There has been no issues from our customers that sign. Pros Easy to use and good interface. We switched from Nitro and found that the platform has most of the important features. Cons Didn't find anything we don't like yet. Need to get used to the interface. The platform is well designed and works well for us. January 13, 2026 5.0 BoldSign is an amazing product and service. I have used several e-signature tools in the past (last one being used for several years before switching to BoldSign). The experience has been seamless, and customer support has been fantastic. What I love about the product: -ease of use -multi-signer and routing -great options for verficiation (SMS, ID, etc.) -proper ID verification (vs someone just being able to take a picture of anything) - yes, there is a cost to it, but a very reasonable cost per verification and a great option to have -great customization options on branding, emails, reminders, etc. -awesome to have the ability to edit an envelope or reroute it to a different recipient without having to start from scratch if a mistake is noticed before signing -great dashboard -great reminder options -nice to have a custom domain option Cons/Features that I would love to see in the future -I would love to have a couple more options on dates customizations -no ability to create preset tags within a doc on a web app (although can do through API if dealing with a custom/dev workflow) -would love to see a couple more improvement/customization options for automatic file naming post-signing -Not all documents are listed in the request e-mail, and only the name of the first document attached is listed within the e-signature request e-mail (although it may have multiple documents attached) Although there are still features that would be 'nice to have', this is still a fantastic product and superior to other products I have used. Principal Architecture & Planning Used the software for: 2+ years ### "BoldSign - Great option" June 9, 2026 5.0 Great - super easy to use, and I still use it sometimes, even though I now have the option of using Google docs, which has it's own flaws and user-experience issues. Pros BoldSign was easy to use, and at a small scale it was free to use. It had more than enough capacity for daily credit, making it easy to add signature fields to a document, add comments before sending and I liked that you could see if a document had been viewed. Cons For sending out esignature documents, it felt a little unsophisticated because you just drag and drop a signature field over a PDF. It worked just fine, but the image quality felt slightly reduced, so could be perceived as less professional. Why can't I send the document to myself at the same time I send it to the client for signing? The program itself is excellent. I've been with other electronic service companies, and every time they upgraded their program, it didn't work! I ended up spending hours (literally!) on the phone with them to get their program working! It was so frustrating! By the time their third "upgrade" came along, I was done! So I looked for other platforms. Their platforms were subpar at best. Then I found BoldSign! I'm here to stay! Pros This program is very easy to use. When your at the Dashboard, everything is right there at a glance, what documents are waiting for me to sign, what documents are waiting for others to sign, if a sent document needs attention like wrong email address, along with a section of completed documents. It is the absolute BEST program I've used for electronic signatures! Once you have created a document for signature, you can add additional names and email addresses to send the document to, you can name your document, you can add a note for the individuals you're asking to sign the document ~ its all VERY simple! Also, if you already documents set up for signature, and you need to change a document, you can easily go back, replace the document and continue on. Their customer service is by far superb. I had a lot of questions in the beginning and they efficiently walked me through each issue I had. Cons I can't think of anything I don't like about BoldSign. But, if I come up with something, I'll let them know. I did not sign up as I only needed the feature occasionally. I have e-sign ability to a packaged case management subscription. Cons I wish there was a way to prevent duplicates from happening. Sometimes, there is more than one of the same document sent out to someone to sign. Other companies will get you on their service just to later let you know you only get 100 signature requests before you have to pay more. Cons BoldSign will glitch occasionally with the signature requests we send out. Its not a perfect service but it does the job fairly well. Pros BoldSign is an easy to use alternative to more expensive eSignature Software. We signed up to use Boldsign as a HIPAA compliant eSignature solution in our healthcare practice. Customer support is A+, answering my concerns very promptly with attention to detail. Document management is easy, templates are convenient and signatures are easy to capture from clients. Cons In addition to my template names, I wish that I could see a thumbnail of my templates, when ordering them in my document. This would make the sequencing of the different PDF's a little easier. Pros Love using the signing links to quickly get the same agreement signed by multiple parties; very helpful when you're running a grant program. Cons No major issues. There are some extra costs associated with getting multiple parties signed, but nothing unexpected.
