I don’t know that I could have managed ordering and inventory without it. Pros I love that it centralizes all the vendors that we use in one location so there is not a need to sign in to all the different vendor’s websites to do our ordering. I also love that I don't have to go to multiple sites for checkout, all my carts are in one place. Pros It has greatly simplified managing hospital inventory and keeping costs more manageable. I have placed over 20 calls in 7 days!! Pros Ease of my doctor getting scripts to them directly. I have nothing positive to say as they don't answer the phone or respond to messages. Cons Repeated calls to them over the last 7 days. I have left messages and continue to get voice options noting that they will call me back according to my place in line but no call ever. It vastly decreased the amount of time I spend researching and processing inventory. Inventory purchases are so much more efficient since I started using Vetcove. Absolutely love it! Pros Vetcove was a game changer for me as inventory manager at my veterinary hospital. I am able to price shop and check backorders for every distributor all at the same time. I can also easily find alternatives for backordered items. We are part of a buying group and therefore get discounts on many products. Vetcove shows both the "regular" retail price and the discounted price, which is very helpful when pricing out items. You can also purchase directly from Vetcove rather than going to each individual website. I don't utilize that feature as I place my orders through our PIMS, but on the rare occasions I do shop online, it is very helpful. They also seem to be adding distributors on a regular basis, widening the possibilities. Cons I have found on rare occasions that the prices on Vetcove are not accurate. I'm unsure if that is due to a delay in reflecting price increases or is limited to one manufacturer (specifically Zoetis) in particular? With that particular manufacturer, I am typically using Vetcove more for backorders as they do annual price increases and I don't worry about regularly changing prices. Reason for choosing Vetcove Vetcove, as far as I'm aware, is the first of its kind. It is also 100% free. Review Source VR Verified Reviewer Pet parent Veterinary Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Vetcove failed to deliver my cat's food on time - do not use them for urgent needs" August 2, 2025 1.0 My vet's office recently began requiring pet parents to order from Vetcove to ship their pets' prescriptions to their home, as opposed to Chewy or similar online pharmacies. I ordered on Saturday July 26. My vet's office approved in the morning of Monday July 28. The product did not even ship until the evening of Friday August 1 AFTER I followed up via email, and it will not arrive until Tuesday August 5th (a week and a half after I ordered, and outside of their 1-5 day arrival promise). There was no response to my email requesting an update on my order. Vetcove misleadingly promises food will arrive within 1-5 days, but this is the actual shipping time. They make no mention of their processing time. Evidently, that processing time is not included in their arrival estimate time. For my order, the processing time was 5 business days in addition to the 1-5 days for ground shipping. During this time, my cat ran out of his prescription food. Vetcove claims to compete with Chewy in terms of user experience. Chewy would have had our food here within 3 days of ordering. Thankfully, we were able to get the food from our vet's office at an increased price. Do not use Vetcove for anything remotely urgent or time-sensitive. It's unacceptable to take so long to send pet prescriptions with absolutely no communication. My vet now charges a processing fee in order to send prescriptions to Chewy as opposed to Vetcove, which I will happily pay if it means I never have to rely on Vetcove again. They are unreliable, uncommunicative, and do not fulfill their shipping promises when shipping direct to pet parents. Pros The website was easy to use, but that's about it. I am displeased with their communication and failure to deliver on shipping promises. Vet Tech Veterinary Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Vetcove the only place to search and order from" November 10, 2022 5.0 Overall I really enjoy using this product. It is the only product our company uses for ordering product. I save time each with there superior vendor and manufacture integration. We also save money by being able to seeing prices of all vendors for each product. Pros I really love this software. It makes it really easy to do my job. I am a vet tech. So inventory is just one part of my job and I only have so much time each day to complete certain tasks. With Vetcove I can confidently order items for our clinic each week and know I am getting the best price. Every so often I use Vetcove to price search and find products I need at a better price from another vendor. I am able to make lists that I can go back to. I can also look at all orders that I've made in the past. One thing I really like is when searching for products I can see what items I've ordered and when. It also shows me how many times I've ordered it in the last. It also lets you know when vendors are back stocked or no longer selling certain items. They also have a discount list where you can order some items at a discount. Cons I really love everything about it. I guess the only thing I don't like is if I don't have an account set up for a vendor you can't order from them. Otherwise I love this product. Review Source EB Erica B. We have a one stop shop for almost everything we could possibly need and the options of multiple checkouts is great if you just need something from Vendor A but don't want to place that Vendor C order quite yet. Pros I love how it breaks down our vendors for us, so if Vendor A is a few dollars cheaper than Vendor 5, I don't need to cycle through emails trying to find who has a sale this week. It is also great for tracking invoices, and implements perfectly into our new. PIMS, making keeping track of inventory a breeze. It also offers cash back rewards that we use to treat the staff to a nice treat like ice cream or lunch. Cons There really haven't been any that I've come across! It is easy to search, easy to place an order, and easy to check out. It has cut down on our inventory time greatly, so a truly great product! It is easy, makes my life easier and weekly ordering goes much faster now. Pros It was easy to integrate into our current software. I can link up all our accounts and search everyone at the same time, instead of having to flip between multiple tabs. It has been a time saver and a money saver. I love how Vetcove also keeps up with our cash rebates for us. Cons Sometimes the search is a bit to sensitive and it can not look up what I need without knowing exactly what it is called. Cons Everyone has started charging for shipping which hurts the bottom line, but then using this helps us choose the best possible supplier.
