It has provided efficiency with billing, attendance tracking, reports, and overall program operations. I love the meal tracking, formula billing, and attendance tracker features. May 21, 2019 5.0 Procare is easy to learn and use and it covers everything you need or want to run a daycare. Pros The customer service at Procare is absolutely the best! Every time I have needed to contact them they are friendly, knowledgeable and easy to contact. The software is easy to learn and it covers everything a daycare needs to run the business. Data entry is also pretty easy and straight forward. Pros It is a pretty easy to navigate program. I'm still learning to use options I didn't realize where available. Their customer support is very good. They also have other equipment that is compatible, like keypads for gates and the Tuition Express module for payments. Cons Cost, the program is expensive and it does have monthly fees. Card processing is expensive. I love how you can access the info on almost any computer. Pros \-Strong Reports with times, enrollment etc. Cons \-Still lacks customs reports. I still have to wiggle my way certain reports. -I wish you didn't have to download the actual software to use procare. Maybe cloud based would be nice. Reason for choosing Procare Solutions sounded good. It sounded like the procare was made JUST for daycares. its what we needed to become better. I couldn’t imagine doing my job without this software. We’ve been using it since 1999. We Absolutely love this software!!!! Pros I love how easy it is to navigate through the software to find info that you need or require. The reports are amazing to run. It makes my job so much more easier because of all the features it has. Cons Honestly there’s not much to complain about. I love when updates come & it makes input even more easier than before. You can store all information related to child care in this software. It makes reporting easy and convenient. Cons I don't know of anything that I like least. The entire function of the school runs so much better while using Procare. And the Cloud service is a huge plus. Pros The user-friendly nature of the software has been incredible. It is easy enough to figure out if needed, but every question is at your fingertips within the software help. During the school months when busses arrive it's convenient to have the ability to check in the children all at once when they get off the bus. There¿s also a web-based app that lets you check in individual children based on the name of the drop-off person (such as the parent or bus driver), and we have another tool in development that will support batch check-in from a tablet. I have been using it for preschool and summer camp and it has been a God send! Cons I really have no complaints it satisfies all our needs. Cons It is NOT user-friendly. I used to use another childcare based software (for Accounts Receivable) along with Quickbooks (for Accounts Payable) and even though it was a pain to use 2 software programs, it was still easier to learn. Director Education Management Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Procare Tuition Express Review" July 7, 2016 5.0 I am the director of a childcare/preschool/before & after school care program with approx. 260 children on our campus each day. We started using TE to collect our tuition/fees about 4.5 months ago and it has been a huge asset. We did not offer a choice to our families, their only form of payment has to be through a bank account, credit card or debit card. They must have one of the three on file. We were very worried about this. We were thrilled with the overall response and positive results. Customer service has been fabulous, especially Benji. I felt like we drove them crazy with questions both before and after we started the program. We have no regrets. It saves our directors much time with the auto payments and having the payments directly applied to the family accounts. What used to take each director hours each week, now only takes minutes. It is by far one of the best decisions we have ever made for our program. Pros The time that it saves our staff, the time it saves running to the bank and paperwork for multiple deposits. The convenience for the families and our staff. The dependability of receiving payments more consistently. It forces families to make childcare a priority. Cons It can be confusing reconciling with our accountant at the end of the month because our reports at month end do not always align exactly with our bank statement. Often tweaking needs to be done and dealing with bank account insufficient fund transactions can be confusing as well. Review Source JB Jeff B. When Procare started to push cloud we got on cloud. That was a big mistake. I read and I was told that I would be provided with a copy of my file so I can provide the information to parents. I sold the center 10/23/2020 and terminated cloud in March 2021. I have been in contact with Procare and they are not able to provide me with the back up information of the center. We use several of their offered options and we have found all of them to be very helpful. Procare has revolutionized our billing and receiving of payments from families. We used to have thousands of dollars a year out of pocket for families who didn't pay - we no longer have that problem! Cons I don't really have a negative thing to say about Procare. We were looking for a cloud-based program that included all aspects of childcare management and did not break the bank. Many other program had very high monthly user fees, particularly on automated tuition processing. ProCare checked all the boxes, except compatibility with Mac/Safari, however that was ultimately resolved by installing Parallels on our computers. Pros ProCare provides individual modules so you can purchase exactly what you need for your program. I prefer to purchase the software rather than face a lifetime of monthly usage charges as many companies require. ProCare has thought of nearly everything needed, but is also flexible in terms of designing individual reports. Cons Because I'm not a computer tech type, customization and/or setting up or changing system items is not always intuitive for me. It sometimes takes a bit of time and effort to figure things out. Pros I love that it is so flexible. I have a preschool that has grown into a full daycare. and we have a kind of an "a la cart" experience for families and this is not cookie-cutter software.
