### "Procare- Clear and easy to use"

Procare has always been easy to use. I have found their support team to be helpful and patient with any problems I have had.

Pros

I like that Procare is easy to use. Their layout makes sense and is visually pleasing (which is important when you are looking at something most of the day).

Cons

I wish that Procare had a parent helpline. Currently, parents have to go through the center when they have an issue, but that process can be time consuming. It would be nice if parents could speak directly with Procare when they are experiencing a problem.

Ease of use, layout, and believe it or not Tucker (My last director chose Procare over another product when she heard the penguin's name was Tucker).

Pros

I have been using Procare since 2001 and they are continually making improvements to the programs. The company takes advice from their customers on ease of use and ideas for improvements.

Cons

I liked the previous version where I was able to select Primary and Secondary classrooms because it makes it easier to plan rosters for the next transition.

I have really enjoyed it and enjoyed seeing what the teachers post throughout the day, with being in the office and away from the rooms, I can see what they post and how the children's day is. But my most favorite thing would be the no paper copy of a sign in/out sheet. I like being able to go on and see what kids are here and the time of drop/pick up. It has been a life saver for data and keeping attendance at our finger tips.

Pros

I love how the parents can use their phones and sign the child in/out. I love how I don't have to make paper sign in/out sheets anymore. It is so nice that the data is right here on the computer, if we need to print or give to a parent. The other thing I like most about Procare is we have a way to communicate, like texting but not texting and exchanging phone numbers. We have had many parents express how happy they are about it and enjoy getting pics and all the info throughout the day.

Cons

Only thing I can think of at the moment is, when we send a picture to a parent, they are unable to like/share or comment the picture. (like Instagram) or even not knowing the parent received the picture.

Pros

That we are able to input the charges and make the payments. And we are able to see the records for 3 years ago if the parents need it

Cons

When parents are trying to make the payment, they often have trouble making the payment and reaching the portal. they need to either change browser, clear the cookies or clear the browser for it to function.

We have used Procare for many years. The thought of it is great but we find it lacking in MANY areas. The thought of changing software is daunting which is the reason we have stuck with it. We also feel that Tuition Express fees are very outrageous.

Pros

We like the data management aspect of Procare. We also like the thought of having everything in one place.

Cons

The software is time consuming and not extremely user friendly. We are not able to do all of the things we would like to. The software is not ideal from the accounting side. Our accounts prefers other financial software but does tolerate Procare. Balancing bank accounts is VERY time consuming and difficult. The program is not user friendly for parents and does not have a great app. I don’t feel it is all inclusive. Meaning we have to use multiple programs in addition to Procare to manage our school. The Tuition Express processing fees are absolutely exorbitant and seem to increase frequently.

Pros

As the director it is important to have a system that can do everything for us day to day, while ensuring we are in compliance with state licensing. Procare has been able to do that so far. I like how we can communicate, run reports and complete billing all in one place.

Cons

I wish more was able to be done on the app and not have to go onto the desktop to do it. Other than that, maybe the ability to make fully customizable reports.

Overall I love the easy access to all the help. Anything I may not understand how to do I can quickly search and find get explanation on how to complete the steps. Also the help desk is very quick to respond via email or telephone wit answers and even help walk me through steps.

Pros

I love the organization of having all products in the same program window. The set up and implementation was very simple. You could make things as simple or complex as you need. Tuition Express has made the process for payments of tuition the smoothest its ever been. Parents love going to the portal to make payments at their convenience.

Cons

I wish that when you were selecting GL accounts that you could search by alpha characters and not just numbers in all areas. Also wish that you could check balances on the budget by account more quickly than the current process. In our previous system (ACS) we had an area that we could just type the GL number or name and it would pull up the account showing the current balance, current budget amount, and all expenses that had come out on a screen. The current process is very time consuming to pull this.

ACS was not housing all our Draft(ACH) data. We were running ACH files through the bank then we had to hand key the payments into ACS. Procare removed this step for us which was wonderful.

It use to be great. That is why we have used it it the past at over 10 locations.

Pros

I use to really like procare when we were able to get assistance when we needed it.Now you are made to wait and when you are contacted it seldom a positive result.

Cons

Not being able to deal with the same person.Customer care in now a thing of the past with procare.

Overall it's a great app and system. I use it daily at my work and its was super easy to learn how to operate.

Pros

It was an easy transition from our other app. I love the report option that allows me to pull up daily attendance on a PDF.

Cons

When children are signed in to one classroom then transferred to another classroom room they are signed in and signed out then signed back in to the classroom. Their name then shows up twice on the attendance list.

