Far more effective than a free LinkedIn job post (unfortunately, I’m sure that’s intentional by LinkedIn) Pros LinkedIn Recruiter helped us source high-quality applicants for our open role that a free LinkedIn job post absolutely flopped with. Cons It’s fairly expensive unless you’re using it very often. Also blocks some candidate info based on +3rd degree connection status, which feels a bit counterintuitive for a recruiting tool. Reason for choosing LinkedIn Recruiter Price Switched from [Wellfound](https://www.capterra.com/p/228545/Wellfound/) The AngelList post performed about as poorly as the LinkedIn post. Senior Manager, Global Talent Management Chemicals Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Must be able and willing to invest time to search for passive candidates" December 15, 2021 3.0 Pros If you are able to invest the money for and time to use the full Recruiter license, it does enable you to connect with passive candidates that you would otherwise not be likely to reach. The analytics are also good. Cons You need to purchase a full Recruiter license in order to contact passive candidates outside of your 3rd degree connections and the high cost of that license may make it prohibitive for many organizations. The Recruiter Lite option only enables contacting candidates who are at least a 3rd degree connection, which the recruiter is unlikely to have in many cases. With either Recruiter option, the recruiter must be able and willing to invest considerable time searching for candidates. Review Source GP Giovanna P. Moreover, I got my current job through Linkedin jobs. So its great. Pros It was easy to use, easy to implement, they give you guidance and advice, you have a large pool of people you are showing your job add to. For busy people, it is great that they offer a way to triage them from the start and they show only the best candidates directly so you don't lose time going CV by CV.
