Cons I can't set up for families to pay the credit card fee on their own (they pay us all of it and then we pay procare), we also aren't able to add students with a start date in the near future as it will show up as the student is absent from the day we add the student on. Support says to send them suggestions but doesn't seem to really act on it. Director of Finance Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Solid Database, Needs some modern update" May 10, 2019 4.0 I have used procare as our main database for around 6 years and overall it has done a good job meeting our needs. The up front costs for the modules can be a bit steep, but this is matched by more reasonable monthly hosting costs, making it cheaper overall than many competitors who bill per child. If I was starting from scratch I may chose a more modern software suite with more mobility, but having invested in procare I do not think there is any need to switch any time soon. Pros The database is easy to navigate and puts all the information we need in easy to find places. Billing is simple and very customizable. Payment processing is quick, easy, and reasonably priced. The reports are easy to run and they get me the information I need in a fairly concise way. Cons The software is 100% desktop only. There is no real mobile app and even the check in/out software requires a full copy of windows, I can't run it on android tablets. There is a web based app to review certain things but it is clumsy to access and the reports are limited. I am hoping they will release a proper fully functional IOS/android app to match their many competitors. Review Source Stephanie N. Pros Procare does a great job at helping organize your business from all the kids and families you have enrolled, to helping you with billing. There are so many tools within the program that help you efficiently run your day to day tasks. Through Procare we were also able to track attendance by allowing our parents to check the children in and out, which was very helpful. Cons It can be a very complicated system and I often needed help through customer support. The program would malfunction or go through upgrades and that was very frustrating when trying to run a business. Easy to use, always worked and never crashed. Pros I'm so glad that the app is easy to use and I can see updates on my Children. The images lows quickly and I am also able to download those and the movies. That is great to feel like being a part of a young child day who may not can say everything they did. Billing, attendance, employee hours, etc. is all in one place. So simple!!! Pros I love how there are always updates and new features!!! I've been using KinderLime since 2012 and I loved it then, but I SuperLove it now!!! So many things that make my job as a teacher, director and owner SO MUCH faster & easier. I love the intuitive of the app and website. Very simple learning curve - just download and go!!! I'm made several suggestions for improvements over the years and most of my requests have been added features shortly after, so I know they listen to their customers and care what we think!!! When another provider asks about software, I always recommend KinderLime. Cons So far, it doesn't track employee hours on the app, so I have to log into the computer to see if someone is approaching their hours for the week and that is not always convenient when you're making a quick decision about who to let go early. I used another book-keeping software program to track invoices, but I manually input data into a desktop program. I would have to create time-sheets each week for students to sign-in/out, manually log and record meals and activities. Now I can do all of that at the touch of a button or select from a pull-down list. If there is a need that isn't offered I can submit a request and 100% of my suggestions have been added to streamline my activities even more. I couldn't be happier! Pros We converted our child care management system into this all-in-one program a little over a year ago and we couldn't be happier. All students, all activities, all staff, including billing are at my finger-tips! This program has cut down on my management time significantly because all features are readily available without having to navigate to another browser or program. Time-savings and thoroughness is a priority and our parents love the features of online payments and seeing 'real-time' activities their child is involved in. Another great feature is the customer service! I cannot say enough about the promptness of Kinderlime's customer service. This is very important! Cons I do not have any concerns at this time. Cons Because I don't have accounting experience, I had to work pretty hard at the expenses and ledger side. It's a different approach than Quickbooks. However, it did not take long to learn it and it seems easy now. Reason for choosing Procare Solutions Familiarity with product at previous center. Had all of the features I needed for a daycare ministry that was still using paper only! Pros We love the simplicity of the application, the reporting and how simple and easy payment processing is with Procare. However, I believe many of their options are outdated. I get the impression that Procare doesn't always know what their users want. Pros Easy to enter, sort, filter information. Makes accepting credit cards and running automatic payments fairly simple. Cons \-It would be great if reports were more customizable and if you were able to save more than one set of filters for reports -Online accounts for Tuition Express do not update automatically, and payment processing is usually a day behind due to east/west coast differences, which is extremely confusing for payments -With so many family dynamics, it should be easier to offer separate ledger cards for students even with the same payers -Procare does not warn you when it is not connected. You appear to be online and then when trying to do something (like take a payment) you are informed that you are not connected. It takes a good 3-5 minutes to restart the program (there is no option to simply reconnect) which is frustrating when you have a parent waiting. Review Source CC Cindinett C. I do not have to take payments, or post them since it is done automatically. Pros I like how easy is to do roll call sheets as well as print the authorized emergency/pick up list for the teachers to have in case of emergencies. July 5, 2019 5.0 Exceptional customer service! Anytime, I can't figure something out or if I mess something up, I know that the staff with promptly and kindly help me. No recorded voice message, just real live people. This is ProCare's strongest feature! Pros ProCare is the heartbeat of managing our center. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have ProCare. Everything from managing our parent accounts to knowing who is at our center is all at a fingertips reach. Any time I need a report on something I simply click a few buttons. There are so many features in ProCare that after 12 years, I still don't know all of them. Cons In any software program there will always be better and easier ways to pull up a report or put information into the system. What I like about ProCare is that they are always open to hearing what the user needs and they are constantly making the program easier to use. I wish that ProCare would make it easier to take and put in parent pictures. This is a time consuming process that could be streamlined with a procare camera connected straight to the program. Pros I enjoyed that when I had a question the support team was very helpful. The wait time was a bit long, but the service was helpful. Cons I have not spent enough time getting to know the system.
