### "The solution to a problem you didn't know you had"

When we discussed with Sona what it was that we were looking to create and get away from, they showed us their product and it was that golden egg that everyone looks for! It covers rostering, leave, reporting, payroll and timesheets - in one product and we haven't had that before. Since the 2020 pandemic it became clear that doing things the same way as we have always done, wasn't going to work much longer and with a younger workforce we need to ensure that we are looking to be more digital and online in our working approaches. This is even more vital when the workforce is spread across counties.I honestly feel very welcomed by Sona and that they are as positive that we will get a positive outcome from using their product.

Pros

I like the fact that Sona can take various different types of rota and put them in the system so they still function the same as before but it is more accessible to the management team. The way it works is the same across the organisation even of individual teams work differently. There is plenty of scope for feedback to ask if something can be done changed to show more or less information. Nothing is too much trouble for the team, who are highly responsive.

Cons

Getting our information together at the beginning was tough - as you are almost starting from a blank canvas. I am hoping for a user management section in the near future as with all companies, it is easier to manage your teams day to day.

### "Transforming How We Manage Our Rota"

Pros

Sona is exceptionally easy to use; it is intuitive and makes it easy for users to grasp the program and follow the flow of information. The most impactful feature of Sona is the real-time updates; the fact that both staff and management receive notifications and updates when any change occurs. Staff receive push notifications when there are shifts available or if their shifts have been updated. Management receive notification when shifts have been claimed or cancelled. This has allowed us to keep on top of our needed shifts more accurately, we have been able to ensure Sona accurately reflects the staff working and where we need to fill gaps. Staff also feel more in control of their work schedule; it allows them to choose shifts, locations, and cancel if necessary. This has reduced the likelihood of staff cancelling shifts as they choose what suits them best and works around their life and commitments. Sona have been receptive to our ideas and feedback, they provide explanations about why things occur when they do, communicate when they are working towards a solution and always are open to listening to whatever we bring to the table.

Cons

Any cons that we have raised with the Sona team they have taken on board and worked to make improvements to meet our needs. The team at Sona work in a collaborative way which has seen things that we may have viewed as “Cons” be transformed into improvements and features on the app. Sona seek our feedback and thoughts regularly and take on board what we say.

### "Well run, value for money product"

Great product, have a great working relationship with the team. Never have to worry about replies as they get back to you at first chance. Would highly recommend.

Pros

It saves a great deal of time asking the staff what days/nights they are available for and awaiting a response. Now it is in their hands to take any shifts they wish, and we can just pick up the pieces at the end.

Cons

When organising the rota, it would be nice to be able to add it to additional days, as majority of our staff are on a rolling rota. They have a copy button which does work to an extent, but if we were able to do (example): the staff name, shifts times, and then a drop box with dates, that we could tick for all, and then click upload. It has saved us time on rota management, but i feel that would be effective for our company.

It is great working with the Sona Team so far. They are professional, knowledgeable yet easy to talk to and communicate with. Any historical issues with staff management which we have highlighted - they have quickly come up with a feasible solution - pathing the way for a better user experience for our teams.

Pros

The software is easy to use and not over complicated. It allows us to manage and report on everything we need to without becoming over-whelming for those using the software. The fact that the teams can feedback about how their shifts went and their own wellbeing at work is unique and a great method for prompting valuable feedback.

Cons

Nothing yet! We are currently in the implementation stage. So far we are impressed with the product.

Reason for choosing Sona

A great balance of comprehensive analysis and reporting combined with ease of use. The team are forward thinking and great at communicating. The system allows us to check in on employee wellbeing and allows are team to feedback which we value highly within our organisation.

The Sona team are great, they cant do enough for you!.They are always very friendly, helpful, responsive and knowledgeable about their product. Responses are prompt, any changes or issues are deal with quickly.With the Sona teams help the transition to online roster management has been smooth and hassle free.

Pros

This product allows us to manage and control our rosters more effectively, we no longer have messy paper rosters with scribbles from staff swapping shifts displayed on notice Boards.Monthly rosters are created from templates in minutes, which is a real time saver. Our managers can published available shifts which notifies our staff on the app instantly, managers no longer have to make multiple phone calls to ask staff if they can cover shifts saving vast amounts of time.Our staff can check when they are working from anywhere at anytime, and they are now picking up available shifts which has already saved us paying elevated agency worker costs.Another great feature is Sona 'Wellbeing' where staff check-in to tell us how they feel. Making sure our staff are happy in their roles is extremely important to us, this is a great tool to help us monitor this and we are hoping this will improve retention.

Cons

You don't have the ability to check your staffs details, managing staff is currently performed by Sona. Although requests are processed quickly this is not ideal, however I am aware a 'Users Management' feature will be available soon which should resolve this.

The Sona team have been extremely informative and helpful. Communication is always quick and they fix any issues or concerns promptly. Sona has been a time saver and stress reliever!

Pros

Sona has greatly reduced our hours spent on Rota management. Allocating shifts is easier and staff choosing when to check the app and accept shifts gives them control of when they want to think about work.

Cons

Staff seeing shifts and not taking them means we still need to ring round to ensure we have cover at the last minute. This is not Sona's fault it is the nature of our service.

Great experience and its benefits have been great with our staffing issues in the care home. Would defiantly recommend to others.

Pros

How easy it is to use for staff, Staff know what shifts they are on scheduled so can pick up overtime easy. It helps with keeping Rotas up to date and getting in the extra staff that we really needed.

Cons

I dont think i can think of a negative, the only concern is sometimes we still don't get emails through for some shifts booked and this can cause us to double book staff.

Really easy functionality for both front-end and back-end use

Initially it was difficult to upload shifts as we needed to but Sona have worked with us to fix this
