amount.

Overall Procare is user friendly from a staff and family perspective. It is a great value for the money and customer support is a 5 star rating.

Cons

Our android use families have issues at times signing in/out their children. The teachers will occasionally have issues with formatting and sending newsletters.

The last 15 years Procare has evolved and still remains use friendly. The technically support is always helpful and friendly. Overall good easy student tracking, helpful features, but pricing could be more affordable.

Easy to use, helps with parent communication, attendance, billing, and streamlines daily tasks. I have always recommended Procare to others in our industry.

Cons

Sometimes updates cause glitches, and reports can be a little tricky to customize. The technical support team is always helpful at solving any problems. Great customer services.

Overall, ProCare is the heart of our center and we use it all day every day to manage billing, ratios, waitlists, rosters, etc.

Pros

It connects us to parents and families in real time. We use the message feature constantly to send updates and reminders. For billing it is a safe and reliable payment option, easy to navigate.

Cons

We dislike the new office vs. classroom message feature. Our classroom teachers do not message parents, only admin, so we wish we could just disable one of the message portals. It is super confusing to parents to know which one to use, and we are constantly having to click between the inboxes to check messages. Also, the frequent server errors.

I really have nothing bad to say. Any problems we may have are reported and fixed quickly. i have only good things to report.
