Great in terms of helping us service our clients. However I think LinkedIn needs to pay attention to the small business owners too and understand there needs to be a break in helping them.

Pros

This is extremely useful for the high use recruiter. This tool is best spent on someone who is proactively recruiting. If you have a position you have lots of responses for a job posting, maybe think twice.

Cons

COST, and LinkedIn is tough. Once you sign up for all the services you are in it. It was hard to be flexible as we are a small business.

LinkedIn Recruiter is a solid tool for day-to-day recruiting and collaboration, and it definitely helps boost candidate engagement. However, the cost and InMail limits make it difficult to scale effectively, especially for smaller recruiting teams.

Pros

LinkedIn Recruiter is very easy to use and fits naturally into a recruiter’s workflow. You can manage candidate pipelines, create different projects, and leave notes, which makes collaboration across teams much smoother. Moving candidates between projects is simple, and integrations with other tools plus the ability to connect directly to job postings make the process even more efficient. From a sourcing perspective, the biggest advantage is that candidates tend to reply more on LinkedIn than through cold emails, as communication via InMails feels more legitimate and trustworthy.

Cons

The main drawbacks are the limitations and cost. InMail credits are very restricted and run out quickly, and accessing the full LinkedIn talent pool is prohibitively expensive for smaller companies. For the price, the restrictions on outreach and search capabilities feel too limiting.

Me, and my colleagues, love using LinkedIn Recruiter. It is very easy to use, simply laid out, and convenient. I find a couple of people every month through it, though it does still have less people using it than Seek (AU/NZ recruitment platform), and there are very, very minor niggles here and there, but just love the look of it and the filters are a joy to use.

Pros

Very good filters for narrowing down candidate searches. Recommendations based on current search are relevant and useful. Integration with our CRM system (Workable) is good, meaning I can see when someone has already applied to a position within our company and what the outcome of that was, for example. Can send mass emails from within the app but with simple ways to 'personalise' them. Simple to get through a lot of people, quickly. Get your search narrowed down and then you can click to the right to just go through each (this cannot be done in Seek, for example). Lots of options of where to shortlist people (pipeline), not just 'shortlist' but different categories of that, for example 'Future Prospect', 'Do not contact' etc. Makes it very easy to organise how you'd like to. Messages sent when a shortlisted person becomes available for work, very handy to catch people quickly when they are actively looking.

Cons

LinkedIn still has less people utilising it than Seek, so narrower range of people you can access. The AI automated email, when contacting candidates, is a little obtrusive. It may be good but I prefer to send my own messages, and you have to be very careful that a) it is YOUR message that you are sending, and b) that it has gone to all the people and not just one. I made errors in both at some stage and although careful now, I can see why those errors occurred. Not super clear and can be an issue for recruiters in a rush.

Overall, LinkedIn Recruiter has proved itself to be a sophisticated, streamlined, and well maintained platform. They provide a simplified method to pipelining candidates from sourcing to hiring.

Pros

LinkedIn's Recruiter applications far surpass many other mainstream recruiting tools in the way of capability additions to our recruitment process and overall customer support throughout the learning curves we faces during the implementation of LinkedIn Recruiter. There is a high level hiring process that can be achieved with the utilization of Recruiter, as well as a plethora of qualified, engages candidates that can be sourced and located with the use of the filtering features offered, these features are not like any other I have seen within other recruitment platforms.

Cons

LinkedIn Recruiter could certainly make some improvements within the more "cold" forms of outreach. I find that many candidates with the "open to work" status are often LinkedIn profiles that are inactive, which heeds a lack of response, and messages are limited depending on your payment plan with LinkedIn.

Great! Very helpful customer service and many valuable interviews have come out of our subscription so far.

Pros

Very knowledgeable account managers to assist with searching for the perfect "unicorn" candidates. My organization has been searching for Executive Chefs and General Managers of fine-dining restaurants which is a really unique space to recruit in. LinkedIn Recruiter has helped me narrow down candidates by cuisine, previous restaurants, and other important features. It was easy to learn and remains easy to maintain.

Cons

The recruiter seats which allow you to do custom searches and reach out to candidates are the most expensive feature. In order to collaborate, you need everyone involved in recruitment to have a recruiter seat which was not in our budget.

Everyday use tool for my kind of job, it helps me identify prospects for the different projects I work on.

Pros

Customizable searching features and different fields, it suggests new search ideas according to what you're looking for, you can use the fields they provide or build a boolean string, you'll get lots of results. I've been using this tool since 2019, and it's been improving a lot ever since.

Cons

The AI feature isn't the best, I rarely get a good profile when I'm searching for different profiles using AI.

LinkedIn is a necessity for any Recruiter serious about reaching hard to fill candidates. Working in the tech sector it is a like a bible of candidates. It is relatively easy to use.

Cons

The customer support is very poor. I recently had a serious data breach where someone accesed my account and sent hundreds of messages out. The Trust and Safety team were a disaster to work with and never removed the messages.

Pros

There are a lot of things I like about this software! I can easily organize candidate profiles using the "projects" feature. I can also share those projects with my team! Messaging using the software is also fast and easy because you can create and save templates.

Cons

There are times when the location feature is not accurate. As a user/recruiter, I would be pleased if they could improve that aspect. Adding "location range" would be more helpful so that recruiters will no longer input the cities manually.

Pros

LinkedIn recruiter is easy to use, very intuitive and let you do different things in terms of candidate management. You can source people, save their profiles in different projects, make templates and contact them and also set up appointments thanks to the integration you can do with your calendar!

It's really expensive (it worth it) if you don't belong to a company that could pay for it.
