As a business our experience is Amazing!! it has made everything from counting children in to uploading all updates and conversating with parents so easy.

Pros

I love that it gives my staff and parents A Lot of communication options, and ways to check them in and out right from their hands. I also like that it is very well organized and the layout is easy to use and know where things go.

Cons

Nothing.. we have little to no issues! Maybe the only factor i would like better is being able to sync more than once in just one hour.

Overall, this is a nice platform. Communication should come really easy with this.

Pros

That I was able to see photos of my child and also that the platform gives helpful tips and articles to enjoy.

Cons

That with certain phones it was not supported. That is a thumb down for the company because it should available for anyone to use no matter the phone software. Maybe just not allow some things but all the important things should still be able to be managed.

I love it. I always recommend it to any director or center owner. Its everything imbedded in one software.

Pros

I absolutely love how user friendly Procare is. Everything is at the touch of your hands! Parents and Teachers love it!!!

Cons

At times there could be a few glitches. Weather and internet connection plays a big factor, but for us, it's not a determining factor since the program has so many pros!

Pros

It is a very easy to use program, the customer service is great, always get a quick response.

Cons

For the financial aspect, I wish there was a check reader that would save me from still having to go to the bank to deposit a physical check.

Reason for choosing Procare Solutions

Smart Care was more geared towards childcare/daycare centers. Once we started using it we realized it did not work for our school setting. Procare's features were very similar to Child Care Manager.

It has been good. Very helpful and easy transition.

Pros

I love that when I have a problem I know who I can go to for help. My support team that when I have an issue has always been there and handled anything that I need. They always get back to me when I have a question in a timely manner and if they cannot figure something out they will din someone that can!

Cons

I wish we could add some things ourselves. In the Procare apps for changing diapers and a few little things. Also I liked in Procare desktop that things were ascending not descending in payments. The most recent at the top. (might have that backwards) Plus

I love Procare. The slow customer service can be a pain, but it is still great. The value is immeasurable for me. Our whole childcare center runs thru Procare, it is much more than a simple data base to take the place of QuickBooks. If Procare did not exist tomorrow, I would be in a world of hurt! I spend several hours a day on it, between bookkeeping, meals, lesson plans, attendance, and more. I am not sure how a daycare operates with out it.

Pros

The cloud keeps everything updated on all our seats. That is good to know, when you log in, that the attendance and accounts are up to date. We love having pictures of kids, parents, and people allowed to pick up children, it is a great feature. The modules we have work fantastic. I have been a procare user since it was a new company, and I still think it is the best program out there for child care centers.

Cons

GROWING PAINS! I believe Procare has grown so much, that they have lost a little personal service. It can take days to get in touch with someone, and several voicemails to get a call returned. It used to not be so. I do hope they can adjust and get the great customer service back.

staying connected to families and being able to communicate through messages.

Cons

We had a separated family and the address of the child kept automatically changing to her fathers address even though we changed it back multiple times. Updated information seems to revert back.

Overall experience has been a good one. There are bugs and kinks that need to be worked out but Procare listens to their users and actively works on improving their products.

Pros

I like that it creates reports, creates signature pages, and sends emails to parents with reminders about vaccines. Being able to link parent communication, staff management, and student management all in one place is very handy.

Cons

There are things that don't flow well and bugs that need to be fixed. For example, staff permissions don't always make sense and, as with any online based app, there are glitches. However, it is still a good product.

Reason for choosing Procare Solutions

Those of us in administration were familiar with Procare from working at other facilities and found it to be the easiest to use, since it's what we are familiar with.

Everything you need to keep track of your school, enrollments, attendance, communication with parents and staff, sending updates and photos to parents, getting reports of everything you need for licensing

Cons

The Learning tab would be nice to customize with the \[sensitive content hidden\] Approach to set the Projections. When we send messages to the parent it would be nice for the display of the message to be name of the School

Pros

I have had an extremely pleasant experience with ProCare for the past six years . ProCare is very reliable and user - friendly so that process of learning how to navigate the system as well. while using ProCare, I can keep track of all the children in the facility, and every payment that is made, this helps me stay on track and makes my workday easier. I haven't had a negative experience with the program and I would recommend it to any childcare facility.

Cons

needing to have a code every time before login to the system . I understand its for security reason but sometime its taking too long to receive the code.

The glitches and the automatic payment and report system can use some updating. More reports need to became available like an absentee report.

Pros

Mangement of daily activities and parents being able to communicate more effectively with the staff.

Cons

The reports are horrible and very hard to print out in simple form to contain all the information an example of this is the immunization Report.

Overall, a good workhorse of an application, used all day long every business day. I would rate it 3 1/2 stars out of 5.

Pros

Attendance Tracking works well, and integrates well with the companion Parent Engagement app.

Cons

Reports are a constant source of frustration, as they almost invariably leave out important fields. The inability to custom design reports from the entire selection of fields is a noticeable lack; the "custom report" function still overly prescribes what fields you can (and therefore cannot) use. Users at the management level should be able to custom design reports that fit THEIR unique needs, and all fields should be able to be selected. This should be simple to implement. The other major drawback is the lack of a version for the Mac. 1 out of every 5 computers are Macs, and the ratio is higher in education. This should be addressed.

We have been able to cut down on some costs as it relates to the various systems used to manage our childcare software. It also allowed our families and staff an easier single-sign on approach. However, there is always room for improvement.

