Our audience relies on these events for their families and Socio has allowed us to continue to provide these resources to our audience when they probably needed it the most. Many attendees have commented that they prefer our virtual events over in-person because the virtual events accommodate their busy schedules. Sponsors also see the value added in participating in our virtual events because their virtual booths continue to get attendee traffic event after the event concludes. Pros Socio is very user friendly and their support team is easily accessible and available for help when needed. Socio is visibly appealing to attendees and easy to navigate as an attendee. Socio's team is customer service focused and every person I've worked with there is upbeat and always willing to go the extra mile to answer questions and find solutions. Cons Socio is frequently making improvements to their product and adding or upgrading features. There are a couple things on my own personal wish list of things I would like to see at our virtual events, but I'm sure Socio's team is already working on these. Such as a more robust filter system and more customization options for virtual sponsor booths. Both of these features have been upgraded since we started using Socio. I know Socio's team is always looking for ways to improve their client's events. I use it almost everyday at work. It especially assists me the days I work remotely from home. I collaborate with my team members throguh Webex audio and video calls. I securely share information, files, and docuements with my colleagures throguh Webex. Pros I enjoy working with Webex. What I like most about Webex are mentioned in the following:Webex offers you with high quality audio/video calls and meetings.Users can join WEbex meetings from different devices and they can change between them in the middle of a call. I do this most of the time, when I am leaving my workplace for home.Participants can share a variety of files amongst themselves, and there are also web-based content sharing extensions available.Tools for annotation-check are available.The capability to record a meeting or calls is amazing.There are facilities for screen sharing, browser sharing, and chat.Additional security measures are taken into account in Webex. Cons I do not have many dislikes about Webex. I mention a couple of them in the following:I find the Webex web-based version a little weaker than the mobile-based version. You can not control the comments, and participants' text in the public chat box. The free version of Webex allows up to maximum of 100 attendees in a meeting. Pros Webex meetings keep our data and privacy protected while we connect from any device and anywhere, what stands out most about this tool is its video quality during videoconferences, its definition and quality of detail is superior, imposing more professionalism and confidence when connecting with another person. Webex has the basic functions and extra functions to make it more complete and versatile, among them: good integrations, good annotation tools, good customization management, you can enable closed captioning during meetings, real-time screen sharing (whether of apps, files or my desktop), it also has a very useful whiteboard, meeting planning and organization through calendar integration of choice, either Microsoft or Google, and control bar with features to enhance the videoconferencing experience. So thanking the team for this and hope they still update it better than what it is today so it can reach the level which we expect from it in upcoming years. Pros \> The primary option which I liked really in this software is connectivity from other sources like mobile phone or other for audio connections which helped me a lot whenever I was stuck in the less internet connection speed. > Webex is so far the best one I have ever seen where the speed and ease of use is on the stake here. Cons There is really less things which I don't like about this software which is desktop application readiness. Whenever I always connect through the desktop application, sometimes it takes a lot of time to join the meeting which would result in some of the escalations which you can get in your professional life. However, Webex knew better to measure up Pros I've been using Webex for over a decade. Being a Cisco product gives me the guarantees of being robust, secure and continuously updated. In the last year, many new Artificial Intelligence functions and other interesting features (p.e. simultaneous translation) have been integrated. In addition, it complements very well with the rest of the Cisco portfolio for videoconferencing, voice, contact center, etc. Cons Little to complain about Webex. Perhaps that is more expensive than other similar options. But it is a product oriented to professional use that is worth what it costs. Security is very important, and that pays for. We use it here in our company to collaborate with colleagues, other department and investors sometimes. We really like the quality of experience that it provides to us, (clear audio and video). Great for presentation and not as basic as usual share screen. It has a lot of very useful features that improve participants' interaction. Pros \-Host can easily control and manage the meeting -Transferring of larger file(larger than what you can share via email) while in the meeting/conference -Special features like Noise removal and Immersive Share. Noise removal/cancellation is very useful especially for those that don't have a very quiet work place. You can use a shared screen as a virtual background through immersive Share. The best feature from an administrator's standpoint was the support team you could simply chat with at almost any moment. Sometimes with other companies you have to schedule a support team especially if your event falls on the weekend. The ease of changing anything on the app as fast as possible is also a major plus. The events we manage always change on a dime, so the ability to make changes quickly were paramount to us. The time spent fixing weird glitches were almost non-existent. Nearly all of the issues worked themselves out, or had solutions that I, myself could troubleshoot without having to consult the support team at Socio. That says a lot about the work they put into locating bugs and debugging the app. Pros From an administrator's standpoint, the software is very easy to build something that you want branded for yourself and your organization that functions well for users. You can make your app about as complex or simple as you'd like based on the event you're managing. Not to mention, if you need to work around the original intention of some of the features that Socio already built, there's some flexibility. For example, the organization I work needed a directory for our membership, however, there isn't a way to simply upload data and build a directory-like feature that included biographical information, photos, contact information, etc. However, we were able tailor a feature that was originally intended to showcase Sponsors and it appeared to our users as the directory. The flexibility Socio provided to tailor the app to your organization was really great. Cons Logging onto your event, and changing events is a little funky especially to an older demographic. To change events, you have