Pros It has definitely made our communication with parents seamless. It has also cut down drastically on late or unpaid fees! Cons I wish that parents could communicate with each other on the app and that there was a way to search records by certain words. I had used Procare for many years and also recommended it to several other centers. I have since integrated some of my business over to another service, but keep some with Procare. I use both programs for different reasons. Pros When I used the system on a more regular basis, I always used the payment logging for parents. The end of year reports were also easy to use. Cons The deletion of previous children was complicated. Too many steps to go through. July 24, 2023 5.0 I have been very pleased with Procare and when asked what system we use I recommend it each time. Pros I enjoy that I am able to pull a variety of reports from Procare. I can check my enrollment, my finances, and shot records all in one place. Cons When Procare does crash it can make things difficult. Batch check in or check out is easy. Pros I really like the ease of communicating with parents with the app. They will receive notifications right away. Also everything for a student is in one central location. Cons I do not like the fact when you accidentally load something into a child's folder you cannot remove this item. Customer service was great when we were thinking of purchasing the system but once we purchased the system customer service declined. August 3, 2021 5.0 I have used ProCare for 15+ years and have been so impressed with the product. I have referred this software to other centers over any other software. Pros I love how user friendly this product is! I have used other child care management software that were difficult to utilize and lacked many features that ProCare provides. I am particularly impressed with the way in which ProCare has kept up with current technology and made upgrades such as the phone app. Cons Can't say there are any cons to this product except maybe the price. You do pay a little more for this software compared to others, however, the old saying you get what you pay for rings true with this product! it is top notch! Owner Accounting Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Horrible Customer Service" December 9, 2019 3.0 My overall experience has been a pain from the very beginning. A woman named April was supposed to walk me through set up of tuition express...Friday got the call. When I returned the call her contact # was changed and she was not there anymore. That was my first sign that Procare has changed A LOT in the past few years. Pros I had used Procare software since 1999 and loved it so much that I installed it in 9 different schools. Their growth has damaged their service. Before, I felt valued as a customer for years with service agents that reached out to you and gladly helped you through issues over the phone. However; I feel that when I was using their program with a huge company, I got better service. If you are a couple of privately owned schools...they couldn't really care about you, your business, your payroll, your taxes etc. Cons When I reached out for help, I was stalled with emails that were never followed up. When you call in to tech support, you are on hold for at least 30 min (mostly, 45 min) only to get to the 2nd in que to be cut off and sent to a voicemail...after waiting for so long. TWICE. It's one thing when you have 1 or 2 bumps with a company but this is ridiculous. I am having to switch back to my previous software and deal with accounting & family billing issues. Tghe do not care about your time which is in short supply when you own a child care. BEWARE. I am so disappointed (and on the hook with closed modules, they somehow cannot open) that I am considering making 'PROCARE STINKS" t-shirts for national & state conferences! However, I feel that entering all the child information could be a more streamlined process. When entering a new child, I have to remember to click in each portion of the record to enter all the information. It would be nice to have a wizard tool to bring you through each part seamlessly. There are many ways of reporting information, just not always how I would like to compile it. Pros Food Program Module. All in all I am happy with most of Procare's abilities within how it is programmed to be used. There are just lots of ways to make it even better for the end user. Cons Reporting options are not as diverse as I would like and I would like to be able to create my own reports based on needed information. There are a couple of modules that we would love to add but they are cost prohibitive for our center because it is so small (licensed for 66). I can't use the menu builder because there is not enough space to view the meals we serve. I have to use another program to do our menu. There is a higher margin of error when entering in a new child because you have to hop all over the place to enter information where it needs to go. Cons The app does not have the same functions as the online version. You cannot delete or merge students that have been added incorrectly. You cannot individually upload documents related to students or delete them. Cons My least favorite feature is that it logs me out too quickly when not in use. I wish it could be about 20 minutes before logging you out automatically. Since I purchased this software I should have the CHOICE OF ACCEPTING THESE FEATURES. If not you should offer a means to shut them off if I find no value with them Pros Tracking, enrollment. There isn't that much good that I can say about this version, my previous version served us well and was totally more user friendly. Cons This version is not user friendly, very complicated to use compared to my first version. Adding the Procare Connect and the Childcare App syncs our information, which made the transition very simple. The addition was inexpensive compared to other apps I had looked into. We can control what different users can access. The added communication features are very useful to our program. Cons When we have technology or connection difficulties. It is difficult to base your operations on technology when it goes down. Customer service has helped with providing solutions, but when the problems begin early in the morning, the time difference can slow down response time. The "pros" outweigh the "cons". It has simplified some things for us and this is major. Pros We had to change the way we were doing drop off/pick up since parents were not allowed in our building due to Covid. We were able to do carpool for both and parents were able to sign their children in and out with ease. Cons We would occasionally experience a glitch in the system or internet outage which prevented us from having parents sign their children in and out electronically. We would have to resort to paper and pen and then feed the information into the program once it was up and running. This was very time consuming, especially when you had other tasks to take care of. When I was introduced to it, only a few pieces were being utilized but it is capable of so much more. Time prevents me from digging deeper into the other functions, but I really believe it could consolidate many other processes we do outside of Procare. I think the family accounts are easy to manage in procare. I really like how procare and tuition express work together, and make payment super easy to manage. Cons There are some certain things that don't feed through (ie: if a child is changed to a different classroom on their account it doesn't feed through to the billing), but I'm sure if I brought them up to procare they would work on getting that connection made.
