"Not A Package Deal"
Overall: We've used this software since 2003 and it has never been 100%. It's easy enough to find your way around the software and print reports, but there are just some features that do not work properly. The automated billing (my biggest disappointment) has never worked. Even after weeks of tech support in the beginning, they just couldn't get it to work. We even gave them remote access to our computer and software. We finally gave up on that feature, and I have since wasted about a half hour at the beginning of each week billing individual accounts. Our most resent disappointment comes with the key-less entry time clock door release system. Living in FL we have major lightening and lost all the relays in the time clock due to a strike; we called and they happily sold us a new. We've had the biggest run around trying to get help to make this thing work. ET refers us to the manufacturer, the manufacturer to another company, and so on. An endless cycle! After a month of this back and forth (and with the help of a professional security company), we learn they no longer make the door release system and the new models do not have relays in them at all to control our doors. They aren't even familiar with the products they are trying to offer consumers and are quick to pass you off to someone else instead of trying to help resolve your problems. At the end of the day, I would suggest not settling for this product. There are a lot more options out there.
"Shady tech support"
Overall: Emerging Technologies claims to have unlimited tech support for as long as you own the program. NOT TRUE. We bought the program in 2005 and have used min tech support. We have a bug in one parent file and instead of fixing the bug they want us to buy an update. We are using the same computer. Nothing has changed since 2005 and we do not need the added features of an update. All we want is our current program to work properly.
"Started with this"
Overall: PROS = ? This is the program that this center had when I started here 3 years ago. CONS = I quickly started research on this topic and switched to Procare - although Procare is not necessarily the best either it is far better than Office Center was.
