Reason for choosing Mastera I still have the other LMS platforms and hoping to cancel them after as I am running on Mastera for a few weeks. September 3, 2021 5.0 Pros The Mastera team really placed a lot of effort into providing a powerful LMS. The esthetics of the platform are some of the best that I’ve seen. The ability to add unlimited teachers, payment options without an additional transaction fee, send text messages and emails, while also providing a booking feature along with the calendar is next level! There are several helpful videos on YouTube to help with the learning curve but so far, I haven’t had to watch too many of them because the setup is one of the most streamlined that I’ve encountered. I have an existing website, but the Mastera website builder is so appealing it has me contemplating making it my primary site, which is a first. I have already recommended Mastera to a colleague. Mastera also allows me to develop flexible programs to create different types of content and offerings. October 6, 2021 5.0 Pros Having been an educator for the last 20 years, I always look at better and improved ways to bring knowledge to audiences. There are many tools out there as you will know. Mastera however stands out because of its integrated approach. You can have pre-recorded courses but also live courses, which is one of the key strengths of Mastera. It integrates perfectly with Zoom. But that is not all. As I'm sure you will have read from other reviews here, the all-in-one management of learners is what stands out. And the built-in email automation helps you market your next course to your existing subscribers. I'm chuffed and cannot wait to see how this learning application will evolve over time. Cons Takes a while to get use to all the features and see how your audience can benefit from the best experience you can deliver to them. The experience with the team is amazing. Pros I love that I can sell merchandise in addition to my courses, release Zoom links at the time of the class to avoid people from sharing the link and inviting others who have not payed and I like how easy it is to upload content. The other platforms are great for their use cases. BigMarker is a great for big webinars, Airmeet for online meetups. However, if you want to use the platform for an online "school" with multiple instructors - all with their own schedules, their own classes, often during the same time of the day, Mastera has been the best fit so far. With the other tested platforms, I run into somewhat arbitrary limits (e.g., the no. of concurrent sessions,) which limits the long-term usefulness of the respective platform. Pros I've been buying/evaluating a couple of video platforms (BigMarker, Airmeet, LiveWebinar) for a potential multi-teacher business. Mastera is the best fit so far for these reasons: 1) Unlimited teachers / classes / concurrent sessions 2) Each teacher connects their own Zoom account 3) Each teacher connects their own Stripe account (coming soon) 4) Our commission is automatically deducted from the payments (coming soon) Cons There is Mastera branding in the UI (can be removed by a fee) It a video-foused platform for learning. It isn't a problem for my use case, but can be for people expecting a more traditional LMS. Cons So far, it is the newness of the software and lacking of some features, but with the roadmap, they will address things as we need them. It has a great user interface and designed with the customer in mind. You can apply your branding style guide so that it is consistent. Customising the look and feel of my website was thorough and has all the components I need to give a professional and credible presence out there. Easy to add pages. What I really love is that I could simply add mastera widgets to my already done website. The marketing section also allows you to keep in contact with clients – such bonus! Pros It is versatile, and easy to set up the shop and upload the videos for on-demand classes as well as the live classes. It has a great user interface and designed with the customer in mind. Pros The Problem: I'm booting one up for my wife just after all her live classes had to be postponed due to tightened measures. But she's abit apprehensive on a totally zoom session cos she's handling kids and you know how kids are when overzoomed. The Slippery slope: - And there are some willing to pay more for intensive 1-1 - And some just ok with something to try out without burning their pockets. - On demand was a lifesaver but cannot replace the entire intent. Marketing Director Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "A solid product" October 11, 2021 5.0 Pros Mastera is easy to use, generous with inclusions, and has lots of features from unlimited classes and customers to marketing campaigns and online shop. It has its own website builder too although I prefer to use a different builder and just embed parts of Mastera to my website. You can also add accounts and sub-users making it easy to manage client accounts and staff access. Cons It is not the prettiest but good enough for my use. I would have preferred to use my Twilio number but we are limited to selecting from their own so I end up not using the SMS feature. I prefer that customers see our business number than a different number just for the marketing campaign. If you don't mind that, it can be useful. The storage limit of 100gb may not be enough if you have lots of resources or you upload class videos regularly. In our case we had to subscribe to a third party video hosting service and just embed the videos as there is no limit on that. Review Source TT Thomas T. There is a partner program which is nice, but the features of that system are still needing to be developed. Would like some way to remove linked accounts from my partner account Pros Mastera takes care of everything in one place, so you don't have to worry about bringing together multiple different products to craft a platform to deliver your eLearning course The features that are present appear to be well developed. I'm impressed by the quality of the outputs being created, which will improve the experience of my users. Big thumbs up Cons Because everything is handled for you, the amount of customisability for your platform is limited to what is supported by Mastera. I love that all of my students can watch my classes and that I can ensure that no one's privacy is violated. I also love that I can easily create and manage my subscription and customers. Cons A little bit of a learning curve finding where things are in terms of settings, but I'm running alongside a wordpress site so it does what it needs to do for me without the hassle of patch stacking a bunch of different platforms and plugins.
