It should be noted that its environment is very nice and the latest update makes it easier with the reference messages. Pros It has a great ability to adapt to the tastes of people as you can customize the interface as well as its tools having the ability to customize the packages. It also has a wide range of molding, animation and rendering tools Cons If the capabilities of the equipment being used are good, this program is too great because it is always quite heavy and occupies a lot of graphic memory. I designed the parts for my thesis project using inventor, and it was a lot of fun Pros It has a lot of features which help me design the parts very precisely, and also lets me do simulations in advance to see if a design will work for stress and other kinds of analyses. I can also use it to 3D print my designs very efficiently and easily. Inventor has been pivotal in allowing us to see 3D models before they are produced. Pros Inventor has been very helpful for viewing high quality 3D models. We collaborate with a team across the country and the models they send us are easily manipulated in Inventor so that any issues are resolved before an actual prototype is produced. Cons While Inventor can can very high quality models, it requires a PC with a lot of power (video and processor). By having a 3D view of an object, contributors are able to see that object in space and manipulate it as if it were in the room, thus sparking more detailed conversation resulting in a better end product. Pros I love how easy Inventor is to pick up. As a Beginner, you can already start drawing complex parts without many problems. Another aspect of it that is very nice, is it's ability to complete tasks using different commands. If you are unable to complete the object with 1 command, there is normally another way to do it. Cons The largest drawback of Inventor is it's communication with programs outside of the Autodesk Suite. Pros I liked the ease of use of Inventor, as it is as welcome to new users as seasoned AutoCAD veterans. The feature set is quite broad and useful for all engineers and I have used Autodesk Inventor extensively in my professional career. Cons Overall, I find Autodesk Inventor to be a little less feature rich than certain competitors. Furthermore, there is a lack of cloud saving capability unlike something like Autodesk Fusion 360.
