Before opening my business bank account, I had already submitted the documentation required to establish my business. After completing and delivering a customer’s order, Autobooks froze the payment and requested extensive additional documentation, including my personal tax returns. I cooperated by providing the signed customer agreement showing the agreed-upon price and photos of the completed products. Despite that, Autobooks terminated my account, claiming my business didn’t meet their standards, without providing a meaningful explanation. What frustrates me most isn’t that they have underwriting standards—it’s that they approved my business, allowed me to rely on their platform, and only after I accepted a customer payment decided my business was no longer acceptable. I cannot recommend Autobooks to any small business owner. Pros Unfortunately, I can’t identify any positives based on my experience. They were rude and unprofessional. Cons Autobooks froze a legitimate customer payment after work had already been completed, demanded my personal tax returns, signed customer contract, customer information, Facebook business page, business card, marketing materials, and more. After I provided the requested information, they terminated my account, stating only that my business “didn’t meet their standards.” They also deleted my invoices, forcing me to start over with my customer. Your slow communications and vague policies jeopardized our cash flow, leading to a rejected payment without any explanation. Worst of all, it required us to call repeatedly for updates, as your team would promise communication but never follow through. Pros It was very easy to set up and get started with right away. Cons Their communication is the worst I've ever seen from a FinTech company. Additionally, they are overly risk-averse. When your business needs to invoice and receive payments for $5,000 or more, they will deny it, but only after dragging out the decision for over a week with little to no communication. Switched from [QuickBooks Online](https://www.capterra.com/p/190778/QuickBooks-Online/) It was easier to use, and we didn’t think we needed all the features of QB. We were very wrong for leaving, and we’re already back with QB. They are always available to listen and very helpful to troubleshoot or explain how to work a feature. Pros the direct connectivity to the bank to categorize transactions Cons when using it for invoicing there is no "edit" feature, that is the worst however, I no longer use it for that so, it's not a problem Switched from [QuickBooks Online](https://www.capterra.com/p/190778/QuickBooks-Online/) Quickbooks had horrible customer service. Too many problems with connecting to my bank account, I went for months with no connection, and they refused to fix it. Told me that "there needs to be multiple issues with the same bank before they write a ticket on it" and then promptly refused to credit my account for their failed system.
