It does the job but has a steep learning curve, it is not very user-friendly

Pros

It is very versatile and you are able to get customized reports on almost anything that is stored in Procare.

Cons

There is no automation and you often have to dig to get the reports you need. Each time you need a report you have to start over selecting your parameters. There is a save settings feature but not enough of the settings are able to be saved

Less time adding up Hours

Pros

That I can see all in info from my lap top and that if a parent is singing out I can access info for another parent that it adds up hours used so I don't have to do it how fast it takes to sign in 75 students and that I can send messages to parents . The parent love the notice that there child is in and or signed out of kids club.Its just so easy and if I have Problems the support is fast and formable

Cons

I wish they had a billing system that charge prepaid to parents .This is how we have operated our program. Other than that I can't really think of anything I would do different

Pros

ProCare Solution is very user friendly and has real time functionalities such as text messaging and daily updates which makes it super easier to keep in touch with the school

Cons

I wish this software allowed for parents to submit photos to the daycare providers and I wish it was no service fee to paying with electronic checking. However, if this is a must please include this on the receipt for tax purpose.

Pros

This program allows our parents to easily see their balances, allows real time attendance tracking, and helps with the time sheets at the end of the week. It has combined several things that we had operating separately.

Cons

At times there can be a somethings that don't connect the way you want them too but they have made several upgrades and changes since we first started making it easier with each change.

We primarily use Procare for billing and attendance at our child care center. It has been a great program for our center and the parents are pleased as well.

Pros

Procare gives you a platform to complete your scheduling, billing, tracking, reporting, and attendance. The system has multiple extensions you can purchase to grow with your company and your needs.

Cons

Each extension costs extra and you need the cloud before you can use some of the others.

I can do my monthly billing faster with some of the features that they offer. I can track children's allergies, and make an allergy report straight from procare.

Pros

I like that kids report is linked to procare. I like the formula billing to make it easier to bill families by the hour.

Cons

I hate that procare crashes a lot. I wish I could delete rooms we are no longer using for some reason it will not let me do this so I had to just rename them.

Pros

I like the reports that it can generate. I also love tuition express, It has been the most beneficial component of our overall operation.

Cons

the program is not intuitive, salesperson only interested in sale misrepresented product rep was rude blaming me and talking down to me. as if I should have known better. when the products will not do what was advertised.

Overall, it has been a good program. I wish the reports were a bit more customizable or easy to find. I have found some very helpful reports by accident. The titles are not quite as intuitive as I would think. I like having everything in one place.

Pros

ProCare has most everything available in one program. Most preschool programs I have looked at are missing the accounting portion which means double entries.

Cons

It really needs to run on a Mac operating system!!!

Parents can check in and out easily. in the morning and afternoon

Cons

The cards don't always work, the card readers don't always work, we sometimes have to reboot several times in the morning to get it to work.

We use it for our Center. It is great and our parents love it! It is a great way for parents to sign their child in and out each day as well. They love being updated with what we are eating and activities we are doing throughout our week. Plus, we can use the messages to contact them in a professional manner.

Pros

I love that I can add goals and objectives to each child's portfolio and share pictures with parents throughout the day. I also love being able to create newsletters and lesson plans! The customer service is phenomenal!

Cons

You can not print the newsletters. It would be nice so I can put in the child's folder each week.

Sandbox Saves more time than any of the childcare manager programs we have used over the past 12 years.

Pros

Children's scheduling and parent ability to schedule vacation days. This is life changing for us!

Cons

Would LOVE for parents to be able to add days to their child's schedule in the portal.

Reason for choosing Procare Solutions

Sandbox is the perfect mix for us of being automated yet giving us control. We are not paying for a lot of features that we didn't need that other programs offer.

Very good experience. Customer Service is pretty good, some times have to wait a lengthy time to reach someone.

Pros

Keeps track of EVERYTHING in one place! I can easily see who is here, what time they arrived, leave notes about staff, keep track of performance issues and make notes on children.

Cons

It's difficult sometimes to find a report giving me what information I am looking for without clicking on many other reports first

There's definitely a benefit to this program add the tools need to successfully track and monitor students. When helping parents feel secure.

Pros

It yo have and question or comment about the program all you have to do it send them an email and within 24 hrs someone will call you and work you through it step by step.

Cons

Although it really user friendly, it relies heavy on parent participates. Thus, if a parent is having trouble they an't the one's that can contact the Procare customer service.

As to parents, we usually find it's most productive to have them contact you (their provider) first, since you're their main point of contact. ### "Streamlines Attendance & Tracking Various Items"

Pros

This software collects a ton of data in one place. I am able to track numerous custom items and can easily track due dates. It saves me a ton of time from manually calculating hours and looking up various information that I have added to the system.

Cons

I wish that it integrated with meal tracking software to auto-populate into the CACFP required program. We still have to do double entry for that.

Pros

it is accurate check in and out times and billing is faster with this program

Cons

recently the program has been shutting down or taking a long time to load up in the morning people have been saying it isnt reading their prints and just not signing their child in

Pros

Procare has great software support and assistance. I have used this product for many years and have had very few complaints if any. It meets all our program's needs.

Procare can be a little confusing at times and I have to review the manual or go to online tutorials for help.

The software if good for small childcare businesses. Exceptional attendance tracker and logging in and out system with the door module. Online reports from mobile device are lack luster for sure. There are only a couple handful of reports for the mobile devices.

Pros

Tuition express module for easy payments.

Cons

Expenses & Ledger module- unusable for those that have run on a deeper level system previously such as Quickbooks. Bought module and cannot use it.

It can be a bit confusing to use at first but if understand how it works and how to use all the features it definitely saves time.

Pros

I used this software for billing when I was the director of a daycare center. Once you get the hang of it it was very convenient.

Cons

It is a bit pricey, I wish we could afford to use some of the other features that it offered but it was not in our budget.

We use the Procare system every day. We recently added the online pay option which has changed how our parents pay and has increased our ability to get payments coming in and deposited quickly.

Pros

Procare is easy to set up and use with no additional equipment. The software is easy to navigate and offers many opportunities to streamline billing and payments.

Cons

Procare is a little pricey as your needs grow.

Love this system! Would highly recommend.

Pros

Lots of features to communicate with parents, handle collections, track attendance, create reports etc.

Cons

Need better individual email function. When you send a statement, it doesn’t automatically populate the parents email address so you have to copy it before hand. I like to send individual versus bulk collection letters so I can tailor it to each parent.
