Cons What I dislike the most about this software is that it is fraught with lag time and errors / crashes. In my department, we actually plan ahead to anticipate these problems by starting our meetings early, which wastes valuable time. If I have six meetings in a day, and it takes me 10 minutes per meeting to sort out software issues, that is a whole hour of my day wasted. Also, often times the software issues don't get resolved, and then I have to reschedule the entire meeting for another date / time, which wastes everyone's time. Do you know how hard it is to find mutually agreeable time for 30+ people to meet?! Maddening, I expected more from Webex, but it did not deliver. Also no accommodation needs. Pros has a great user interface, it is easy to use and has options for video and audio calls you can choose depending on the strength of your internet connection. The host can give control right to another user who is connected from another location and actually present as if they are the hosts. There is also an option for chatting to both everyone on the call of privately. If input is needed from other participants there is an option to annotate. you can also raise a hand if you want to talk. Cons It needs a good internet connection which becomes a challenge if you are trying to connect from an area which has no good internet connection Review Source Zuber A. July 29, 2022 4.0 I have been using MS-Teams for quite a while now but when I got an invite for an Scrum master training with Webex link I was quite surprized. At a first glance, the application looked similar and was intuitive. Audience reactions with animated emojis was a standout feature to me. When I used the polling and Q&A the results were visually appealing and dynamic with active polling. The rest of conference features are more or less similar but webex has designed it in a more creative way. During the training I also realized the content focus from stage to whiteboard layout was also something I have not seen in any other applications and it gives a wow effect. Also the "control bar" on the top can get in your way while sharing the screen and trying to click on some browser tabs on top of the screen. The software is robust, but these drawbacks are showstoppers to me. Pros The best feature, IMHO, is the host controls, that can help more than one people to collaborate and talk in the same meeting. It is easy to see who is connected and who is leaving the meeting. Also giving permissions to other users is quite simple. Cons The worst thing is that it is a "real" application. November 8, 2021 5.0 For the last 2 years especially during the pandemic it really helps us communicate clearly in a way that we can still feel as if we are in the same room doing the huddle or training. It's one great software that is user friendly. I'm very happy with Webex. Pros What I like about about webex is you can interact with the host itself and there is emoji which you can use to lets say raise hand if you hve any question. You can also present pdf or powerpoint presentation and share your screen if ever you need the participants to follow an instruction about the topic. We mainly use it for training the colleagues for new process so with thay features it really helps us understand the topoc at hand. You can also due breakout room for remote grpup activoty which is nice. Cons I can't really sy any cons regarsing webex because they've pretty much conskder anything that the user might use. Pros Webex works seamlessly with in-room video conference equipment and mobile apps, which gives me the ability to switch between taking a call from my computer, my phone, and from a conference room. Cons I have not had many difficulties with Webex. The only issue I've had is with security settings on certain government Webex meetings. Web Interface if one does not want to install the client. When it works well, it is stable. The ability to record meetings is great especially in the current environment when many people are working remotely who have not done it much. Cons A little bloated if one installs the client. Sometime the integration with other apps just disappears. Sound is often an issue: echo, statically, inconsistent volume. The Web-Based interface does not play nice with other collaboration of meeting tools. Forced to download the client-- which is to big. Need a light version. It has proved to be convenient for use, it has allowed for seamless collaboration between myself and my team members and this has improved our overall productivity. Pros Cisco Webex is an awesome tool that packs in so many unique features with near endless possibilities. These features include and are not limited to; High Scalability in terms of accommodating participants ( Webex allows up to 1000 participants in a conference), Provision of Reliable End-to-End communication with little (mostly negligible) or no downtime, and can be set up easily. Cons Overall experience has been good, however i feel that video quality can be improved upon, also updates to the mobile app needs to be released more frequently. Pros Cisco Webex is extremely easy to use allowing us to host meetings whether for 2 people up to 20000 people. It has excellent sound and video quality. Cons The software install on the user machine is a little slow and requires administrative rights in certain cases. Sometimes the software has to be reinstalled to function correctly. It helps with team meetings, sharing files, and collaborating on projects. It's a useful tool to get and give real-time feedback. Pros It has some great features for meetings. During team meetings, you can highlight or focus on the person who's speaking. This makes it easy for all attendees to stay attentive when there're a lot of people on the call. Cons Nothing major. But my workplace is less formal than some office spaces. Thus adding emojis, stickers and gifs would be greatly appreciated. We like to cheer on other people during team meetings and those would add a nice touch to that atmosphere. Pros Basic functionalities like virtual backgrounds, meeting invite management, screen sharing etc. all work well. UI is easy to navigate and pick up. Comms quality (voice and video) are both good with no significant latency or quality issues like static. Pros I am having meetings every once a while via Webex and I must say that I am satisfied with options it provided me with, especially when I had a meeting with my HR as it was innovative way for me, when we were divided in a couple of groups which had to utilize their unique view on some topics about our daily jobs on our own wall. Cons Sometimes my team and I used to lose connection to the meeting, in case it exceed before set meeting time, for instance instead of half an hour, we had to review some additional topics for which we needed at least an hour, but as soon as it was 30:01, meeting would end. If you want the most crisp voice in a VOIP call, you shall go for this. However, you'll find many competitors for this tool which provide much much better UI with a good quality calling. Also, other collaboration tools also provides many more features on the go which are heavily lacked in this tool. Pros 1\. Cisco Webex provides one of the most crisp voice via VOIP in the industry. I have used almost every software for collaboration, but Cisco WebeEx is by far the best for VOIP calling. 2. Easy to use for old age users since the UI of the tool is pretty big and upfront. 3. Cisco as in brand name in itself provides reliability in its product and you will sense same level of trust and reliance in WebEx as well. Cons 1\. You will hear un-invited sounds in the tool, majorly when new participants are entering or exiting the bridge, which cannot be turned off and are very annoying. This shall be fixed or at least a choice shall be given to the user to either turn it on or off. 2. Build quality of the tool is very outdated. Today, you can find tools which are much more intuitive and beautiful in nature. WebEx is not one of them. 3. A little guide shall be introduced to users who are logging in for the first time. This would help user in understanding the UI upfront, rather than researching or googling it. Then they released a Chrome addon that doesn't require any elevated privileges and it works great. I recommend this tool. Pros Been using this tool working on Windows Server infrastructure since 2017. It's easy to use, can record sessions, and the remote desktop controlling works great compared to other tools. Cons Sometimes when controlling a remote desktop, there are invisible windows that don't let me click somewhere on the screen. If you are aware of that, then you shouldn't have any troble. When we use it at work, for large meetings, or one that requires to be recorded and played on another video platform, we have to get technical help internally. There are a lot of connection issues. It's not as interactive. Connecting 100+ people to the meeting at the same time, raising your hand, connecting from many different devices (having a mobile application). File and screen sharing is one of my favorite features. Cons So far, I haven't come across anything that I don't like. Even my friends who used it said that they were very satisfied. Pros I like that I've never had any problems getting into a meeting with this software. Most other conferencing software like Skype or Hangouts have had issues. WebEx is one of the top two conferencing apps and has the fewest problems. I that even if I need to use the phone to connect to the conference instead of my headset mic, the software makes this easy to do by having the phone call you and all you do is press 1. Cons I don't like having to install the native client to use screen sharing, but I can understand how anything otherwise would be a security risk and is not the fault of Cisco but rather how browsers are designed with good reason. Outside of this minor inconvenience, I have no substantial complaints.
