We have not been with Sensei Cloud long but so far, I can see the e service products saving much time in verifying insurance information, submitting claims, computing out of pockets, sending prescriptions. Managing lab cases is very nice.

Pros

Integration is never easy when implementing a new system. That being said, it has not been that difficult and actually went better than I expected. There are quirky things that we are learning, but the support has been very helpful and very quick. The more that we are using Sensei Cloud, the more features we are finding. The e service products (claims, prescriptions, insurance verifications etc) are very nice as we were mostly doing this manually before.

Cons

The information that was converted from the old system did not seem to be as much as we would have liked. We came from Soft Dent which is from Carestream as well, and I would have like to have seen the two programs communicate more and transfer more information

Reason for choosing Sensei Cloud

As we were with Soft Dent already, the cost of converting to a new CareStream product was much less than purchasing a new system. We were hoping that since it was part of CareStream that more information would convert easily between the two systems.

Not Great. Aside from cloud access and ePrescriptions, we have lost much of our ability to analyze and run our practice.

Cloud access and updated feel. ePrescriptions

This program feels like it was designed without a single dentist's input. While it is probably a great program for a new dentist starting out, there is no ability to customize the program. Certain workflows have limitations that you cannot override (ex. giving a courtesy to a patient with credit, transferring balances among family members). There are ZERO long term business analytics.

I use Sensei for 8 hours a day 5 days a week- my entire job is both Sensei, Patient Manager and creating spreadsheets- I have very few complaints and would recommend Sensei to any office looking to make the change over. I've trained a couple employees on basic tasks such as scheduling appointments, creating insurance claims and treatment plans and I've never had any difficulty as the software itself is very user friendly.

Pros

I love that Sensei is constantly wondering what they can do to improve the software whether that's through The Exchange, the "Submit Feedback" function where I can vote on other user's recommendations, or calls with staff like \[sensitive content hidden\] to help review the software, calls with \[sensitive content hidden\] from Patient Manager, or visits from \[sensitive content hidden\] regarding imaging. The CareStream staff has been incredibly helpful and we appreciate the kindness that is shown to us during these calls/visits.

Cons

The only recommendations I have for the software are small adjustments, most of which I was able to go over with Brande and she was able to help me find answers for. The remaining notes I would be happy to submit through the User Feedback Site.

Overall I am very happy with it. More than met my expectations. One thing very nice compared to the last software program I had, you do the updates and the updates don't mess up existing programs in the software. I don't lose programs like I did before.

It is easy to use. Support is very good, get immediate help. Has what I need and want.

Now that covid is over being such a problem, I would like the screening pages removed. Unnecessary for me. Otherwise I have no other issues.

We have had nothing but aggravation, disappointment and the doctor has had to pay out much more in salaries to compensate for us working from home just to get day to day things done because of constant workarounds.

Pros

The integration process was okay but we had to do alot of old information deletion leading up to the switch. I did not expect it to be anything like our old software but I expected a less flawed softeware. There were and still are many things that were promised to be implemented and have not been. They are updating regularly but so much more can be done.

Cons

Provider production/collection don't seem accurate. Financial reports are not easy to create or read. I have been hearing about "Sticky Notes" and "Combined Family Billing" coming since we started in Oct 2021 and that still hasn't happened yet. Still has a flawed Bulk payment feature since it was implemented and it has not been repaired yet. The ease of flow, common sense items and basic billing necessities just aren't there.

Reason for choosing Sensei Cloud

Because switching to another Carestream product seemed to make the most sense.

### "Too many lumps , not ready for primetime time"

In 30+yrs, this is the WORST management decision I have ever made. I feel like we are their guinea pigs. There is WAY too much wrong to fix in short order. After 3 weeks , we are aborting back to Pworks till the dust settles then we will look elsewhere. BTW, back in the day, we were Beta testers for Pworks 5.0 and the office has been computerized since 1980 with Commodore 64s and Premier from AG Florian.

Everything else. Between my Office manager and 2 receptionists, there is over 105yrs of experience in the profession. These are the top of the topshelf workers. I have a mutiny on my hands and have never seen a new piece of software, equipment, etc destroy moral as fast as Sensei has and they spent a month online practicing. Buffering is slow. It doesn't save things then you find 4 copies the next day. Can't delete templates etc as you learn...just inactivate, etc. Complete modules don't work!!! Stupid things like "acquire a new image" to open imaging to view films.

Customer service with Live chat. Ease of patient intake and scheduling.

Cons

Insurance claims - there are 15 statuses, some of them are auto applied, some are manual, some are both. Not knowing what they all mean or which is which. Pt due/Ins Due/total due does not always reflect correct amounts resulting in 3 different amounts and confusion on the financial page. Not being able to bring up or download xrays that were taken at our second location is one of the biggest issues.

The worst dental software you can work with - I highly recommend looking for literally any other software out there because they may promise you a lot of things with their platform, but your expectations will be quickly met with DOUBTS.

