Truly we do not deal with another application that has this level of support. We have seen some great products that we didn't use because of the lack of support. Qbox is great! Pros We have been using Qbox for many years. It is THE solution when you have QuickBooks Desktop clients. Cons There is a separate charge for a folder if you use attachments. Most of our clients do not so it's not a big problem. Training clients to allow Qbox to sync BEFORE closing their laptop. Review Source JH Jeff H. Pros Its a good option for sharing a Quickbooks desktop application. Great system that is easy to use with support available when needed. Cons US dollar pricing. We are based in Canada so the exchange rate takes it from being affordable to expensive. I have needed support but found it solved issues Pros Their support is top rate. I have used chat and phone support multiple times and the associates are quick and knowledgeable. Cons The tool is not always intuitive, which is why I have the need for support. Things like adding sub-folders are a bit tricky. Their product and support are far above the competition in their industry. Pros There are plenty of things I like and appreciate about Qbox. I like that it is basically maintenance free and if I do need help, I have always been able to get support on the phone quickly and get my issue resolved completely. Cons I cannot think of anything at the moment. I suppose if that was all I focused on, I might be able to come up with something. Accounting Manager Accounting Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Qbox is great solution for sharing QuickBooks files" July 14, 2026 5.0 Qbox is easy to use and makes it a lot easier to share files than emailing. I like that it allows multiple people access to the same file. Their support is also really nice, and you get a human most times not awful AI assistance. Pros Qbox is great for people who want to share their QuickBooks files easily. The cost is relatively inexpensive compared to the QBO system and I really prefer the QuickBooks Desktop version better as it's a lot more user friendly and the reports are better. Clients can still run reports if the file is locked which is great too. Cons Only one user at a time can have the file locked. If the file is locked on another machine, no work can be done until the lock is released. Syncing takes time depending on the file size and must be done before you log off. Review Source NB Nicole B. " July 28, 2026 5.0 I've spent most of my career using a different accounting software. I was very happy and relieved to find that Qbox was quite user friendly, even for someone with zero experience. The IT support is probably the best I've ever seen. Pros My absolute favorite thing about Qbox is the customer service. I once had our IT department spend a couple days trying to figure out an issue I was having. Someone else suggested reaching out to Qbox for their IT support and I wished I had done that sooner! They were so knowledgeable and were able to walk me through the steps to fix my issue on my own. What took my IT days to try and resolve was fixed in less than an hour through Qbox support. Cons That only one user can be in the file at one time. It can become frustrating if you're trying to work on something, but someone else needs in the file right away. Review Source SH Serena H. Controller Management Consulting Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Amazin Solution for File Sharing" August 27, 2026 5.0 The cloud storage came in very handy when someone accidentally restored an old backup and we thought we lost months of work. Thankfully, the last sync in Qbox was able to save us. Qbox is very simple to use and share files and folders with others. For the price, I don't think I could ask for more. Recently, I had to contact customer service for an issue, and the question was answered and the issue resolved quickly. Pros The file sharing has made using QuickBooks Desktop with our office staff and CPA a breeze. No more sending an accountant's copy every time we need to make changes. We also can upload and share documents as needed. Cons If I have to answer something here, it is the occasional issue with syncing. Restart Qbox and it is usually immediately resolved. For a small monthly fee I am able to access my QuickBooks Desktop account without having to purchase the program. Pros The Qbox platform gives me access to my QuickBooks account which is invaluable to running my business. I’ve been very satisfied with this product. Pros QBox has been great for our file storage needs. It’s easy to use and the support is wonderful if you have any questions. I also found that it’s easy to get to a ”human” through their support service , which is always a perk when you’re already busy. It’s a great tool for a low-cost with excellent results. Cons Once I had files uploaded to explorer, I was not able to rename them when I needed to. Instead, I had to delete the file and re-upload a file with the correct name. It solves the issue of file transfers and offsite backups. Pros Customer service is great to work with. Each time I had to call they were very helpful and patient with the issue. Cons disappointed about the fee increase but still a good value. I host many q box clients and keeping track of the billing so I can bill the customer is a pain. It was our error, and the tech helped us by finding an auto recovery file after much searching - we were able to restore the backup and did not lose 9 months of data. They were very helpful and quick to respond. They provided me with step by step instructions and links to guides to further explain what I needed help with. I was very impressed with the customer service. Pros I reached out to customer support and they immediately responded back and provided step by step instructions. The simplicity of sharing the files is great for my clients. A short learning curve for my clients and we have been very happy ever since. QBox is a 5 star \*\*\*\*\* service. Pros Easy access to client's QuickBook files to enable projections, tax returns, and occasional file transfers. In addition, it can be used as a backup for client data. I do not recommend this as a client's only backup. Client had an intrusion in their system making their copies of QuickBooks corrupted. With QBox, I was able to give them a clean version and only a few days of input was lost. Client can make Cons Nothing!! This is an AWESOME software. I highly recommend it for accountants with clients/companies using QuickBooks desktop. We specialize in small businesses that often need accounting help. It has allowed me to not be tied down to a desk all of the time. As long as I can find internet access, I can travel anywhere, and I have in the past.