Procare is helpful in keeping things streamlined and easy. From reports, to real time classroom numbers, it has everything a program admin could need.

Pros

The reports feature is really helpful, I use them daily to help with all aspects of my job. I like that you can use the Data Viewer feature to create reports that are specific to my program. I wasn't part of the back end of launching ProCare, so I can't speak to how easy or difficult it was to move from the old system we had to now, but from ease of use it is leaps and bounds better.There is so much more to explore within Procare, and I am excited to do that.

Cons

I have not encountered any issues with what Procare offers, however some training materials that are prepped and ready to go for new teachers would be great. We've looked online at the resources, but some of them aren't relevant.

Pros

We love how easy this product was to roll out to our families and our staff. They very quickly got the hang of it. We use it daily and absolutely love it. It has truly transformed the way that we manage our center. We've had minimal issues with it. We looked at other programs and this was the only one that we found to be worth the cost.

Cons

It can sometimes be difficult to get in touch with customer's service. The app has went down sometimes at difficult times.

Procare allows me to "work smart and not hard." I have used this software almost ten years and this company is constantly improving- great product! I have referred several other Daycare Providers to this program and it has been a great benefit to them as well. I must comment that I am especially grateful that I was able to start small and move into more aspects of this software as I grew- there was and is always another "peice" to move into as the business grows.

Pros

Procare has been a great benefit to me as an Administrator of a Small Business. Record keeping is awesome. It is user friendly to the parents and my staff to include: time clock and registering children in and out daily. It has been very helpful to me especially with Tuition Express which allows parents to pay with a credit card, bank draft and more. Options for clients is always a "PLUS". Generating and printing reports is a whiz. I especially being able to complete my own payroll. Great Software!

Cons

I cant think of anything that I dislike about this software at present.

I chose Procare because it is "person and family friendly." I LOVE the fact that I can call or email for Tech Support and ALWAYS get a response to help. That speaks volumes!!!!!

### "KC Procare review"

I have enjoyed using Procare Software. It simplifies check in/check out. It saves me lots of time so I do not have to calculate charges and there are fewer errors.

Pros

Check in/check out is easy to do for each group. It saves me lots of time so I do not have to calculate charges. Parents can see what they owe every time they log in. I can send statements easily.

Cons

The home screen on the Procare checkin does not tell you to touch the box to change from check in to check out and vice versa. Some check out persons who do not use Procare frequently forget this step. We use the fingerprint option and for certain persons the reader sometimes works for those persons and sometimes does not. I would like for families that have withdrawn to be in another font or indicated somehow on the accounts column. I have not used the MyProcare portion of the program because in order to get all the information that is required by the State of Kentucky in printed form would require too many pages printed off per child so I have stuck with my condensed registration form.

Procare had the features that I needed and I did not have to pay for features that I would not use.

Cons

### "How did our business survive without Procare?"

The biggest problem solved was everything was done by hand. The previous director entered everything into a ledger. Tuition AND payroll. I came from a center that had been using Procare all along and this center was twice the size of the previous center. I purchased Procare a few months later and life became so much easier. I've now purchased Tuition Express and again, life is good. Over 70% of my families jumped on board. Again saving time by not having to make and prepare so many deposits to the bank.

Pros

Once you learn the system, it's a breeze. However, having customer support a phone call away is necessary. Your customer support staff are awesome. They never talk to me like I should know this by now and they are very friendly! Procare has saved me hours of tedious work when it comes to gathering information for reporting to our board.

Cons

I'd like to have you tweak a few things. For instance, no one has a home phone anymore, so I have to change the designation to cell when I'm entering new families. Also, for the middle initial the old Procare system was an automatic capital letter. Small stuff, but I live for simplification. I would love a customer suggestion box so when I come across these things, I can submit it.

I love this program. I can come to one location and track attendance, meals, employee time cards, send message to parent about their child's daily activities and bill my parents weekly or monthly with ease. Kinderlime has cut my work load significantly.

Pros

Kinderlime software is very user friendly and does not require a great amount of time to set up. It is a one stop software program. Parents are able to sign their children in with a pin or signature. No more forgetting to pay and late fee. Parents can pay their tuition from the ease of the home computer. Kinderlime is very affordable for smaller child care facility. This program along has impressed parents and help me gain students.

Cons

I don't have a problem with this software. I have a home daycare and a tutorial session I offer on the weekends and Kinderlime allows me to create different classes for each group I work with. We even use it for Children's church sign in.
