“That alignment speeds up calibration and reduces friction. If I compress it, LinkedIn Recruiter is the closest thing to a default infra layer for hiring.“

### "Good, but could be better"

August 26, 2025

4.0

good, however it can at times be quite laggy and the inmail system whilst refined recently still isn't the best.

Pros

access to candidates no where else on the market, with options to inmail and speak to them directly and confidentially.

Cons

it's clunky at times, quite slow and AI tool isn't worth using (yet). I find the inmail system useful for reaching the people i need but not very intuitive when it comes to finding messages.

### "Powerful sourcing tool with an unmatched candidate database"

March 27, 2026

4.0

We use LinkedIn Recruiter across our hiring team for everything from sourcing candidates through to managing pipelines and coordinating outreach. The sheer size of the candidate database is what sets it apart, it's hard to find another platform that gives you access to this volume of professionals in one place. It works well as a central hub for collaborative hiring, though there are areas that still leave room for improvement.

Pros

The standout feature is undeniably the candidate database, the reach is unmatched and makes sourcing for a wide variety of roles much more achievable. The platform also works well for team collaboration, allowing multiple recruiters to work on the same pipeline without things getting disorganised. InMail outreach and candidate management are built into the one workflow, which keeps everything centralised and easy to track.

Cons

The cost is a significant consideration. LinkedIn Recruiter is a premium investment and can be hard to justify for smaller hiring volumes. InMail response rates can also be inconsistent, and the search filters, while broad, sometimes require a fair bit of refinement to surface the most relevant candidates. A deeper ATS integration would also go a long way in streamlining the end-to-end hiring process.

### "Strong candidate engagement, easy to use for recruiters but costly"

August 29, 2025

3.0

LinkedIn Recruiter is a solid tool for day-to-day recruiting and collaboration, and it definitely helps boost candidate engagement. However, the cost and InMail limits make it difficult to scale effectively, especially for smaller recruiting teams.

Pros

LinkedIn Recruiter is very easy to use and fits naturally into a recruiter’s workflow. You can manage candidate pipelines, create different projects, and leave notes, which makes collaboration across teams much smoother. Moving candidates between projects is simple, and integrations with other tools plus the ability to connect directly to job postings make the process even more efficient. From a sourcing perspective, the biggest advantage is that candidates tend to reply more on LinkedIn than through cold emails, as communication via InMails feels more legitimate and trustworthy.

Cons

The main drawbacks are the limitations and cost. InMail credits are very restricted and run out quickly, and accessing the full LinkedIn talent pool is prohibitively expensive for smaller companies. For the price, the restrictions on outreach and search capabilities feel too limiting.

### "Needed but Tough"

December 4, 2025

4.0

Great in terms of helping us service our clients. However I think LinkedIn needs to pay attention to the small business owners too and understand there needs to be a break in helping them.

Pros

This is extremely useful for the high use recruiter. This tool is best spent on someone who is proactively recruiting. If you have a position you have lots of responses for a job posting, maybe think twice.

Cons

COST, and LinkedIn is tough. Once you sign up for all the services you are in it. It was hard to be flexible as we are a small business.

### "LinkedIn Recruiter Pilot Was a Success!"

April 15, 2026

5.0

It was a seamless experience from beginning to end. We had a great representative who patiently answered all of my questions and helped us get set up. Using this saved us so much time and got us great results. We successfully filled four of our five open positions the first time using it, with an increased number of candidates in our applicant pool.

Cons

The cost was prohibitive for us to continue beyond the pilot. We would be interested in a job slot option without Recruiter. As a small organization, it's hard for us to justify the cost of the tool. Instead we are going the pay per post option and setting a budget. We still had excellent results but it took more time and wasn't as seamless.

### "Finding the "Unicorn" Candidates!"

November 13, 2025

4.0

Great! Very helpful customer service and many valuable interviews have come out of our subscription so far.

Pros

Very knowledgeable account managers to assist with searching for the perfect "unicorn" candidates. My organization has been searching for Executive Chefs and General Managers of fine-dining restaurants which is a really unique space to recruit in. LinkedIn Recruiter has helped me narrow down candidates by cuisine, previous restaurants, and other important features. It was easy to learn and remains easy to maintain.

Cons

The recruiter seats which allow you to do custom searches and reach out to candidates are the most expensive feature. In order to collaborate, you need everyone involved in recruitment to have a recruiter seat which was not in our budget.

### "Cost concern."

April 2, 2026

4.0

The profiles may be outdated or exaggerated, skill and availability are self-reported and outdated too.

Pros

It is one of the most commonly used recruiting platforms for showcasing skills and experience. It allows users to present their professional background instantly and helps recruiters identify highly targeted candidates. In the same way, it also enables job applicants to find roles that closely match their qualifications and career goals.

Cons

The subscription fees are expensive, especially for small companies or individual recruiters, this made hard for right person to reach the suitable company.

### "LinkedIn Review"

Overall, I recommend LinkedIn for any professional roles, I find it less effective for entry level or blue collar positions.

Pros

LinkedIn provides a large talent pool who are actively and not actively looking for employment, but may be open to interview if the offer is right.

Cons

LinkedIn does come with a higher cost and low engagment for specific roles. For my company, it definately is worth is for management roles.

### "Effective but costly."

January 2, 2025

5.0

Good experience, you can learn how to use the system and it helps you to make the most of it.

Pros

You can customize your research, share it with other recruiters, send instant messages to candidates, refine your research, and add keywords. It allows recruiters to see endorsements and recommendations.

Cons

The volume of applications can make it hard to sift through irrelevant profiles. The premium features can be costly for smaller businesses, and despite the broad network, candidate engagement may feel impersonal.

Pros

### "Top-tier Recruiting Tool!"

February 15, 2023

5.0

Overall, my experience with LinkedIn Recruiter is great! This is definitely a must-have recruiting software if you want to reach out to top talents!

Pros

There are a lot of things I like about this software! I can easily organize candidate profiles using the "projects" feature. I can also share those projects with my team! Messaging using the software is also fast and easy because you can create and save templates.

Cons

There are times when the location feature is not accurate. As a user/recruiter, I would be pleased if they could improve that aspect. Adding "location range" would be more helpful so that recruiters will no longer input the cities manually.

Pros

The amount of candidates you can reach out is tremendous vs the standard job boards. There are a huge pool of quality candidates that can you can't even find elsewhere.

Cons

Navigating LinkedIn Recruiter, searching for candidates and creating projects may find it a bit difficult for first time users. Also, there's no way for you to filter candidates based on work permits.

Pros

I had a good experience using the platform, I was able to successfully register my resume, I am satisfied using the platform, it helps me a lot when looking for a new job and to find out about news from my favorite companies.

Cons

Depending on the vacancies, some information is restricted. But other than that the app is perfect.
