In the age of many other so called efficient tools for collaboration, I find Webex meetings super easy to use and connect with business associates. March 23, 2021 5.0 Pros We are pleased with the ability to tailor the event to the structure of our event. We are able to feature our sponsors, without whom our event would not be possible! The entering of agenda, presentations and presenters is user friendly to add via spreadsheet or one at a time. Honestly we are all volunteering to put on this conference and we don't have a great deal of time to explore and research every last function option. The Socio team has been great at listening to what we want and offering suggestions. Cons We would have liked to be able to use wonder a bit differently. We wanted the capacity to have round tables, use wonder to offer them, limit the amount of people and pre-register ahead of the conference. We don't really want people in one Round Table to jump to another one. Some of that was possible, but not all of it and in the end we went another route, just adding the Round Tables to the agenda. It streamlined the event process and experience for us as well as for our attendees. Our audience is comprised of busy executives and tech professionals who are not always easy to please, but the integrations, ease-of-use, and engagement features were a perfect storm that could not have been a better fit. Pros Our entire event process was simplified by using Socio. They were able to integrate with our registration system and it worked flawlessly, transferring our attendees from registration to the app while keeping them segmented as we needed. The feature set within the app covered all of our needs. We especially liked the digital guide in combination with the preset agendas - they allowed us to set each attendee's itinerary before they even downloaded the app, while still allowing them to view the entire agenda if they chose to do so. The gamification feature was also a huge hit that pleased our top sponsors and our attendees. What more can you ask for? The ratings, reviews, and surveys in the app provided us with the most comprehensive feedback we have ever received from our event, and on top of that, the feedback was the best yet! Cons The process of setting up the Apple Developer account is a bit cumbersome but is seemingly unavoidable in order to have a white label app. Socio has helpful documentation and support for this process but it was still tedious. It is great for screen sharing, chat, and allowing remote control of your browser or device. You can 'pass the baton' to another team member or remote support person and have them control the meeting or control your device. It is stable and is an invaluable tool to me. Pros Webex is great for online meetings and for remote support. I especially like it for remote support, where I can just give control to a support engineer halfway around the world and let them see the problem for themselves. Cons The only thing I can think of is that, if I am on a Webex using my iPhone, I cannot turn the volume all the way off. I can go down to just one 'notch' of volume. Review Source Tamir T. Pros I do a lot of virtual demos and events, it allows me to share my screen and specific applications instead of my desktop. Typically, there is very little lag time in visibility Cons Getting online with our customers can be a hassle when they are limited in their computer access or if their browsers are locked down. There have been times after several attempts I needed to revert to a different screen sharing technology. I’d say it works in about 80% of the time, but when it fails, it fails spectacularly. A good tool for holding meetings within the company and for communicating with clients. In compartment with audio and video calls, allows you to share your desktop, make audio and video calls, share files. The quality of video and audio calls is on top. Pleased with the availability of the trial version. Cons Unfortunately this is a paid app and its license cost is quite not cheap. Annoying that you have to install it on your PC, I would like to use a pure web application, well, or the maximum plug-in to the browser. The app requires a stable, high-speed Internet connection. Pros This software can be used anywhere you have a wifi connection -- no cell service needed to connect to your work meetings! They also have a pretty good app so if you can't get onto your laptop, use the Webex app and you'll have almost all the same features including being able to view the presentation! Being able to share your screen and even pass along screen share rights over to another person in the meeting room is very convenient. Cons The only issue I have with this software is that if a meeting ends and you don't exit right away, sometimes it will freeze the program and your computer the next time you need to use it. Director of Professional Activities Music Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great Experience with Socio" December 4, 2020 5.0 The entire experience, from the initial sales demo to the post-event wrap-up was superb. Again, the support was outstanding, and the personal service made us feel valued as customers. Pros We used Socio as the platform for our annual national conference when the pandemic forced us to transform our in-person event into a virtual one. We sought a solution that would work seamlessly with Zoom, allow for replay of our sessions, and drive networking (something very important to our attendee base). Socio met our needs very well. It was intuitive on the admin end to set up and flexible enough to accommodate some of the peculiar needs of our program. The gamification feature proved to be very popular with our attendees, despite our initial hesitation. The best part of working with Socio was their customer support. The support team responded to questions quickly and professionally. It gave us great confidence to know they were available, and they seemed genuinely interested in our success. Cons The issues we had with the software have mostly been addressed in recent releases. In the version of the software we used, it was not possible for attendees to network via their desktops or tablets -- they had to use these features on their mobile devices; however, the latest version allows for networking on both types of devices. We were disappointed that it was not possible to embed Zoom livestreams but Socio has now created their own integrated streaming solution that we will solve this for us in the future. Pros The only feature that was nice was having it tie into Outlook. Cons It is very clunky compared to other collaboration tools. I’ve worked with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom, and Webex has been the least enjoyable experience. Sscaling seems to be an issue as well when it comes to running events that have several hundred people in it. Pros Users are comfortable with this software at this point.It's not necessarily the best, but it's not the worst. I think there's many contenders that do the same role that WebEx does better. It's simply what we're comfortable with. Cons Integration when it comes to newer platforms such as iOS. The user experience isn't as strong when on a mobile device – – as well as on an android tablet or phone. The end-user really needs to use a computer to get the best experience with WebEx platform. Pros Integrations with Outlook and Cisco TV Device Cons The application keeps running forever. If you close the program through the file menu. This does not close the program, it remains running. Moderators cannot their meetings, if it ends early. The space remains running. Be aware that if you don't properly leave a meeting, everyone can see what you're doing if they go back into the space and you may not even know you're being watched. Worst feature, you're forced into video calling instead of just audio calling. Then you have to hurry up and Turn off video. So if your system happens to freeze (and this has happened before), oh well. Another worst, you need to call someone in the new spark to share screen. In this university most of the time using Cisco Webex for the online lecture due to the corona epidemic. Currently, we don't have the lectures as usual. Then we have only lecturing through the online. It is happy to say, in this university using Cisco Webex for online lecturing. Then no words to say about this software it is extremely awesome. There are good function in the software. Normally we are connecting near 40 students at once time with the lecture. It is not having a problem during the session. Video and audio are very clear. The PowerPoint presentation we can see on the screen very clearly. Then we can talk and ask the questions from the lecturer. It is happy to say we can finish our study on time because of this software. Cons I couldn't identify many problems by using this software. the only issue I've ever really had is some slight technical issues, where the Webex desktop app stopped working during a meeting I was in. The incidental function of removing noise without interruption makes the meeting more pleasant. It was also very good that it was linked to Outlook and could be displayed together on the calendar. Cons It is good that the meeting is held without interruption, but it is regrettable that it is inferior to other companies' programs with similar image quality. Also, it's a shame that it's not intuitively recognizable.