to tap on this square with an arrow in the top left corner and then a pop-up appears asking if you would like to switch events. An older demographic that attends all of our meetings don't completely understand that, thus switching isn't entirely intuitive. That function is important to us as well because we have multiple events throughout the year, so our users have to switch events frequently throughout the year. The other issue is the refresh button. We would have to make changes to our event's agenda on the fly and at the last moment many times, however, the app doesn't auto refresh. I'm not certain if that's a lot to ask for as I'm not a coder, but instructing and reminding an older demographic to "refresh" their app requires as much work as updating the agenda itself. This is not to say that nothing in the app updates whenever you do make last second changes. We would run into issues when adding PDF's to certain agenda items at the last second and not everyone having access to them. The "shake" feature is also very confusing to the older demographic. The app definitely needs to add function to customize the bottom bar, home screen, and shake feature a little more. It would be helpful to have the option to remove this function entirely. We have switched to MS teams and it is goos and working fine. A bit less on AV from Teams but its ease of access, user interface and user experience is very much more good than other applications. Pros Webex by Cisco almost started a new trend in the AV communication and then later onn group meeting and then went uptill webinar, but as we got modernized webex did not. It added many new features to the application but probably in the older style where they did not keep an important thing in mind that is ease of access. The more features were added the more complex they made it to work. Still i would suggest if your work is realted to AV services only with WEBEX then you would not get a better application that this. Cons The time when Webex started putting in new features, they missed ease of access and sometime the dropdown were too complex that not for everyone but middle aged people like 45-50 years working corporate employees found it too tough for them to use or understand the new features that was introduced. Still on AV part, I am the biggest fan of Webex and still for our candidates interview we use Webex for other things we opted for other products like internal meetings and internal chats and communication. Pros \- high quality level of video, audio and screen-sharing that is on par with other similar applications. - the ability to call into a meeting from a phone - has a schedule view that's integrated with Outlook Cons \- meetings chat is basic in terms of features and functionality - no participant tagging, no rich text support - file sharing is awkward so we rarely use it - recordings take a long time to be processed and are with poor quality compared to other similar applications - recurring meetings in Outlook that no longer have a Webex meeting attached/associated, are not updated in WebEx - I still get WebEx notifications about meetings that take place in other conferencing apps. We needed the software to facilitate a community environment while allowing the platform to live stream using our own chosen platform. Socio came in at the right price for the scale and scope for what we needed. Pros From the research process to executing our program, Socio exceeded expectations the entire way. We needed a solution outside of our current website/database because our program was for people outside our membership. Socio's registration component was very versatile and facilitated the unique group registrations and discounts we offered with ease. The Community platform we used for our 5-month event was super user-friendly and intuitive for our attendees and staff conducting the event. You do not need any advanced experience with web development or technology to build out the community as you need. The Socio support team is also quick to respond and always very helpful. Cons The standard template to build out the community is pretty rigid. We had to adjust some of our styling and graphics to account for what Socio's template allowed. It was not prohibitive in our facilitation of the program, but just more inconvenient. The other thing we disliked was the inability for event admins to make account changes for users. Several times we had users change jobs, therefore, changing their emails. Each time, we had to go through Socio support to get them access to their account. It would be a much better process if event admins can adjust usernames/emails for their users. Reason for choosing Webex Suite Other products offered more functionality than we really needed for our community. Socio was the perfect fit for the scale of our event and came in at the right price. Pros One of the features that caught my attention was its flexibility in terms of access from different devices, Webex also gets you out of trouble with audio-only connections in a video conference when your internet connection is slow. The use of this software saves time and travel resources, it also streamlines work locally, it is not only good for remote work, it is a professional and complete collaboration space. The software is easy to use and fast, beginners can start working with this tool after familiarizing themselves with it for a few minutes, as it has a user interface where everything is at a glance and you can customize your space during a meeting with your control bar. Since its private and secure, it is widely used in large organizations as the primary conferencing tool. It can easily handle about 10 different rooms joining a video conference and also about 200 participants in a web conference. The call quality is really good and interference is very rare. If you can afford it, Webex is the best investment for team meetings. Pros Webex app is available for all platforms both laptop and mobile. It allows multiple ways to join a meeting - through the browser, the Webex app and also dial-in. It also provides a call-back feature to dial-in to the meeting which is very useful when you are in a remote location. The host can easily mute/unmute participants and control all aspects of the meetings. We can also record and share the meeting sessions easily via cloud. It also offers screen sharing and whiteboard features. Any user in the meeting can request control and annotate on top of the shared content. This is a great add-on for collaboration. And Webex is well integrated with Outlook and other Calendar apps, so its easy to host and manage the meetings. Cons It requires installing the Webex app or a temporary application to join the meeting. Sometimes the meetings are slow to launch. The recorded sessions can only be played using the Webex player, so it's hard to replay these sessions on a mobile. I have been online with several hundred people all sharing video at the same time for some online company photos and it was fine. We tried teams for the same thing and it hung up. Cons Sometimes we face audio and video issues..there will be lag, sometimes other user can't hear what you saying, even though you are unmuted.. Sometimes screensharing won't happens even if you share screen.. By that time you need to restart or re-login..it will definitely work..
