"Like the product, hate the opt-out billing"
Overall: I was able to cancel this option. We'll see if I get billed again. But on the basis of my experience, I couldn't recommend it to another user.
Pros: It works, and it makes a noticeable improvement to the performance of my ancient Windows 7 machine!
Cons: I signed up for a simple year's subscription to the basic System Mechanic, and noticed 2.5 months later I'd been billed three times--turns out I'd been billed for "support" I'd failed to opt out of in the subscription process. If you have a good product like this, it shouldn't need predatory billing practices.
