### "Getting better but still changing features nearly every day"

Our company uses Cisco Webex to both interact with customers in a support and services role, as well as internally for departmental or company-wide meeting. At one point, the product was very difficult to use as it was not very intuitive, with cryptic icons making things even more confusing. I have noticed over the past few months that the changes being made are for the better, morphing into more of a Zoom style application, as well as labeling being added to the icons I mentioned. It is still somewhat confusing for both sides, as there are things hidden when screen sharing is used. I am glad to see the improvements that have been made but it's still not the easiest product to use, especially with customers who are already frustrated with the software they are contacting us about.

Pros

Cisco Webex allows our support department to troubleshoot our company's software while speaking with them at the same time by screen sharing.

Cons

The Cisco Webex product features are always changing without warning. There is no consistency with the updates and in fact sometimes they happen in between uses in a single day.

The experience with webex has been good. It helps us stay connected at any point of time as required. It makes discussions easier and also with it's live chat makres communication better and interactive. Presenting what you have been working on and all the plans with the team is really simple with webex.

Pros

Webex has a great user interface, which makes it really easy to use. One of the best feature of the applicatio n is that it has built-in settings to adjust the quality of the video based on your internet connection speed. We can constantly stay in touch by chat messages, voice calls, or scheduled meetings. Screen sharing helps share data with others in the meeting easily. We can use the whiteboard independently, during meetings, or screen sharing

Cons

Free Basic Plan is not suitable for large-scale meetings as there is a limit to the number of participants you can have in a meeting. Sometimes the loading screen is slow which could be improved. Other than that the application works great.

I used Webex for over one year, before my company decided to change the main chat platform. It is a reliable software. Could improve at some points, especially regarding the interface of the software, but overall a good choice.

Cybersecurity. Cisco takes privacy and data security seriously; Possibility to access a meeting using a phone number; possibility to share files;

not well developed interface. It seems old and dull; huge CPU use and storage; no remote control feature;

### "Use a better provider than WebEx"

We signed up at the start of the pandemic, when all videoconferencing providers were looking for ways to handle the effects of the pandemic, but my company is currently switching away from WebEx, we all complain about it regularly. The main reason we chose WebEx was the fact that attendees were not required to download software, but based on how the usability is, that's not a big deal for us anymore, plus a lot of people now have Zoom or Teams downloaded. It took a lot of use getting use to WebEx, it wasn't very intuitive. The support has been lackluster when we've encountered issues.

Pros

The video quality was okay. The fact that downloading a program is not required for attendees.

Cons

User functionality/ease of use, scheduling and calendar events, the website, support, how hosting the events is handled with user accounts.

### "Easy to Use with Some Bells & Whistles"

Pros

I really like using Webex. I like that it integrates with Outlook so I get a special pop up window to join my Webex meeting. I also like that it will automatically open on my computer since I have Webex installed on my device.

Cons

Webex is constantly changing and improving these days but it does lack some of the fun features that other products have. It took a very long time to get custom backgrounds. Even the ones that are available by default are very businessy like a virtual office. Also if you make someone a cohost, they can close the whole meeting. That has been an issue in the past for events when I didn't have a chance to save the chat because the entire meeting was closed.

The ability to dial-in to any conference and lead virtual meetings easily - even for those on the road! The assigned dial in codes make it easy to put the codes in meeting invites with the number format as such: xxx-xxx-xxx,,xxxx#. This is a trick for those using the conferencing service internally and dialing in from a smart technology such as a phone where the dial in can be used as one link and the phone automatically follows the prompt. Easy driving and dialing with just the push of ONE link. It's amazing!!!

Pros

The way the conference dial-ins are structured make this conference line easier to use than any others I've had experience using. The conference service gives you a specific unique participant dial code and a leader code. It makes it so easy to set up and launch conferences. Other services switch up the #s every single time so you lose consistency and can only have one meeting live at a time. It makes it tricky when meetings bleed over and people are still chatting but you need to launch your next meeting.

