Some improvements could turn it into a near-perfect product. Pros My client uses WebEx as the preferred way to engage in conference calls. The outlook extension makes it easy to embed a WebEx URL and call details directly to a calendar invite. From there you just need to click the link during the meeting's start time and it's easy to join. The system typically remember's my login credentials once I'm in the room the system prompts to connect my audio/video devices. There are many ways to connect but I prefer to have the system call my cell phone. It's also easy to present and WebEx provides the option of sharing you full monitor(s) or limited your presentation to only select apps. Cons I think Cisco WebEx could use an overall in design. It feels a bit dated with the use of of icons, or lack of. After presentation mode is connected, it is typically smooth but it is common for a delay to occur during each initial connection. Is very important that the basic plan is for free. Im very satisfied and I have installed Webex in all my devices (tablet, laptop and mobile) I use it on a weekly basis for Seminars and for meeting with colleagues. I suggest it for every proffesional without any doubt. Pros The positive thing is that the basic plan of Webex is free. The environment of Webex is very friendly and even if you are a first time user you can use it without any difficulties. Cons During online seminars I noticed that the screen sharing when the tutor wants to share the screen is not so clean.I believe that the poor signal it affects this feauture of course but even in locations with excellent signal I noticed that. There is a lot of information about Cisco webex on the Internet for those who want to take advantage of a tool so powerful that it is not only designed for the work environment. Pros A fairly effective and above all reliable tool, which keeps our meetings and information securely encrypted from end to end. cisco webex is a great way to keep us communicated and work going no matter where we are, it has a variety of features that allow us to collaborate without any problems, I can upload all kinds of documents or share my screen or a specific application on my desktop during a live session. Cons There are few things I dislike about Cisco webex meetings like its prices, it is expensive compared to other video conferencing software that is also good, and its interface structure, there are some tools that seem to be hidden when they should be at hand, it needs to be more practical. It does it’s job, and it’s simple to use. Would recommend. Pros My company uses this software as its primary meeting tool. It’s incredibly easy to figure out. It walks you through the important stuff, like joining a call with audio/video on or off. There’s a panel that has all your needs in one little bar, like muting, sharing content, turning on video. It’s got a handy chat function that allows you to send group or individual messages. The settings are pretty user friendly as well. It’s easy to figure out how to do things like change audio input/output. All the options are in a place that makes sense and it’s very intuitive. I very much enjoy that it syncs with Outlook as well. Meetings that I schedule automatically pop up on my calendar. Cons A few nitpicks - the chat function doesn’t change color or distinguish between individual or group messages, so it’s easy to miss if you’re receiving an individual message in the midst of a group chat. It also doesn’t have emojis, which I know are typically frowned upon in business, but some of my teams actually encourage their use depending on the context of the meeting. There is also an odd audio bug that I have encountered a few times where the desktop version creates a consistent echo on a call, and it’s sometimes solved by calling in with a cell phone. Pros Is a tool that allows you to provide or receive support remotely. Some of the main features allow you to control a remote computer. Pass the audio over the remote support session. Transfer files between your machine and remote machine. Chat over the session and use your keyboard type or customer keyboard format to write. Cons The tool sometimes is confusing for some customers due when you ask them to join a session the portal ask the customer's their information and then submit but it doesn't show any loading screen or notification to the customer that the session is going to start, (the application start on the background but the web page reload the join option again), this make the customer think they had to enter their data over and over if the application doesn't start immediately and causing the session to crash in some occasions. Its strength is that it allows screen sharing during the call, which allows everyone to view the projects presented at the same time. Pros In addition to allowing screen sharing, it has a virtual whiteboard option where everyone can interact throughout the video call, which makes the conference more dynamic. It also has internal chats, where we can send documents, audios and all kinds of attachments during the call. Cons You must have an excellent internet connection for the call to flow smoothly. On some occasions, the recording option does not work properly, so when you want to listen to the video conference again, it is not heard properly. We can connect to Webex through our laptops, phones and computer too which is too convenient because we don't have to be in a certain place to access this. We can access Webex from anywhere with an Internet connection and a suitable device. Cons I personally feel there is a limited choice of virtual backgrounds. Pros First installation of this software is really simple. It also has a simple interface thus its easy for one to use it. It also has highly advanced features which makes people conduct meetings smoothly without any obstructions. Lastly in addition to its many functionalities what I like is that you can record a session. Cons The internet bundle usage is really high since it produces quality videos. Not often but sometimes joining a meeting using this software takes time due to the server issues. December 14, 2018 5.0 Before we adopted Webex, when my software team did code reviews we had a couple of people in remote locations who would attend by phone. They would often lose track of the thread of conversation or be in the wrong spot in code review packets. (This applies to other types of meetings I had, but most of my meetings were code review meetings, so I'll talk about them.) With Webex, we could create a virtual meeting room and whoever's packet is being discussed can share their screen and guide the rest of us through it. It has not only made for better meetings, it has made better code possible, and allowed our company to spread out the talent within the company. Pros The features on this software are handy. You can do whiteboards, screen shares, chat windows, video chat, and it can even sync up with your calendar on Microsoft Outlook. Cons I don't really have too many negative things to say about this software. If I had to choose something, it's a little (not much) too complex to set up some meetings. Of all the business applications that are used in my organization, Webex is one that I've come to trust that it will always be working, and working well. It is easy to use, and the quality of the calls are top notch. Our organization uses a number of web conferencing services, including some that we host internally on our own infrastructure, and I often recommend Webex over our own internal service as it is just that much better in terms of quality. Despite the fact that it lives outside our network, I have never noticed any bandwidth or performance issues, and this is saying something considering that our internet link is notoriously inadequate. Of the variety of external services that we do use, I've found that some are often finnicky or don't work, but Webex works 100% of the time. It is my go to for large scale meetings where quality and reliability are of the utmost importance, because I know that it will deliver. Cons One gripe I've always had with Webex are some of the quirks surrounding audio. For one, the functionality where call in users are linked with their web sessions is pretty weak. While you can certainly do that, I've found that people don't really understand how it works, and we typically end up with about 75% of call in users who are not linked, which can make it really difficult to figure out who is speaking. Improving that process would definitely enhance the experience. Also, integrated audio and teleconference audio do not seem to link, which is a bit odd and annoying,. it would be great to bridge those two audio services, so that all users can hear each other, regardless of which audio option they are using. Pros I love using Webex Events because of its ability to host more than 1000 people in one event. Another thing I love are the in meeting messaging feature and the ability to manage the participants. Cons Most of the features I found annoying four years ago when I started using Webex Events have been improved and the software works perfectly.
