Pros Acronis can take a server's image and put it any hardware other than its original. Cons It a bit expensive than other rivals in the market. Pros Being able to back up to a local share and recover from a local share is handy because you can cloud back up at one location. Pros Considering the other backup solutions, Acronis is one of the best backup solutions I ever used. I tried many more backup solutions but they gave me a real headache when going to restore backups, When using Acronis Backups I was able to do the restorations without any trouble. and really easy to do scheduled backups. and clone disk function is also working perfectly. It operates so well in the background that I have a schedule for myself to keep verifying that it is operating. No pop ups to purchase more services. Cons I had one update that had to be ran twice. Pros This platform works great for office 365 eco system back-ups. There are no data caps and it's very include of all items in office 365. Cons There was some delays in getting this going at first, however it works well once deployed. They should really have an integrated one drive/teams/outlook back-up setting instead of multiples. Cons Slows down the network resources when running during the day. Also backing up multiple servers has to be done as two separate backups at different times and if they overlap, the backups fail. Pros I was able to do backups from the computers, create a base image and deploy universally to different type of machines, also the cloud functionality is awesome. Pros For a large company like ours we find that our backups need to be done frequently and extensively. Acronis has been able to give us the option to backup our systems and restore in the event of a hardware failure. It has kept machine downtime to an all time low. Pros Acronis is for the most part the most comprehensive and well designed bare image backup and recovery tool. Everything you would need to clone and back up your hard drive/system is there. and for the most part easy to use. Cons Acronis can be unwieldy at times. There was certainly times where I felt frustrated trying to do a simple task and it wasn't as well laid out or as well designed as it could be. Also Support takes weeks to respond to tickets. They make a pretense of 24/7 support, but all you get is email support that arrives days or weeks after the fact and hasn't been helpful once. It is in it's second iteration now, which seems to be much improved. It has a nice multi-tenant feature so I can manage multiple client through once pool of storage. No per device or user licensing costs is very nice. Cons When it first came out, it required an agent, even for cloud-to-cloud backups. This is now seemingly fixed so it's less of an issue. The setup was easy, and for the few machines that it has worked with so far, it was relatively painless. But for the times that it's failed, it's left me a little worried about how it's going to operate in the future. Pros I found that Acronis was very easy to set up. It has clearly named agents and most of them are very easy to get up and running, with a simple connection method. Cons We have experienced some hiccups with having this software worked. It came highly recommended from our MSP, but after the first few days it had an issue deleting VM snapshots and filled up the datastore. I have looked at the backups while "in progress" and more than once I've seen some sit there for hours "not responding" and failing to back up. Review Source Mike L. Cons What i really don't like about this software is the fact that sometimes, out of nowhere, you get error messages that are not being specific as to what the problem is.
