Cons

I would say everything is perfect about webex, please go for Webex.

### "cisco webex is the most trusted and reliable meeting program"

February 28, 2021

5.0

we have been using cisco webex for more than a year and we are happy to conduct webinars and virtual meetings for our team, it is easy to schedule a meeting and it helps us to be more productive during the pandemic, It works very well for us.

Pros

the advantages of using cisco is we can conduct meetings, webinars and it can be used for remote work, as during the covid this is being the most helpful and secure meeting platform for us. it provide all the features of a program that is used for conducting meetings and webinar and the best thing about using cisco is their security. the video & audio quality is good. we can do screen sharing during presentations and also record the meetings. it works amazing.

Cons

There is not much which i dislike about this software as i found this software more trusted and good for it's use, yes but it would be better if it provide more features like microsoft teams. but still it is very good.

### "Great Use for Regional Conference"

February 25, 2022

5.0

Overall experience was positive. I will recommend it to other organizations within my University.

Pros

The ease of use for the registrants was unmatched. Our whole conference was easily accessible through the site, with everything centralized.

Cons

Nothing too major. I just wish I was able to directly address a question through the Q&A portal.

### "One of the most useful apps during pandemic"

February 12, 2022

5.0

During the pandemic it helped me with my classes, discussing project details with my team and a lot of other things. One problem though was that sometimes there would be an audio problem, I am not sure if this was due to webex or a hardware problem from my part

Pros

Very easy to use, very easy to enter the conference room and share screen. I very reliable program in terms of performance as well.

Cons

Sometimes during video conferences when sharing screen I would get some reaction from people watching that there were some gray boxes in the shared screen.

I found webex to be more user friendly and most of my friends and professors were using webex. Furthermore webex gave the chance to have a local domain from my university and in terms of security I believe this was very important.

### "The most reliable conferencing software out there"

April 20, 2021

5.0

After having tried several other products, I have come back to WebEx time and time again.

Pros

I use Webex to teach continuing education courses at my local community college. I actually pay for an account out of my own pocket after having so much trouble with the software the college provided. Webex is very consistent. It's rare that a student has trouble getting on. It allows me to share my screen, record sessions, track attendance, use breakouts, share files and video. Really, anything I've needed to do. The phone app is very good and I've had to use it when my power went out during class. I just hopped on the mobile app and finished teaching from my phone.

Cons

The only downfall of the software is that users have to download a plugin to use it on their computer. Rarely do any of my students have an issue with it. However, people seem more resistant to downloading things these days and some of them do complain about it.

### "Pretty basic virtual meeting tool"

April 25, 2019

4.0

We are spread across a dozen states with vendors across the world. We needed a reliable virtual meeting tool to be able to connect with people remotely.

Pros

Pretty easy to set up and use out of the box. Easy to send the meeting invite to potential attendees. Once you start a meeting, the meeting owner can control access, can mute all attendees, etc. There is a chat feature which allows users to chat one another during the meeting. Can chat with the entire group or select individuals. Can share screens or pass the sharing permissions to others in attendance as needed. Multiple ways to connect to audio, either through the computer audio or dial in options.

Cons

Can be difficult to get folks logged in if they don't use it very often. There are often audio issues and meeting attendees can have issues connecting to audio if they're not paying close attention to their options. Most of the "cons" from my perspective are related to the users/attendees and less about the tool. There are tools out there that have more capabilities and easier navigation, Cisco Webex is a nice tool for remote teams.

### "A chat tool that keeps getting better"

May 3, 2018

4.0

Communication & Meeting tool rolled into one easy app!

Pros

We really pride our in-person meeting styles even when working remote. Being able to schedule meetings in Microsoft and have that translate through to our chat and video tool is important. Cisico Spark although a newer tool has shown constant improvement in bringing all of the WebEx tools and features I am familiar with to a robust chat/communication tool and the SmartScreen applications. Being able to use the SmartScreens with the tool and connect, share, conference with easy is very helpful and packaged into one program.

Cons

Tool is relatively new and started with some bugs and limited features. Connection to smartScreens is highly dependent on good WiFi connections. Explaining how to create meeting invites that will sync with Spark tool has a bit of a learning curve to it, as well as initiating meetings with spark.

### "WebEx has all the bells and whistles you will need to connect your business"

January 14, 2019

5.0

Overall, I would recommend this software to anyone but especially larger organizations. For small startups there might be easier and less overwhelming options.

