Overall its been good, its a good platform in the market for payables. It meets our requirements with QBO at the moment,

Pros

Its security controls, customer service, internal controls in place for approval and payment. Overall improvements in Tipalti system.

Cons

That admins cannot edit bills after approvals, the process must be restart from scratch. we cannot short pay manual invoices. System cannot duplicate vendor names to different instances when one vendor is billing various subsidiaries. ITs a manual effort on companies using QBO.

Pros

Tipalti is a platform that adapts to the needs of the company, allowing you to have better control and the ability to integrate with other systems.

Cons

What I would like to see in the future is for Tipalti to develop an inventory management module. Honestly, this would be very useful when we perform the matching process with POs within the system.

Great standalone app for getting your expenses and reimbursements managed in one stop shop. Better than some other options

Pros

I loved how easy it is to submit expenses and they have a mobile app as well which is great. Really useful app

Cons

It took a bit to get setup with the mobile app, had some issues with my experience when setting it up for the first time.

I had a very bad experience with Tipalti. I was initially onboarded in August 2025, but I never got off the ground due to poor onboarding. Therefore, I tried to request a cancellation in January 2026, but I couldn't because all the employees I worked with at Tipalti had left the organization. Therefore, I was left in limbo waiting for the next in line to help me cancel the subscription. Then I was told in late May that I could not cancel it per the agreement. Wow, it was their fault i could not use the product becuase of their staff and they blame me and they continue to charge me. Never again.

Pros

The product seems good from the outside, but I never used it, so I cannot comment on whether I liked Tipalti.

Cons

Onboarding is hard, and very little help from their staff, and it's hard to reach someone senior at the organization.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, though we are incredibly sorry to hear about how frustrating your journey with us has been. What you described is absolutely not the standard of service we aim to provide. We completely understand your frustration regarding the communication gaps and the contract situation. Because we need to look into your specific account details and contract, could you please reach out to me directly (leslie.barrett@tipalti.com)? We value your feedback. Looking forward to chatting.

Happy with Tipalti AP and Procurement. Some minor bugs, but all in all, I am satisfied. I would like to give Procurement some more attention as there are some internal update I need to review. Hopefully I can improve my own process.

Pros

User friendly platform that allows me as the primary processor to get the work done and for users who use the platform less often to navigate with ease (PO platform). Tipalti Support is very responsive with guides and snags.

Cons

The AP bill processng page can be a bit cumbersome, as it requires multiple clicks and some back-and-forth navigation to upload information for PO versus non-PO items. The layout is just a bit unpolished.

Pros

What I value most about Tipalti is its ability to streamline and centralize complex financial operations within a single, intuitive platform. The system significantly reduces manual effort by automating accounts payable workflows, tax compliance, and global payment processing

Cons

One of the aspects I liked least about Tipalti was the complexity of its user interface, particularly during the initial onboarding and setup process

It has been generally positive in regards to accomplishing the goal of automating manual billing/collections and payment workflows and speeding up the invoice process especially. I'm not sure I would say it's the number one tool out there, but it is a workable solution.

Pros

I like that it has a multitude of integration opportunities with other software and platforms. I also like the ability to handle international payments, using ACH or other methods. The other benefit is the approval workflow system that makes it simple but also efficient for easy approvals up the chain.

Cons

It is a little bit difficult to get up and running in regards to the user interface and getting comfortable with all the settings, capabilities, site itself, etc.

It was a mixed bag. It got the job done, but felt like it required a lot more work than other platforms in this space.

Pros

It is a good central tool that integrates fairly well with our banking and accounting systems to manage accounts payable and bill payment.

Cons

The reporting of bills in the system and schedule of payments is confusing, the payment process is not always reliable like competitor products, and there are a great many hoops to jump through to prove compliance.

Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. We really appreciate the balanced perspective. We’re glad to hear Tipalti has been effective as a centralized accounts payable solution and that its integrations with banking and accounting systems (especially QuickBooks Online) delivered value compared to alternatives like BILL, particularly around data sharing and user access flexibility. That said, we hear your concerns clearly. Reporting clarity, payment reliability, and the effort required around compliance are all critical areas, and feedback like yours helps us prioritize where improvements matter most. This review is exactly the kind of honest input we want as we continue refining the platform to reduce friction while maintaining the controls and scale our customers rely on. We would love to have you at our next Customer Advisory Board. We will reach out once planning commences.