Pros

Easy to use UI with the ability to look over charts with ease. The easy to use interface makes it clean for any user, whether it be administration or clinic employees, it gets the job done.

Cons

Where to start - support is abysmal. Any issues you have with the software will take days, if not weeks to tackle. When you submit a ticket, make sure you read up because most likely, you're going to have to figure it out yourself before a support person gets back to you saying "let me see if I can get you in touch with someone else". It's run by a bunch of people that have no idea what customer service means. Outside of support, get ready for the most insane statement for services - we agreed on a fair price that almost doubled within our first month once we realized how much add-ons were for essential features of our practice. They'll also raise the prices of certain things without notification, so make sure you pay attention to your monthly statements and add them up yourself because $1200 might magically turn into $2000 with no notes. The system itself is in terrible shape. Sure - it looks great, but imagine having to click 18 buttons just to check someone out for their appointment only to have to go back into their ledger and edit it because somehow the procedure code was repeated 3 times for one visit. My recommendation would be to LOOK ELSEWHERE. We chose Sensei because of their partnership with SoftDent, a software we loyally chose back when we first introduced our first computer to our practice. We were told that it would be an amazing upgrade to what we were previously using, only to find out it would be probably the worst decision we could make for our practice from a functionality and administrative standpoint. Good luck, Sensei. You need to figure it out asap or else you will not survive.

Cloud based software. Love the access to my patient information anywhere - not just in my office. Design is upgraded and sleek. The Carestream team is constantly looking to upgrade the features - listening to users along the way. New upgrades are being added constantly. Integrations have been added to link Sensei with a patient manager, ePrescriptions, and iTero.

Cons

Couple issues regarding syncing of schedules among different computers - sometimes need to manually refresh screen. Reporting not comprehensive yet.

Pros

I love the hyper links in the system and the ease of navigation throughout the system. The statement and account billing is easy and I love that I can work on statements and still go into the schedule of needed and the systems saves my progress on the billing statements. The correspondence and email functions within the program are very useful and appreciated as well.

Cons

The ledger functions could be expanded and made to function with more ease. The treatment planning could also add some features to make the process easier and user friendly. Posting procedures could also have features that would prevent mistakes as well like incorrect teeth numbers for certain procedures.

### "Sense Cloud"

The Sensei Cloud Team is amazing. Though we have had some pain points with conversion and functionality, customer service was and is always available to help us, listen to us, and do the best they can to figure out what needs to be done. Customer service is why we stuck with Sensei Cloud. I understand Sensei Cloud is ever evolving and hopefully it gets to a place where we can run even more efficiently. At this time it seems pricey for the functionality you get and for the workarounds you need to implement to utilize the software. However, you cannot beat the look and user-friendly interface.

Pros

I would say based on all the Practice Management applications I have demoed/used, Sensei Cloud is the most visually appealing. The user-interface is great. It is easy to find what you need, even if it is your first time using the software. It makes our office look like we utilize state-of-the-art technology, which is important. I love that everything is backed up immediately with unlimited storage, making our old server obsolete. The customer service is second to none. The Sensei Team really has been paramount to making our experience thus far a success.

Cons

Conversion, as I am sure with any software, is messy. Sensei can be quirky with certain functionality, which requires our team to find workarounds for what should be easy tasks. Functionality that seems common sense from other practice management software within the Carestream family was not ported over, which makes our office less efficient. Reporting is lacking and confusing at times. Billing needs a complete overhaul. Sensei Imaging, which one would expect to be a seamless integration within Sensei Cloud creates a variety of issues and lacks basic functionality. Sensei Cloud, Practice Manager, and Patient Forms should be one product (a one stop shop). Sensei Cloud is expensive compared to other PMS, which do offer a one stop shop option for less money. Other PMS is priced by location vs. by Provider, which makes more sense. If current pricing included Practice Manager as well and all were rolled into one nice package and one site, you would say the price is spot on. We are paying a premium to use Sensei Cloud at this point for the look and feel. No other PMS looks as clean and modern in my opinion.

My experience has been great so far. Customer service is very prompt at addressing my issues. There has been very little downtime and the software works exactly as advertised.

Pros

The software is very easy to use. Everything that I need is built in and I can use it from any computer. It’s really easy to switch between my practices and view imaging so I can pretty much work I don’t have to pay for extra licenses and user names.

Cons

There aren’t many things I don’t like. There are features I would like to them add like the ability for patients to check in Via text or a sign in screen but there are updates every day so that is probably on the way.

Horrible, frustrating, paying premium price for a service that doesn't deliver.

I liked what it is advertised to do - appt reminders, texting w/patients, email campaigns, etc.

Cons

Full of bugs, we delayed going "live" for TEN months, because it failed to synch our appts, current patients are missing, inactive patients are appearing, the wrong cell phone numbers are linked to patients, and on and on.
