September 23, 2025 5.0 The experience was great. It was easy. Very grateful for the opportunity to run a few sample elections with a small test group. We learned a lot with our first election. Loved being able to introduce electronic voting to our community. It made our election so much easier and counting votes so smooth. Thankful for your product! Pros Can't pick just one! The ease of setting up our ballot. The step by step guide was so helpful. It walked me through how to do everything exactly the way I needed it. Also liked the confidentiality of the votes. This was very important to our community. Also loved the fact that it tallied all the votes for us and gave a very detailed summary. Cons That when we set up to vote for four candidates and if someone didn't want to vote for all four candidates and only write it two candidates that they still had to have four candidates. It didn't explain that clearly that there would have to be four selected no matter what. Even from year to year, it was easy to remember the "how-tos" Pros This was easy to load for the different categories we had-some candidates were to be confirmed and some were to vote between 2 candidates. They're quick to respond and will follow up with you to ensure your problem is solved. I had a question about adding in voters once the election was live and they walked with through how to edit it and add voters and included step by step articles Cons The only con about ElectionBuddy would be the cost per election. If there is an error made and the election is already live, you have to close the vote and pay to do it again. They were able to give me a 50% credit but it would be nice to have like a grace period if the error is realized within a certain amount of time once going live. October 1, 2025 5.0 Our union has used ElectionBuddy twice and has found that it's a great program for digital elections. The set-up, training, security involved, and its ease of use once employed by our members has no doubt ensured that we'll continue to use it in the future. Pros ElectionBuddy was very easy to employ for our union's digital elections. It was easy to learn about and set up, it was very secure, and came at a good price for us. I would highly recommend it to any organization. In 2024 we did our first electronic ballot and we had over 62% participation versus mail in ballots were only 15% Pros The customer service!! Everyone is so helpful and they are real humans and not just bots. I was able to get my election up and running! Cons Not many cons- it would be nice to have SMS confirmation text when someone votes via text. Appreciated the free tests to refine wording and see what would happen under various voting circumstances. Very helpful Pros Easy to set up and use. Feedback from voters indicated they found it easy and they liked it better because they could think about their votes instead of having to vote on the fly. Result reports were very helpful for reporting back to the membership. Cons Not sure if it actually encouraged voting. I think about the same percentage of people voted as before we tried this system. No one used the proxy system, whereas they did before when we used paper ballots. Great follow up. Great demo with key staff. While they didn't try to oversell, we ended up choosing a higher package that I discovered on my own. It would have been nice for them to recognize that the other solution was a better fit. Easy implementation. Great online Help -- even when I working late. Pros Cost, ease of use! I've been interested in the product for a few years and when I pitched it with the price, everyone on the team thought it was a "no-brainer." Can't beat the price for the functionality, ease of use and service. Cons I was concerned that the reminder emails were sent from ElectionBuddy Elections instead of our org name. When I asked support about this, they heard my concerns and made the change product-wide. ElectionBuddy did what we were toild it was going to do. Consistent. Pros Easy to set up settings. Great "how To" tutorials. Excellent text and email support. Results we easy to understand. Cons Reminder set up tool buggy. No way (at least that I know of) to update results/main page without going to Dashboard and reselect election. When one is going through and clearing the Undeliverables, the Undeliverable screen goes away after you repair ballot, forcing you to go back and select Undeilverables again. Pros Reusing prior ballots - especially helpful since I replaced someone at our org - AND the customer service is amazing!!! Cons It's not always intuitive for me, so I probably use customer service more often than some, which is why it's a very important part of my positive experience. Their 5 voter free demonstration feature is invaluable for educating prospective users. They have weighted precision where other vendors fall short. They can support a true secret ballot if their system is configured with absolutely no link between the access key and the particular voter. That meets the Robert's Rules' standard. Pros They're very responsive by chat. I'm able to communicate and resolve most issues that come up. They were very helpful during a couple of recent elections when (a) the voter weight somehow didn't get transmitted, and (b) the client left out numerous voters. Cons They still make website changes that cause disruption in the setup process. I can't find my previous chat to document so have to make sure I save it manually. There's a security exposure that hasn't been fixed. Long term; they may need to correct the parliamentary terminology that is used. Alternatives considered [ClusterControl](https://www.capterra.com/p/142351/ClusterControl/) Reason for choosing ElectionBuddy (1) Inadequate voter weight management, (2) no true secret ballot procedure, (3) no true way to make free trial runs, (4) unavailability try the procedure without being forced to going through sales people, (5) cost much higher. Cons A little difficult to upload and adjust photos - but that is nothing major, just need to get proper candidate photos! Very responsive. Our association saved approximately $4,000 by going with electronic balloting with Election Buddy. Pros It was very user friendly. It kept the election confidential and kept track of any changes to voters. Cons There was nothing that I did not like. It was very user friendly and great customer service. Easy to use election software when we needed to run a contested election, easy options without training needed.
