I found it useful because it can be used to dial numbers and can support a conference. Cons It’s not as fancy as Slack, and not as comfortable as Teams. July 2, 2022 5.0 Pros Through many meetings and examinations we had over Webex, I could easily says that it is far more superior that the competition with HD video and audio quality. The platform support was also a quite surprise, not only popular platforms like ios, android and pc were supported but there was also an apple watch app which was really useful at times. Cons I had an issue of overheating on my iphone while using webex, but that is common on other platforms as well since video conferencing needs a lot resources. It was very beneficial to have a sharp focus while using it for educational reasons, even when the camera was modified. Pros There is a fantastic free version of Webex, making it quite affordable. I also like that all you have to do to use it is click the link in an invitation—you don't even have to download anything.It was good to be able to deliver the content more effectively by using the zoom function of the cam Cons Using my home PC behind a VPN to join Webex meetings has proven to be challenging for me. This is why I could only dial in and couldn't watch the meeting. Even after installing the necessary plugins and other items, I was still unable to join after trying every recommendation that was provided to me on the screen. I'm not sure if the problem was with the remote dongle provided by my company or Webex itself. It just sat there spinning and would not launch. Pros I cannot say I didn t like Webex. It was a nice tool, the quality of audio and video was always good, no matter where if I logged from home office or headquarter of the company. Cons I wouldn't neccesarly classify it as a con, but I would like to have more functionalities embedded. I think it is better whe you have a tool and you can message, call or have a video conference in the same place. Webex is also not that user friendly as Teams or Slack. I also loved that I could schedule sessions hours or days in advance, notifying all attendees. Cons I found out annoying to have to keep downloading an EXE file each time I wanted to join or host a meeting. This was mainly because my IT department hasn't given us admin rights on our computers so the browser plug-in couldn't be installed. Pros Socio has been incredibly impactful for our internal company-wide events! The best part, in my opinion, was the easy accessibility for all attendees of all event information while on-site. Cons I would like to see an improvement in the live streaming capabilities within Socio. It would be great if there was a more intuitive integration with Zoom, including a more simplified setup process, as well as integrating the live chat between the 2 platforms. " May 14, 2018 5.0 I like WebEx and you will also. It's reliable and backed by Cisco who makes sure everything is running smoothly. WebEx helps me close business and helps me do my job quickly and more effectively. WebEx helps me prequalify candidates before my sales team books a trip to a potential new client site and this process helps my company save money. It's more expensive then the others out on the market, but you get what you pay for. Pros WebEx is the most widely used presentation software on the market today. It's very user friendly and you don't need a technology degree to figure out how everything works. I've never been kicked out of an meeting or had issue with getting and staying connected. With the Cisco brand behind it, WebEx is the 900 pound gorilla and it shows. Very reliable. Cons Sometimes if a customer using an outdated browser and has to download software to get WebEx working can be frustrating and time consuming. I've also found that Google Chrome works the best with WebEx and Firefox isn't bad either. It's Internet Explorer that can be a pain and I've never had really great success will people using Safari. This is a CON for all presentation software systems like this, but I've found WebEx's software and user experience can be more troubling to install then the other competitors out on the market. Again, we had the Orange Glove service so we had several trainings (staff, speakers, sponsors) and brainstorm sessions to help teach us about ways to maximize features and build an engaging virtual conference agenda. Lots of great trainings and idea shares! Pros This platform is so versatile for streaming options--you can use a variety of streaming options or use the one they offer. It also keeps your audience's attention with incredibly engaging features and a great variety of them--from gamification, a social wall, integration with the virtual lounge of your choice (same for a virtual photobooth) to the chat, polling and q&a offerings, attendees are enthralled and truly participate. Additionally, having the mobile app complementing the web app means if an attendee needs to step away from their desk during a virtual event, they never miss a minute of content. Cons While the initial buildout felt daunting (we bought the Orange Glove service so did not have to do this ourselves)--once the hand off from the Socio team to our team was done and we were trained, it was fairly easy and intuitive. Now that we've done it once, we'd likely be able to do our own event builds in the future if we have the time/bandwidth--but truly, it's a fantastic option to be able to have the Socio team perform the buildouts. It should be so much easier to create an event. Then once you get to the event, you can't get in because you need the host who created it originally to sign in first. It malfunctions, and all too often you look like a gigantic idiot in front of higher ups and clients because the conference platform doesn't work. It allows us to train new hires, schedule 1:1s with employees, or simply collaborate to bring out a project. Pros I have several favorites when it comes to Webex. I really like how you can schedule unique future meetings with recurring sessions and how you can also schedule ad-hoc meetings using your Personal Room. The use of the personal room is one of my favorites because you have your unique link that you can start whenever, or you can choose to not use your personal room and schedule meetings ahead. I also like the new virtual background and blur features that were just released. Cons Sometimes it uses up a lot of bandwidth... that's to be expected. However, it can cause overload when you are sharing webcam and perhaps doing a demo on a product. Of course that is relative to your OS, but it's one of the things that I notice specifically when I use Webex. August 17, 2018 5.0 I have had great experiences with Webex, the mobility of this software allowed me at the time to attend, manage and coordinate different high level meetings and also to be able to do online training. It is very easy to use, and the interface is very intuitive. I recommend it to organizations that want to standardize their meeting communications through great tools. Pros Webex is a very useful platform for meetings and training through the advantages of e-learning. An intuitive platform and on a cloud platform. It allows you to have private meetings and possible users so that they are not present at a certain moment of a meeting. Although many companies use it for video conferencing meetings, today different tools are integrated to leverage e-learning on the same platform. A meeting through webex, I can make the observations of the meetings to see it later. Cons The truth is that it would not bring disadvantages of functionality to the platform, the only thing that does not allow you to have 10 out of 10 is the cost of licensing to have a number of users, since my assessment is costly.
