It streamlined all the processes from the first moment, and it has become an essential tool for the company and my work team. The overall experience is magnificent. Pros I like it because it allows me to easily use the functions, which by the way are extraordinary and this saves me a lot of time. There are other programs that although they are a little more economical, they are a lot of work when you start using them. Therefore, the best thing is undoubtedly the ease with which you can start using it in the company. Cons The weakest point is the support, but it is something that can be solved. On more than one occasion I had problems communicating with the support team and they were not pleasant experiences. It automates invoice processing, eliminating manual spreadsheets, reducing errors, and ensuring compliance. The Netsuite integration provides real-time accuracy. This has improved our efficiency and scalability, allowing the finance team to focus on strategic work. Pros Tipalti successfully centralized and automated our AP processes. The Netsuite integration is excellent, with real-time syncing and accurate GL impacts. Automated approval workflows and OCR scanning are game-changers, saving significant time and simplifying multi-entity accounts. Customer support has been fantastic (\[sensitive content hidden\] , specifically), and the system is clearly built to scale for our future growth. Cons Setting up custom approval workflows and vendor onboarding required a steep initial learning curve, which required a lot of back-and-forth. Self-service for vendors, for registration of bank details and submitting invoices. Image/OCR recognition of imported invoices to pre-fill AP form. Tailored approval flows. Cons The system price was not competitive with the other payment systems we were considering, especially for their fees for foreign currency payments, which were four to five times higher their competitor. Invoice image capture takes a day for turnaround. Need to pre-fund a separate account for processing outgoing payments. Duplicated some functions of our ERP (Acumatica), and couldn't have Tipalti import coded AP forms from Acumatica. Not easily adaptable for self-service AP submission by large number of non-accounting dept. users. I would like to give Procurement some more attention as there are some internal update I need to review. Hopefully I can improve my own process. Pros User friendly platform that allows me as the primary processor to get the work done and for users who use the platform less often to navigate with ease (PO platform). Tipalti Support is very responsive with guides and snags. Cons The AP bill processng page can be a bit cumbersome, as it requires multiple clicks and some back-and-forth navigation to upload information for PO versus non-PO items. Pros Tipalti has in instrumental in so many aspects of our accounting improvements. We have implemented bill approvals with keeps us compliant as well as everyone accountable for their budget. We have been able to streamline and shorten our monthly closing process thanks to Tipalti. Lastly, Tipalti cards has allowed us to enable employees the ease of a company card with fast tracking and reconciliation. Cons I would love for a few tweaks on the platform interface but aside from that, no major cons. What more could you ask for? Pros After some disastrous implementations, Tipalti's white glove service was a breath of fresh air. Our implementation lead, \[sensitive content hidden\], walked us through each step and always made sure all of our questions were answered. This was by far the easiest implementation we've made. It made it completely worth every penny. Cons The UI is just a tad on the older side. I know they've got a lot on their roadmap but the automation pieces of it are still a little clunky. As volume started to pick up and required purchase orders to be created through Teampay, we started seeing blatant sync/connection issues with Netsuite. Pros The software functions pretty well on it's own, and handles invoice processing and vendor payment easily. Cons We had a ton of issues with our connection between Teampay/Tipalti/Netsuite. We were sold Tipalti and Teampay as a package deal and they definitely have not lived up to the promise. Both softwares would function better on their own, but they need each other to be a full end to end procurement software. Efficient, Transparent and Organized Payments" January 26, 2023 5.0 I prefer Tipalti over all other AP software. It implores the help of vendors to get their respective invoices paid, which means there is less back and forth between the Finance Team and vendors. There is full visibility on where the invoices are in the payment process and that eliminates a lot of back and forth between vendors regarding payment status as well. All in all, a great tool for vendor management, invoice processing and payments! Pros The software was easy to use, and made the process for onboarding vendors quick and seamless. Vendors were able to assist with the creation of their own profiles and were able to navigate the portal pretty easily. This eliminated a lot of tedious work on our AP side. It allowed us to have vendor profiles setup quickly and allowed us to process payments in a timely manner. I also really like the fact that the software recognizes past invoices and vendors we've worked with, and can populate future invoice processing based on these past transactions. We work with the same vendors on a consistent basis, so when the software recognizes that and helps us create invoices based on past projects, it helps speed things up on our end. An incredible timesaver! Cons We send out batches of payments each week since we work with tons of vendors, but unfortunately we don't get alerts when a payment for a specific vendor doesn't go through. This could be for numerous reasons, but we don't realize that the payment was denied until a vendor reaches out. Then we need to navigate back to the transactions to figure out why it didn't go through. So maybe more alerts/notifications when something gets denied especially in regards to payment processing as that is the main reason for our utilization of this software and we can't afford any delays in remittance. After integrating with Tipalti we've been able to reduce that to 1 day a month and significantly increase the accuracy and timeliness of payouts. The functionality provided relative to the cost is a steal. While we'd love to see more customization, they're working hard to release new features and we've been very pleased with the relationship so far.