Pros

I think Cisco has done a great job of continuing to simply their platform. I used to get frustrated with how hard it was to just start an impromptu meeting. It felt like it was perfectly positioned to plan a large meeting with a lot of people in one week but if I wanted to just start a meeting right now with one person than it was harder. They have improved in this area tremendously. You just start a room, send the person a link, and they are in.

Cons

The icons as the bottom of the video were confusing at first and then there are a LOT of options in the upper nav so at first it was confusing trying to get what I needed. The download process for new people that are invited doesn't always go swimmingly either but for the most part is ok.

### "Great new interface - simple and easy to use"

January 21, 2020

5.0

Great - when multiple emails come in asking for clarity, I can open a quick 5 min Webex and I have the ability to show quickly what I'm talking about and give/get clarity on what needs to happen rapidly. Also good for remote management and showing support what I need (used it the other day to solve a technical issue just by showing what I was doing and support suggesting a couple commands to try and BAM - found the mis-configured setting and set it back successfully and the switch started functioning properly.)

Pros

New interface and WebEx Productivity Tools. Productivity tools has frequent updates and its easy to see when an update is available. Ability to start meetings from desktop or mobile device is also easy. Like the new default features for WebEx call back and disabling video on room entry. Also new personal room features are nice and straightforward. The recording feature is also quick and seamless.

Cons

Not a lot, most of the new features have addressed issues. Don't like that I can't save more personal phone numbers to my profile - There's really 4 conference rooms at work that we use often so would be nice to have the ability to save them all to my profile along with my desk and mobile numbers.

### "Webex Gets Things Done"

May 12, 2021

5.0

Overall, using WebEx has been a positive experience. When the world seemed to change overnight and we all went into virtual mode, Webex definitely did not get hacked as much as other platforms.

Pros

For the most part, WebEx is user friendly. It allows large groups to connect in one meeting, has breakout room features, and can launch polls for the participants to take.

Cons

The downside that run into often is when we have multiple presenters. If I am the host, I must “pass the ball” to the next person for them to be able to change the slides if a presentation. If a third party guest joins and they have their own presentation - you have to wait for the ball to be passed and for their screen to be shared. You can make it happen it just doesn’t seem smooth.

### "Good stand-alone tool, has fallen behind"

May 24, 2024

4.0

Pros

High quality, stand-alone tool for video calls. Have had fewer service interruptions or bugs compared to other conferencing tools. Call center integration is great - if your business is centered around such an integration, it might very well be the most effective tool to use.

Cons

Integration with greater work environment leaves a lot to be desired. It's not that Webex is bad per se, but with other tools integrating into email, chat, JIRA, etc. the added friction of Webex can be a pain.

### "Dependable and Reliable conference tool"

September 18, 2018

5.0

Remote meeting from differnet locations especially where someone need to share their screen. It helps us test solutions with remote participants from any part of the world.

Pros

I have used multiple tools for confrencing starting from skype to bluejeans and what not! No tool is as reliable as WebEx. There are three key aspects to any confrenceing tool - Video, Audio and Screen share. All other tools works great for one of these aspects but It's frustrating if any of one doesn't work smoothly. WebEx covers all three aspects and works every single time/meeting, I mostly use it for remote usability test where you need to particiapnts need to be on a video call while they interact with the solution you are trying to test. I like how you can provide control to the particiapnt in case you want to test something confidential. Scheduling meeting and sending invites are really easy and at the same time it's same for the participants who need to join the meeting.

Cons

Sometimes you need to reinstall the browser extension to make it work, It's still easy if you are a power user but not a smooth experience for someone who is not that computer literate. Video quality is also not that great compared to other tools in the market, It can be improved.

### "Great video conferencing tool for all levels of business"

January 8, 2019

4.0

Collaborative efforts is key within my department so ensuring everybody is on the same page is important to function correctly. Scheduling meetings is an everyday task that I complete so I need to ensure that doing so is easy and hassle-free. Webex meetings has given me this opportunity with its intuitive interface and high quality video/voice conferencing, so the premium version is recommended to anyone that holds meetings frequently, as the free trial only lasts 14 days and a maximum of 3 people can use it.

Pros

The quality of the video conference is very good, everything can be seen quite clearly as long as members have semi modern devices/desktops they are using. Cisco gives a lot of flexibility when bundling which services you are looking for so you are not paying for bloated software. Interface is very modern and many options are available at first glance. Also has the option for voice conferencing so not everyone needs to be using a device that is video enabled. The app on mobile devices is also very useful and convenient.

