Eveyone has loved how attractive, simple and transparent the elections were. I can't imagine going back to paper ballots again. Pros makes online voting simple. It is secure, a good value for the money, and provides results immediately after the close of the election. If you get stuck, there is support who will get your problem fixed. Cons There is nothing I don't like about . It is software that really works! It does force you to be careful about uploading your voting list. Have an extra space or a stray comma, then your election is suspended until it is fixed. I wish I had went with VoteHOA instead. at first there pricing is higher, but if you were paying for the consulting, the pricing ends up being the same. Pros The software worked as it should. If you are doing the more basic service I think this is for you. I don't think they are that great for professional users. Cons The follow up was not great. I showed interest on the \[sensitive content hidden\] and I did not get it set up finally till \[sensitive content hidden\] (I was hoping for a week turn around). Once I did get it set up, they did not send out all the notification reminders I had paid for. It was not till the end that, I realized it had happened. January 9, 2026 5.0 As stated above, it was easy to use and the Board appreciated the ease of use when casting their votes. Formerly we took polls during a ZOOM meeting. allowed me to choose a set period of time for voting - which further allowed all Board members to cast their vote/have their way, regardless if they were attending the ZOOM meeting or not. Pros We used for a smaller association Board that I manage, and everyone involved in the voting loved it! It is very easy/user friendly to set up the ballots and the vote, and results are easy to view and share. It's a fantastic, secure way to have secure voting! Cons I honestly don't have any cons. The entire process of using was easy and straightforward. It was easy to monitor and fix problems while the election was running, and the reports it generates after the election closes are easy to read and download. Pros It is very easy to set up and manage. The customer support experience was also excellent, with very quick response times to our questions. The price per election seems reasonable for our smaller cohort and offers more features for the price than competitors. Cons Setting up our initial voter list was tedious, as I had to retype every name and address to conform to the required format. was good at pointing out when the list had errors, but for us, it meant deleting the list, correcting the errors, and uploading the list again. Cons Deliverability of ballots can be an issue for members that have a very strong firewall so we have to send reminders through our system asking attendees to look for their ballots. We were able to receive election results immediately, and this saved us a huge amount of time. I'm pretty good with technology, and I got stuck a couple of times during the setup, but with some research, I was able to find the info I needed and set up an election that was seamless and efficient. I would definitely use it again! Pros This was very easy for the voters to use! I loved that we could set it up for an individual link to be texted to each member and they didn't need to enter another code in order to vote. From the admins perspective, it was a little confusing to set up, but the articles to find answers that I needed were helpful. Cons Figuring out how to set up the election wasn't the most intuitive compared to other technology (I can't compare it to other voting systems because this is the only one I have used... just comparing it to other tech experiences.) January 7, 2025 5.0 Excellent, in a word. Good value, no issues with set-up, results that no-one felt the need to query or dispute. When you're running an election across 60 countries, that's an achievement worth noting. Pros It's very easy to use - the set-up is very intuitive and needs little or no instruction to get going. It's a great interface - uncluttered, well laid-out. And its functional simplicity makes it a fabulous tool that instils confidence both in the administrator and the electorate. What's more, when I needed customer support - to check out the availability of a feature, rather than needing help with implementing a feature - I couldn't have asked for a better, more friendly response. It doesn't take a lot to make a customer feel valued, but there are plenty of companies out there who don't make that simple effort. Most of the time setting up the voting was straight forward and intuitive. The voting process itself went smoothly. The price was right for what I needed. Pros Setting up the voting ballot was easy and pretty straightforward. I really liked that voters could click the information so that all information could be presented in an easy way. Cons If modifications are necessary after you have set the voting ready you first have to cancel… this process is a bit a hassle. Pros Easy to learn and use. Learning is free with test votes! Any issues I ran into, the chat feature was able to straighten out. Election Buddy cut our costs down huge! Cons The mail out ballots that Election Buddy can supply would come from the USA. Being in Canada the cost of them doing this for the few dozen members without email addresses was too much. We ended up doing them ourselves but it would be nice to be able to incorporate the mailouts at a decent price for Canadians. The product is much more affordable as compared to a mailed ballot and members are able to vote faster and see in real time their voting confirmation. Voter turnout is at an all time high for us. Price goes up a little if they manage the election; it is very easy to manage your own, but you need to resource of someone watching over the election. Pros After system is set up by Election Buddy, with a quick 10 -15 minute tutorial, you are ready to go. We have managed several of our own elections and really only move to Election Buddy management during holidays when our office staff are off. Cons I'm really thinking about this... There isn't much that I don't like. If Election Buddy is managing the election, we can't see data in real time (% of those that have voted. You won't see the results until the after the election closes. If you are pushing for voter turnout, they can assist by sending a excel list via email. This was helpful). Electronic voting has changed that. We did 80% this year. Not any electronic voting platform will win voters. brought an easy-to-use platform for the admin and the voter at a reasonable price. They also provided superior customer service as the icing on the cake. Pros This software is easy to set up, monitor, edit (when necessary), download, print, and archive results. is competitively priced, but the biggest pluses are the ease of use and superior customer service. I often had a question, and the service rep was on the chat with no wait time, quickly understood my questions, and gave clear, concise answers that allowed me to address what I needed to and move on. I had many different scenarios, for example, a wrong email address, someone that wanted a printed ballot, and several people that informed us that they wished to have the ballot sent to their other email address. While the vote was live, I could make these edits quickly and efficiently, and the online chat staff was fantastic. You are chatting with a real person that knows what they are doing. You are not waiting for a long time in between because they are on too many other chats. They provide fast and easy-to-follow help. I have used different electronic voting platforms and feel ElectionBuddy is superior. Cons I am struggling to find a con. I do not think I have one. My experience with the customer service is excellent, I cannot fault the support team.I'll recommend the software at every opportunity. The ease of use, and user friendly interface makes the software very professional and eye-catching.Ability to customise with corporate logo and corporate messages, ability to send election reminders, and ease of importing names in the software are some of the many standout functionality for me. The design and functionality of the software has been well thought through. I'll recommend!Finally, the help features and online support (live chat) is excellent. Cons Ability to check if ballots have been blocked/or not received by the end users. It'll be nice to have a repository when the administrator can check if ballot have not been delivered to the mailbox, and the reasons for such.At the moment, you rely on Helpdesk to find out why ballots have not been delivered. Our ballet had 25 amendments to vote on. Having amendment with each vote and getting the results pushed all who voted it so easy!! Cons Couldn’t sort the names by last name. The voter list didn’t have first name/last name. So I had to sort the list by first name. But the search feature made it easy to find names. Reason for choosing ElectionBuddy The ease and cost. EB had my back the entire time, the software was easy to learn and use but it was also quite robust. Pros This was my and my teams first foray into running an online election. We were incredibly naive and so many topics and best practices in running an election. EB provided great chat support, amazing education to bring me up to the speed necessary, and suggestions that proved spot on. The software was incredibly intuitive. Fantastic product and twice the price! Cons I can't really think of anything that was problematic or an issue. Perhaps allowing more than one picture in bios but really it wasn't an issue. Overall experience was outstanding. Pros It was for the most part easy to use. When you ran into a problem the help desk was amazing and fast to respond. Ours was a very small vote (15) electors but we needed to have security and anonymity, and election buddy provided that for a very reasonable cost. Cons Some of the instructions were not a clear as others and provided challenges when setting up the election. However, support was wonderful and quickly resolved any issues.
