Pros Our school utilizes many aspects of the Procare platform. We have done away with paper registrations and now use Procare solely for our registration process, enrollment, and tuition processing. During Covid, we began using features that we hadn't used before; such as the parent engagement app. That has become a crucial part of our program. Cons The registration process for enrollment was difficult to set up; however, a specialist talked us through. Sometimes something won't work (such as importing a student) and it takes calling customer service to figure out where the glitch lies because it is not easily detected. Review Source AB Amanda B. The platform is very user friendly. The payment integration with Tuition Express is a wonderful feature and cuts down on the time spent billing and collecting payments. Cons The only area that can be difficult is when entering immunizations, if you enter a date wrong for the first immunization, and then continue entering dates before realizing your original error, you have to go back and change all of the immunizations entered rather than being able to add an additional immunization to the top. The management of our daily needs is pretty seamless. I can even talk our director through it over the phone in my absence and she has no trouble. Very pleased overall. Cons There could be better reporting functions and also being able to delete old reports that no longer need to be stored in my list. Would love to be able to track staff vacation hours within the system. Also, wish immunization and medical records could have just a form for expiration dates (with corresponding reports). The program is reliable and really simplifies our job. Pros That I can log in from any computer and manage my account. Print reports on account and most importantly it keeps track of payment so when the end of the year comes, we can give a detail report of payments. Cons It was a little hard to handle at the beginning. But once you become familiar it better to manage. Everything in one program makes life easier for the teacher and the administrator. Also, parents being able to see their child's activities is amazing. Pros I love how easy it is to set up invoices and recurring payments. Customer Care is also amazing. They are very helpful; if you need it, they go step by step to explain how to set up families on the ProCare System. Once it has some of the things I am looking for I would certainly keep using this app. Pros There are alot of options and I think it has alot to offer, this is my personal opinion. I have been looking for a app that checks off all my boxes, this one has majority of them but a few things missing. the price is much more afforable then alot of the apps out there and you get way more. Cons I REALLY Wish it had a EXPENSE Section, This would be a game changer. The customer support is not the best. I emailed them about pricing and never got a response. Even the little messager box help is very slow. for anyone who is a visual learner it would be great if there were more short videos to help guide you. I believe there are alot more feature with partnered apps but was confused how to do this, not very user friendly for people who get confused easy with technology. Pros I liked Procare's ability to allow the parents to both interact with the staff and make payments through the app. I also liked the ability to keep track of all pertinent information for each of the campers and staff, as well as the ability to track attendance and compile specific reports. Cons When setting up templates for payment plans, there is no easy solution for covering daily charges for partial months without having to use the following month. Review Source MM Mari M. Cons Feel like there could be more moods. Dislike that we are limited to the ones provided and that it has a specific emoji linked to the emoji. Bathroom options could be elaborated for individuals that are potty training: examples sat but didn’t eliminate, wet diaper and used potty, peed in potty bm in pull up. Difficult to read all allergy info on their profile. August 15, 2023 4.0 I have had a great experience, the help/customer service is always prompt and helpful, and I am very content with what I have been able to do with procare desktop and the functionality I have found with procare connect Pros I like being able to set up my own criteria to track incoming/enrolled students - what paperwork they're missing, guardianship concerns, etc. I LOVE the way that physicals and immunizations are tracked, it makes my job way easier. Cons I wish there was a little more customization. I would like to be able to permanently set up to see 2 payers for accounts with 2 payers and only 1 for accounts with only 1. I would like to be able to set which days certain pick-up people are allowed to pick up. I would like for User Defined Fields to show up on account pages where Account Tracking shows up. I would like to be able to schedule a child to move into a different classroom on a certain date the way I can schedule for a child to be on break or to be enrolled on a certain day.There are many features I wish for. We were told that Procare offered the best things about EzCare2 and some added benefits like the app. While the app is great, from and administration point, Procare does not have any of the best features that EzCare2 had. Pros The best this about Procare is the app and ease of making payments for the parents. Cons There is so much that the online version of Procare does not have that the desktop version has and EzCare2 had. Especially with the family ledgers. You cannot remove a payment that was automatically added, even when it is on the wrong account. Also you cannot delete children that were incorrectly added. This is extremely frustrating. Support just says we cannot do it, and no one cares enough to make sure that changes get made. Reason for choosing Procare Solutions I did not have much time to look into other providers once I found out that EzCare2 was being discontinued. I was notified in Oct/Nov and had to stop using EzCare by March. With the holidays and the fact that I had to manually transfer all of our families' financial date, there just wasn't time to research other companies. Review Source AH Anna H. The software has a lot of flexibility and keeps a great deal of data pertaining to our families. WISH it ran on a Mac Computer!!! Wish there was more control over the data collected at registration as far as making certain information required. We spend a great deal of time following up to get things filled out after the fact by parents. Pros I love the robust capabilities of ProCare & I REALLY like the automated billing as I used to do this functionality manually. Huge time saver. Cons The desktop version is only available on a windows based computer. I have a Mac computer and therefore do not have access to the data up til now. The new web solution will give me more access to student information, however the data entry portion is still driven from the desktop version. July 24, 2023 5.0 We have used Procare for over twenty years now, and love it! Have we looked into switching? Absolutely, because you always want to ensure that you are using the best product for your business. In researching other childcare management systems, there is no childcare management sytem out there that can do everything that Procare does. I have never had a negative experience with Procare either. I love the Tuition Express feature and I use Procare to process our payroll, which saves our company so much money from having to outsource this. We love Procare and wish them continued success as that helps our business' continued success! Pros I love how easy it is to use Procare and all of the capabilities of Procare. Cons I wish that Procare could be used on an Apple product. We have to use Procare desktop due to the size of our school, but there is not an option to use Procare Desktop on an apple product. I wish that Procare Cloud could be used for our size of school. There are some features not on Procare Cloud that are on Desktop and vice versa. The app.procaresoftware.com interface could use a huge overtaking as well. We have to use this on our phones being as we cannot use Procare Cloud. Reason for choosing Procare Solutions No other childcare management system offers everything Procare does. The easiest question that gets me off the phone with other childcare management system reps is, "Does your system allow me to process payroll/direct deposit?". Not a single other childcare management system offers that. For me that is huge because I use Procare to process our payroll and this saves us so much money versus having to outsource this. Other companies offer similar capabilities, but none have anything Procare cannot do. Review Source MD Marty D. We haven't had too many issues other than an occasional outage. Pros I like how parents can see real time updates on what their child is doing at school - diaper changes, mood, meals, naps. Cons I feel that when a staff person is added there should be a bare minimum of what features they can access. We inputted a new staff person and their email was incorrect so the person who received it go into our school on procare and changed the names of the classrooms and was able to see the personal information of each child. In the future, if you add any new staff members and want to limit the access they have, select "Non-Admin User" which will give them access to log into Procare and the ability to clock in/out with a PIN, but limit the rest of their access or make them unable to view staff information, billing, lead information, reports, etc. You can also edit permissions for different user types under your account settings to further customize default staff permissions.
