I've already hopped from several other LMS's, simply because the front end experience for my students looked'scrappy' and cheaply made, which made my courses feel just as cheap. Mastera's ability to provide a beautiful blank canvas for my courses makes it shine from the others along with it's easy to build lessons for the admins. Mastera allows you to grow your content consumers from a free plan to monthly paying customers. You also can make a shop, not only for digital products, it is possible to sell physical products like merch T-Shirts. One of the best features is adding video and audio files from YouTube, Vimeo, Loom or upload your files directly to Mastera. Your clients can watch one of your videos, and you can leave a call to action for booking an appointment directly from the video. Mastera has a built-in calendar, and you can charge for live sessions. You get also a built-in solution for email-marketing to sell your products directly from Mastera. It doesn't try to be an all in one course tool/PM tool/website builder, etc. The intention behind Mastera is to be a great program for courses, and it is well executed. All the things someone would need - hosting, billing, customer contact - are all part of the tool, and simple to use. Cons The thing I liked least isn't about Mastera - it's about the timing I came across it. I currently have another tool that includes a membership/LMS module. Although it lacks features that Mastera has, it might be a hassle to migrate everything over. That being said, I foresee all my future courses being hosted on Mastera because of ease of use and ease of deployment. It has a great onboarding process, so you can have your platform set up in just minutes. Something that I love is the possibility of offering a subscription with access to all the courses on my platform and also the sale of products online, a very valuable feature. The platform has an incredible design, which transmits a lot of quality to my students and does not make me look like a beginner. In general, Mastera has many functionalities and a great roadmap, along with a very active and helpful team. I highly recommend it! What they are creating is perfect for my web offerings and the community that I started two years ago on Shopify. At the beginning of the pandemic I switched my Shopify site from selling online yoga clothes to a collaborative of healers offering online classes. Shopify really isn't built for that, but it's what I had. I'm grateful to have found Mastera. It's perfect for individuals and groups. It was easy for me to switch everything over, and Masteras support is consistent and great! This month I was able to cancle my Shopify site!!! I'm looking forward to finding new use cases for the product. Pros One of the things that has struck me right off the bat is everything you can do with Mastera. As another review already pointed out, you really do have the ability to pretty much create a business from the ground up. Another first impression is that it is a beautiful service, especially for an LMS/CMS system and the level of customization that is allowed can really make it easy to integrate it into your existing site, especially if you are utilizing the CNAME features. Cons The ability to customize the product for use, as well as so many use cases, can be a little overwhelming and can cause a steep learning curve. With that said, while I say its a Con, its really something that can be overcome with time as you get to learn the product. I was looking for a tool that can help me develop and organize online courses and then dabble into memberships. The Mastera tool is easy to use (after a learning curve) and really has lots of bells and whistles that other similar tools don't have. If you are needing a simple website or storefront - it has that too (I didn't really need those), but overall a great tool that is very versatile to meet many needs for coaches like me.
