If you have questions, they are quick to respond and help. The software has a "very clean" and updated look, is very functional, and I don't believe there is any other software for the value they offer. Pros Very easy to use from the beginning. Has a lot of great features that make day to day operations a breeze. Is a super value. Their support team quickly responds to questions. Cons some of the reports... I like to be able to cross reference check numbers/invoice numbers especially on customer statements. It is super easy to train new staff as ProCare provides webinars and videos to assist with the training process. Pros We love the curbside check-in feature of the ProCare Connect software and the ability to message and receive messages from parents using the ProCare Connect app. Cons The incident report needs to be tweaked. You can look at your dashboard to see what money is still owed at any given time. It runs a million reports to use for whatever you need. You can now link it to parent daily classroom reports as well. Pros It is easy to use and has all the modules you need to run your business. Cons If I could change one thing it would be to clear out old accounts that you no longer use in Agency posting. As I mentioned above, this program offers a variety of possiblities, no need to have different programs running when you could have it all in one. Procare is easy to use and offers many options to meet the needs of a child care facility. Pros Procare has been moving forward in the short time we have been using their system. They offer several program options. You can choose just the basics or add agency accounting, attendance tracker, meal tracker, employee data, payroll, expenses and ledger modules. These features allow you to have the information you need in just a few clicks of your mouse. With Tuition Express the payments are posted directly to each account. Parents have the option of making payments at the school, online or setting up automatic payments. The Attendance tracker module will store the attendance and parent signatures. No need to store paper and search through months of paper work. The dashboard shows how many children are in each class at a glance, no more head counts. Their website offers video tutorials, a step by step process of how to use the program. They also offer webinars or customer service via phone. What I outlined above is just a tiny fraction of what Procare offers. Cons I would like to see a report card module being added for school age students. I understand that this program is geared towards childcare, but it offers so much that I believe this is the only thing missing to make this program complete for chld care or school age students. Very user-friendly. Cons We don't like how the names won't pop up on our main computer in the office, that is separate from the check-in station. We have a fairly big school, and it's hard to memorize each child's name. With Child Care Manager, they offered a feature where the child's name popped up on our computer screen whenever they were 'checked in'. We also don't like how the child's name is really small on the check-in station screen. The parent's name is big, which we like, but it's often hard to read the child's name. I manually print the attendance individually to find out if there is a late pick-up. Also, in the online portal, Most of our families use their receipt for FSA reimbursement. Data entry is also pretty easy and straight forward. Pros It is a pretty easy to navigate program. I'm still learning to use options I didn't realize where available. Their customer support is very good. They also have other equipment that is compatible, like keypads for gates and the Tuition Express module for payments. I still have to wiggle my way certain reports. -I wish you didn't have to download the actual software to use procare. Maybe cloud based would be nice. I couldn’t imagine doing my job without this software. We’ve been using it since 1999. We Absolutely love this software!!!! Pros I love how easy it is to navigate through the software to find info that you need or require. The reports are amazing to run. It makes my job so much more easier because of all the features it has. Cons Honestly there’s not much to complain about. I love when updates come & it makes input even more easier than before. The entire function of the school runs so much better while using Procare. And the Cloud service is a huge plus. Pros The user-friendly nature of the software has been incredible. It is easy enough to figure out if needed, but every question is at your fingertips within the software help. There¿s also a web-based app that lets you check in individual children based on the name of the drop-off person (such as the parent or bus driver), and we have another tool in development that will support batch check-in from a tablet. Cons It is NOT user-friendly. I used to use another childcare based software (for Accounts Receivable) along with Quickbooks (for Accounts Payable) and even though it was a pain to use 2 software programs, it was still easier to learn. Director Education Management Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Procare Tuition Express Review" July 7, 2016 5.0 I am the director of a childcare/preschool/before & after school care program with approx. 260 children on our campus each day. We started using TE to collect our tuition/fees about 4.5 months ago and it has been a huge asset. We did not offer a choice to our families, their only form of payment has to be through a bank account, credit card or debit card. They must have one of the three on file. We were very worried about this. We were thrilled with the overall response and positive results. Customer service has been fabulous, especially Benji. I felt like we drove them crazy with questions both before and after we started the program. We have no regrets. It saves our directors much time with the auto payments and having the payments directly applied to the family accounts. What used to take each director hours each week, now only takes minutes. It is by far one of the best decisions we have ever made for our program. Pros The time that it saves our staff, the time it saves running to the bank and paperwork for multiple deposits. The convenience for the families and our staff. The dependability of receiving payments more consistently. It forces families to make childcare a priority. Cons It can be confusing reconciling with our accountant at the end of the month because our reports at month end do not always align exactly with our bank statement. Often tweaking needs to be done and dealing with bank account insufficient fund transactions can be confusing as well. Review Source JB Jeff B.