Cons

Although you have bundling options, it is still quite expensive to continue to use this software. Only if your team/company/department holds a lot of meetings is when you'll find that you are getting the best value for your money. Also scheduling a meeting in the future sometimes does not have a contingency option when someone is not available at the time, such as leaving a message or a detailed notification that a meeting was missed.

### "Webex"

April 3, 2019

5.0

Pros

I like that Webex is virtually hands off as far as set-up and use. So long as firewalls and proxies are set as needed, the software connects to the Webex servers and meetings can be conducted smoothly. Dial in or sans audio participation are available, and a fully-featured chat-screen share option works as advertised.

Cons

Webex servers seem to constantly have bandwidth or maintenance issues. Dropped calls and other video anomalies happen just often enough to be anti-productive. As a tech, I have needed to remove and reinstall the software many times. The nature and use of the software adds extra pain-points to users, when they really need to conduct or be in on a meeting that started 10 minites ago.

### "There's competition out there. Why so few changes to WebEx?"

March 7, 2018

4.0

Great tool for presentations and dynamic meetings.

Pros

I've been using WebEx for more than a decade. It is familiar, recognized, and for the most part, reliable. More than anything, my clients are used to me saying, "let's hop on a WebEx" and there is little trepidation about downloading a plugin or making something work.

Cons

I've been using WebEx for more than a decade and it wasn't until I started to get on calls with other vehicles that I realized how much innovation there is in the space. I started to feel like WebEx has been sleeping on the job. And while security is important, why do I have to jump through so many hoops to get a meeting started, or have a degree in rocket science to set up single sign-on?

### "Webex was the best platform we could have chosen (and we trialed many!)"

April 28, 2022

5.0

We have only used Webex as a virtual platform, so I would say the biggest issue we solved is Sponsorship Benefits. The sponsorship benefits on Webex was absolutley incredible - something you can't accomplish holding a conference via Zoom or even other virtual event platforms! We would also like to use Webex for hybrid or in-person events and use their other features (QR codes, lead generation, etc). We know how valuable these features are, and knowing how easy the interface of Webex is to use, we may end up switching from our current provider.

Pros

The build out process was phenomenal, and the support was constant. The backend has support 24/5 with immediate response times, and the Socio Knoweledge Base was extremely helpful and instrumental in helping me with the build-out. The features that are included are incredible, and I love that it's also mobile friendly!

Cons

There were some issues with the video rooms, but it was on the user end.

### "Straightforward, but Not Intricate"

August 26, 2019

4.0

Webex is a straightforward solution to 95% of our meeting needs. The one downside has been a lack of reliability with VM compatibility, leading to brief losses of productivity.

Pros

Cisco Webex allows for basic functionality that you'd need to run a remote session and present your material to others. You can share your screen, and easily pass and request control. The interface is minimalist and stays out of your way. But it is difficult to access more sophisticated functionality like polling or sketching.

Cons

I have had numerous issues with using the Cisco application on a virtual machine. This is problematic because running a Webex on my virtual machine allows me to work on my main machine while still monitoring a remote session on my VM.

### "WebEx is an industry leader for colloboration across the globe"

March 22, 2021

5.0

Overall Webex is an excellent tool, highly recommended for the teams that are not collocated.

Pros

WebEx is the best tool that I have used so far for conferncing and sharing. I have used few other tools for colloberation with teams that are not collocated. The best feature that I like is WebEx calling me so that I don't have to remember or dial in the nubmers. Sharing and chatting during the sessions helps teams to be connected. Recording the sessions and reusing the discusions are added advantage.

Cons

The tool is very good but users that do not have administratitve priviledges cannot install the client tool. WebEx should provide otpion to not install client tool on the admin drive but else where user have access too.

### "Great and secure"

July 18, 2020

5.0

It could use a bit more of a modern touch, the set up definitely looks a bit outdated, but it truly gets the job done and feels very secure, there isn't much more that is required from software like this.

Pros

The security that comes with using Webex is what makes me most comfortable. I have used this software for meetings and there is comfort in knowing that the connection, the conversations, and the environment is secure, especially when there are other platforms that are not doing what webex is.

Cons

When first downloading it, there isn't an extensive tutorial about the features and little things about the software, and although I am tech savvy and can figure things out easily, many people I have worked with struggle with the simplest things. In the moment tech support isn't an option, so I find myself helping other users on the call amidst meetings.

Switched from