### "Excellent Enterprise Conferencing Solution "

Pros

One of the nicest features is integration with Microsoft Outlook to make creating meetings seamless. The WebEx conferencing details can be inserted into an Outlook calendar item with the simple click of a button. Several options exist for joining WebEx meetings including downloading a launcher utility or launching directly from a browser session. Launching from a browser seems to be one of the more efficient methods in terms of total number of user actions needed to access a meeting. Joining from a mobile device such as a smartphone was also an easy experience using the web interface.

Cons

The myriad of methods available for joining a WebEx can seem overwhelming. Depending on the method used to attend you will need to decide how to connect audio or video which can also be a little confusing. The ability to choose a set of persistent default settings when attending a meeting would be a nice addition.

We use Webex for all of our scrum meetings. It is a tool that is good for that specific job and I prefer using it for the scrum ceremonies over Slack and similar services. Whenever I need a quick call, though, it's so much easier to just click a button in Slack than go through sharing a room link in Webex.

Pros

Webex is a good tool for video conferencing. It does that particular job probably the best of all tools I used so far.

Cons

Other than video conferencing, all the little things that come with that are actually slightly worse than in the competitors. My particular grief is the annotation (screen drawing) tool that is very unintuitive, gets interrupted whenever the presenter does anything, and requires special permissions to use.

Overall WebEx has been a great success for ourselves and requires very little overhead to administer, a massive plus from an admin's perspective.

Pros

Easy to use functionality and deployment to large scale organisation. Creating the package for the software was painless and users tended to pick up the use of the software with minimal guidance required. Management from the admin portal is painless and user editing/creation via CSV is a breeze.

Cons

Screen share can (very occasionally) have issues. This is the only flaw I can I can identify currently, and must stress it is intermittent/minor.

We previously used Webex and then switched to GoToMeeting due to cost. Once we were acquired by a larger company, they had a corporate-wide Webex mandate, which was nice since it had a few more features than GoToMeeting. Now every employee has a personal Webex instead of it being restricted to outside sales and tech support.

Pros

Webex if definitely the most widely known meeting program out there. It definitely works well for large webinars to small internal meetings. One of the biggest advantages is the built in recording and post-meeting publishing for a recorded meeting. This is helpful for post-webinar dissemination to clients, partners or internal team members. For enterprise wide it is definitely the better option.

Cons

Just like Skype or GoToMeeting, unless Webex is given priority of service in your IT setup, you will have bad call quality. We wrestled with that for about a week before our IT department figured out what was happening. Once that was set up correctly, there was no issues with the software. This should be something that is done upon adoption of Webex, not sure if they tell the team setting it up though.

Socio is by far my favorite platform.

Pros

The accessibility features were a huge draw. Also, the customization features are second to none. Almost everything is customizable which is great. I work with many Rare Disease communities and by being able to customize everything (like the icons to reflect hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc) it makes the community feel connected to the event.

Cons

I wish the game was a little more customizable.

Pros

I like the fact that i am able to collaborate with users on the call, as an application support analyst, I am ble to take control of users screen to assist with resolving their issues, chat with them in real time and this has made support very much less stressful. Also the webex training session, i love the fact that it makes training interactive and engaging, asides from presenting the screen you can engage class, split classes into groups. My first training felt like a classroom session.

Cons

Asides from technical difficulty for non IT users,who might require assistance to navigate around. The site has a lot of great features. I'd recommend.

I have used WebexEvents pretty frequently in the last 10 months and have been quite impressed. My biggest note is the customer service. The techs on the other end of the online chat have been extremely helpful and responsive to any questions I've thrown their way.

Pros

The ability to build a registration page and mobile/web app within a templated platform for ease of use, but a polished look

Cons

I would love some game templates in the mobile app. Different kinds of games to choose from for use.

In alcuni casi sarebbe stato interessante poter salvare direttamente dall'applicazione il contenuto delle conversazioni ma non era possibile; il testo si può comunque copiare ed esportare in altri programmi.

Praticità di utilizzo, interfaccia semplice ed essenziale, adatto anche a conferenze con molti utenti.

Cons

Occasionalmente è stato necessario rigenerare il link della meeting room perchè gli invitati non riuscivano ad accedere, non offre possibilità di salvataggio delle conversazioni.