Pros

Coming from EZ-Care, Procare is a pretty good solution for our financial and childcare management needs. It has allowed us to consolidate many aspects together into one application.

Cons

Comparing it directly to EZ-Care, there are a few differences that made our lives a little easier. The implementation took a little longer than initially planned, and it takes some time getting used to the system.

It looked like it had superior features, provided a lower cost, and the implementation process would be easier.

### "Great Program worth the price"

When I first took over in the childcare office I was under the impression that Sandbox would not fulfill what we were looking for in a software program, but after doing more research on my own I discovered that Sandbox was able to do everything that other programs do. I've enjoyed working with the Sandbox program and their customer service.

Pros

This software has the same functions as many of the more expensive software. Without have any formal training on it I was able to figure it out pretty easily and being able to call, email or chat with customer support has been a huge help. Everything that we were looking for in a software program Sandbox has with being a fraction of the price of others. Sandbox is simple and clean looking and is working on updating to keep up to date resources available to parents and teachers.

Cons

Some of the features that it has such as with child daily logs is not as concise as I would prefer it to be as an administrator, but over all it is simple to use and easy for parents to navigate.

We were closely looking a Brightwheel but when we compared them side by side Sandbox does the same thing as Brightwheel but for half the price. Brightwheel is more visually appealing but I appreciate the simplicity of Sandbox

The company used to be more honest and reliable. Read the reviews on Indeed from their employees - that tells you a lot!

Pros

The software has a lot of features that are easy to use once you learn the system.

Cons

They will steal your data and then refuse to respond to your inquiries. They're expensive and the wait time for any help desk problem is atrocious.

### "One Step Closer to Ideal"

I am very grateful. We have made many strides forward with the help of Procare.

Pros

We love the accessibility and real time updates. Procare customer service and tech assistance is EXCELLENT!

Cons

We need to offer the public an option to register and pay for our wait list through our preschool website. Procare only allows customers already added to the database to make payments online. I wish there was “guest” type user option where I could include a link on our website. I have expressed my concern, however it doesn’t look like changes will come any time soon. Procare’s only option is to invite potential families to fill out a form and then to go back and pay. This will require to many steps and confusion. I wish there were simple rosters and sign-in sheets we could use. So far, this feature has not been useful for us. With our initial setup we had a few different experts offer opposing advice and in the end we had to go back and correct a few things for every family’s account. I wish there were a way to have one account manger the first year. Someone we could call upon and not have to explain our framework each time. I’m learning that my preschool is very different than your typical 12-month childcare program. I wish there was a better understanding for half-day preschool programs with varying before and after preschool programs. We still spend way too much time calculating fees when it could so easily be automated if Procare offered these options. I’m happy to help you design it when you are ready. In fact, I know a few Half-day programs who are waiting for a more conducive software before they invest in this type of change in billing.

Reason for choosing Procare Solutions

Procare seemed to offer the most knowledgeable customer service and I did not feel pressured to buy. I got the impression the sales team was genuinely happy to help and even showed kindness as I expressed my frustrations for what Procare could NOT do.

Always a great experience.

Pros

ProCare is so easy to use and they have so many different options to really make it user friendly.

Cons

The only thing I would recommend as an improvement would be that the online and desktop versions merged quicker and that all information was available in both sections - such as immunizations, and attendance being updates better.

We love that class list, contact information, attendance, records, etc. are easily accessible to teachers and staff.

Pros

Procare has been a great way for our parents to be in communication with our teachers. Parents love the feature of updates throughout the day. Teachers can message whole or partial classes with information in an instant.

Cons

We have struggled in the past with get quick customer service as we are learning the new system. System support and education of all the features would be a huge plus. As we continue to learn more, we are excited with all Procare can offer.

### "Using only one Feature of Kinderlime"

Pros

It appears state-of-the art when parents are checking in/out their child on the phone or computer. Previously, we had used paper daily to sign the students out.

Cons

1\. This software does not allow us to turn off some features that we do not use like the Billing. An amount accumulates through the school year. When I tried clearing their balances, notifications were sent out to parents. This alarms the parents because of an unexpected invoice. We use a different program for billing parents. 2. The report to Export ALL students, Parents and authorized pickups is not ALL people on the student's authorized pick up list. The carpoolers are not picked up. Therefore, we cannot use it to verify with another list. 3. The auto-generated emails cannot be customized to fit our school communication. 4. The Message box cannot be cleared. I also would like this turned off so that the parents do not use this for communication. 5. I like the feature of automatic notification when the child is checked in. However, when it is the wrong student that was checked in, there should be some kind of automatic email to "disregard the previous email." 6. When the parent signs up, they no longer get the automatic notification emails when the child is checked in. It should be defaulted so that the parent will always get the emails unless they manually select no emails. As a new signer, they may not know to set it up to continue receiving the automatic emails. 7. I find the GIF in the Support Communication an unprofessional insert. I am not tech savvy and accidentally sent an inappropriate GIF that does not represent our school standards.

Pros

Procare has exactly what you need to manage a child care business. You are able to manage students and classrooms, while also billing tuition and collecting payments. Procare seems to always be striving to give their robust program a softer look while keeping it user friendly.

Cons

Would like to see more functionality around the type of reports that can be pulled. Would like the parents to have an easier way to enroll online and pull the information directly into procare. I would think that this could be done without having to build out that side of things.
