Implementing the software was easy and customer support was very attentive and has been for follow up questions. The online pharmacy is very customizable and allows you to remove medications you don't recommend. You can easily send clients a link to check out and with recommended products or prescriptions. Pros The platform is very easy to navigate for clients and staff, and they offer good promotions for clients while not harming your bottom line Cons Compounded medications are outsourced to Wedgewood which increases cost to the client and fulfillment times. Integration with Pulse practice software is a little disorganized. It will import with a default time of 12am which can be confusing when following up with clients. Switched from [Covetrus vRxPro](https://www.capterra.com/p/204324/Covetrus-Prescription-Management/) vRxPro was very expensive and the way they billed was not realistic for a small practice. Please see above. No-one picks up the phone. I have placed over 20 calls in 7 days!! Pros Ease of my doctor getting scripts to them directly. I have nothing positive to say as they don't answer the phone or respond to messages. Cons Repeated calls to them over the last 7 days. I have left messages and continue to get voice options noting that they will call me back according to my place in line but no call ever. AN Anonymous User Pet parent Veterinary ### "Vetcove failed to deliver my cat's food on time - do not use them for urgent needs" 1.0 Overall Rating 1.0 1.0 Ease of Use 4.0 4.0 Features 3.0 3.0 Customer Service 1.0 1.0 Likelihood to Recommend 0/10 August 2, 2025 My vet's office recently began requiring pet parents to order from Vetcove to ship their pets' prescriptions to their home, as opposed to Chewy or similar online pharmacies. I ordered on Saturday July 26. My vet's office approved in the morning of Monday July 28. The product did not even ship until the evening of Friday August 1 AFTER I followed up via email, and it will not arrive until Tuesday August 5th (a week and a half after I ordered, and outside of their 1-5 day arrival promise). There was no response to my email requesting an update on my order. Vetcove misleadingly promises food will arrive within 1-5 days, but this is the actual shipping time. They make no mention of their processing time. Evidently, that processing time is not included in their arrival estimate time. For my order, the processing time was 5 business days in addition to the 1-5 days for ground shipping. During this time, my cat ran out of his prescription food. Vetcove claims to compete with Chewy in terms of user experience. Chewy would have had our food here within 3 days of ordering. Thankfully, we were able to get the food from our vet's office at an increased price. Do not use Vetcove for anything remotely urgent or time-sensitive. It's unacceptable to take so long to send pet prescriptions with absolutely no communication. My vet now charges a processing fee in order to send prescriptions to Chewy as opposed to Vetcove, which I will happily pay if it means I never have to rely on Vetcove again. They are unreliable, uncommunicative, and do not fulfill their shipping promises when shipping direct to pet parents. Pros The website was easy to use, but that's about it. I am displeased with their communication and failure to deliver on shipping promises. I don’t know that I could have managed ordering and inventory without it. Pros I love that it centralizes all the vendors that we use in one location so there is not a need to sign in to all the different vendor’s websites to do our ordering. Cons My one wish list item is a favorites tab on the drop down menu options. We have a one stop shop for almost everything we could possibly need and the options of multiple checkouts is great if you just need something from Vendor A but don't want to place that Vendor C order quite yet. Pros I love how it breaks down our vendors for us, so if Vendor A is a few dollars cheaper than Vendor 5, I don't need to cycle through emails trying to find who has a sale this week. It is also great for tracking invoices, and implements perfectly into our new. PIMS, making keeping track of inventory a breeze. It also offers cash back rewards that we use to treat the staff to a nice treat like ice cream or lunch. Cons There really haven't been any that I've come across! It is easy to search, easy to place an order, and easy to check out. It has cut down on our inventory time greatly, so a truly great product! Reasons for choosing Vetcove Ease of use, integration into our PIMS, and the rewards options have made this a perfect platform for our clinic. It is easy, makes my life easier and weekly ordering goes much faster now. Pros It was easy to integrate into our current software. I can link up all our accounts and search everyone at the same time, instead of having to flip between multiple tabs. It has been a time saver and a money saver. I love how Vetcove also keeps up with our cash rebates for us. Cons Sometimes the search is a bit to sensitive and it can not look up what I need without knowing exactly what it is called. Reasons for choosing Vetcove Did not really chose it over another product, it just made it easier to combine all the ordering companies together. Cons Everyone has started charging for shipping which hurts the bottom line, but then using this helps us choose the best possible supplier.
