I am delighted with the process so far. Now I am just wondering where the long-term cold storage is so that I can save originals to it soon before creating and organizing 2D and 3D models for my architecture clients. Pros It is quick and easy to operate. I think the AWS combination is the best. Cons I think that the price is a little high. That is alright, I will pay ahead of time instead of Pay-as-you-Go which is priced more reasonably, soon. While there can be administrative hiccups and interface issues, these can be overlooked in favor of Aspera's security apparatus which is frustratingly good at keeping files safe! Pros I liked the level of encryption and security that I can enjoy as an Aspera user. It makes me feel like my files are kept safe and secure whenever or if they may need to be accessed. I also appreciated the ease in which files can be shared, usually between two email addresses (or more), which employs a secure system and a companion app to help monitor and manage progress. Cons Aspera's UI can sometimes be confusing or lead me down the wrong path--sometimes I'm required to backtrack or look for an original Aspera link, which can hamper the ability to get the ball rolling on a transfer. There's a lot of checks to be done before sending a file, which seem to place more burden on the user at times, as opposed to Aspera serving the user.
